Happy Monday! Today I am bringing you Part 2 of my June Stamp Set of the Month series. That means a video and creations using the Rawrsome stamp and die set by Lawn Fawn. It's a stamp set that I picked to feature this month because it is versatile, has cute images and sentiments and, of course, a matching die set.
If you missed Part 1 you have to check it out, I made the cutest volcano card! Today I have created a card and matching gift box for Dad! You can check out the video below, but make sure you click over to YouTube and like as well a comment on the video so that you can be entered to win the card I made!
I LOVE the Leaf Pattern backdrop on this card, die cut from a Gel Press Print. If you want to see how I made this print, watch this video.
Now let's take a closer look at the Rawrsome Dad card made in this video.
These two dinosaur images are so cute! Seriously a Papa and baby dinosaur! I colored my images in using my Arteza Real Brush markers. Look at the blend! It's one of those things that we card maker's get excited about, because it was so easy and it turned out so good! Below I have linked the set that I have, the set of 48. But they also have a larger set of 96, if you love having ALL THE COLORS. Which I do and am so tempted to get, which is a real possibility because Arteza's products are so reasonably priced, and I am digging how this markers color. When I say they are a REAL BRUSH marker, I mean that the tip of the marker is not a felt tip like you might be used to, it is a brush. A brush like a paint brush. When you press down on the tip if fans out. That also means that the tip comes to a very fine point. So, you can going to use these a little different than you would a felt tip marker. These markers are water-based. Which means you can blend them! Blend them out with water, a blender pen, or with each other, like I did coloring in my dinos.
Now let's take a look at the coordinating gift box, made using the Popcorn Box die by Fun Stampers Journey.
For this dinosaur I reversed a coloring. Which do you like better, the blue dinosaur or the orange? Leave a comment below to let me know your pick.
In the video I show you how to make this box, which is large and best suited for a piece of 12x12 paper, using an 8-1/2" x 11" piece of card stock. The trick is to cut the card stock in half, so you have two pieces that are 5-1/2" x 8-1/2". Then on each piece cut one half of the box. Watch the video for my pointers and how to create a second tab to put this box together. It's pretty easy.
The oval on the front of the box was saved from the I Lava You card from last week. And, I used the Modern Frame die set to cut the two leafy branches from the same Gel Press print used to make today's card. I put some Cracker Jacks in the box for this picture, but I am going to be making some Almond Rocca for Dad for Father's Day.
Thank you so much for stopping by, taking time out of your day to let me share my creations with you! Below I have listed and linked all the products I used for these projects. If you have any questions just let me know, I love to chat with you.
