Hey there stamping friends!
I wanted to share with you the card I made using my goodies from Penguin Palace. I won a giveaway and got their newest release of stencils and got to pick out a stamp set. I picked Penguin Agenda.
It's not necessarily a Christmas stamp set, but I wanted to use it to make a Christmas card along with the Crystal Snowflake Stencil.
See how cute these penguins are! They are excited and ready for some snow! Unlike me! I am enjoying this beautiful fall weather we are having in Idaho! But I adore how the snowflake background turned out!
I started with an ink blended background using Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks. I used a light hand so that the background would not be too dark. Then I laid the Crystal Snowflake stencil over the background and stenciled on the same colors of ink, for a subtle snowflake background. After cleaning off the stencil I rotated it and positioned it so that the snowflakes did not overlap too much. Then I stenciled with the new NUVO Glacier Paste in Sea Sprite. It is SO YUMMY! This paste is like a mix between Foil and Shimmer! I love the look I got with it.
The sentiment was stamped with the Peacock Feathers Distress ink and embossed with clear powder so that it would match the background.
You can watch the making of this card in the video below. You have to see the Glacier Paste in action!
