Welcome to Part 3 of my June Stamp Set of the Month series featuring Lawn Fawn's Rawrsome stamp and die set.
Every Monday I have new creations with this stamp set for you. Let's check them out and watch the video of the making of these two projects. Remember to comment on the video on my YouTube channel and you could win the card I make!
One of the things I love about this stamp set is the fun sentiments. And that they can be for Father's Day or Birthday or any other occassion. I purposely left the inside of the card blank so that when the time comes the appropriate sentiment can be added there, like Happy Birthday. Also, this set has the word Mom in it as well.
Lawn Fawn's stamp sets are great for creating a scene. Sometimes that can seem overwhelming. So, for this card I die cut a circle for my scene. Somehow having a smaller area seemed less overwhelming. I used two colors of distress oxide ink to set my scene; Salty Ocean and Ground Espresso. Then of course I splattered this with water, it is so much fun to do with Distress Oxide inks that I find it very hard not to spritz my backgrounds every time.
For all of the coloring I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. These water based makers blend together so nicely. You can catch the coloring and the exact markers I used in the video below.
For the coordinating treat box I used the Triangle Treat Box die by Fun Stampers Journey. Adding the lava layer to the top easily transforms this box into a volcano.
The splatter of erupting lava adds to the feel that this volcano is erupting and there might not be a tomorrow for my dinos. To easily create this splatter I used Cranberry Bliss and Citrus Cooler silks, another great product by FSJ.
Inside this box is a cellophane bag filled with a treat to give with the card. But it would also make a great party favor!
