Hey there stamping friends, it's Monday, and that means it's time for another creation with my stamp set of the month! My pick this month is the Oh Gnome stamp set by Lawn Fawn. And let me take a moment to share a little change with you, from now on my video demonstration for the Stamp Set of the Month will be on my YouTube channel instead of on my Facebook page. I will release that video on Mondays and will be giving away the card I make! All you need to do is watch the video on my YouTube channel like it and comment. I will randomly select a winner and announce the winner the following week, on the next Stamp Set of the Month video!
Now on to the super cute Shadow Box Card. The Shadow Box is made using the Shadow Box die set from Lawn Fawn as well as the Park Add On die set. You can use these dies to create any cute little scene. I love the depth you get when you look into this card, reminds me of a view finder picture. You remember looking into the red binocular like toy and seeing 3-D scenes??? That is what this is like, but with paper! So fun!
The box is so simple to make, you just die cut two of the largest die from the Shadow Box die set. One of them you die cut a window in, which you can do right when you cut the box piece, saving time! Then to create dimension you add die cut hills to the inside of the card, this is where you attach your die cut and stamped images to create you scene. Simple and so much fun!
If you look through to the back you can see there are trees, a cloud and a girl gnome. In the middle we have a gnome going for a ride in a wheel barrow and a mushroom. On the front we have trees, grass and some flowers. So with the front and the back of the Shadow Box and the two hill inserts you have 4 layers you can dress up. But that is not all, you can also dress up the sides and back of the outside of the Shadow Box too.
A note about the back of the Shadow Box. I covered mine with a piece of Watercolor Wishes paper. On one card I die cut this with the largest rectangle from the Shadow Box set and on another I cut a piece that measures 3-1/8" x 2-3/4" to cover the back entirely. This is the same size paper that I used for the inside back panel of the Shadow Box.
For all the stamped images I used Canson Watercolor paper. I inked up the images with Clear Pigment Ink and embossed them with black powder. To color them in I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Below I have listed all the markers I used.
