Today is all about slimline, rainbows, unicorns and watercoloring! Sounds like fun to me!
In Episode 4 I am making slimline cards! My current favorite thing to make! So, you knew there would be an episode with slimlines.
I made two different cards, like I like to do, both using watercoloring to color in my images. And it was so fun playing with watercolors!
Take a look at today's cards.
I pulled out a couple other Avery Elle sets for todays cards, Rainbows stamp set and die set and Peek-a-Boo Balloon stamp and die set as well. I really wanted to make a "somewhere over the rainbow" card. And there is where the unicorn is going in his hot air balloon.
I used my Arteza watercolors to paint all of my images and the sky background as well.
To give them a bit of shimmer I sprayed the sky and rainbow with Avery Elle Clear Shimmer Spray. A pretty easy card to make.
These slimline cards measure: 9" x 8" scored at 4"
The card front layer is 3-3/4" x 8-3/4"
For card two I used the Rainbows die set to make a shaker for the front of the card.
Each of the rainbow strips were die cut from a watercolored panel to give character to each piece. I also used those watercolored panels to stamp my rain drops on.
My shaker elements are from Nuvo, Rainbow Quartz Triangles. I might just adore these little iridescent triangles! I used them in Episode 3 for both of my shaker cards.
You can watch Episode 4 right here:

Hello my crafty friends. It is time for another Mystery Swap with my friend Jen Hartsgrove!
The theme for this months swap is Digital Stamps. Jen and I both chose digital stamps and we are both going to create with both of the images. Not only that we both sent each other a package of things to use with those digital stamps. It's super fun to see what each of us make, starting with the same supplies.
The digital stamp I chose is Cupcake from the Not 2 Shabby Shop. It is a free download! Here is a link to the Not 2 Shabby shop if you want to download this for yourself, plus they have great deals you should check out while you are there. Click here to visit Not 2 Shabby
I am a very simple Copic colorist. But, I was able to color these cupcakes, which I consider to be next level up from where I am at and that is because of the video on the Not 2 Shabby YouTube channel. It was very helpful to me, you can watch it here: https://youtu.be/Ep6PXqPGA2A
And here is the card I made using the digital stamps Jen chose and the items she mailed to me.
Hey there stamping friends! I know it's April and some of you do not want to start thinking about Christmas. But I thought it would be fun to make a Christmas card on the 25th of every month. And little did I know others had this idea too, in fact it's a month blog hop! So, I jumped at the chance to join this hop when they asked if I wanted to join!
Welcome to the April Crafty Christmas Club Hop!
To be honest, I wasn't sure if I would be feeling the Christmas mojo when it came time to sit down and make this card. But then I got a new die, the Slim Fancy Diagonal Stripes die by Pinkfresh Studio. It reminded me of candy cane stripes and my Christmas mojo was in full swing!
For the background, I ink blended a panel that measures 3-5/8" x 8-5/8", which is the exact same size as the die cut Slim Fancy Diagonal Stripes panel.
I used Candied Apple and Spun Sugar for my background. I am not sure why but in the pictures the ink blending has a bit of an orange tint to it, but not in real life. I loved the ombre look this gave to my background. I adhered the ink blended panel to the die cut stripes panel to complete my background.
I then set about stamping, topic coloring and die cutting my images, all from the Sweet Christmas stamp set.
Once that was done I used my Fine Tip 2-Way Glue pen to add glitter to all the images. This gave them a candy like look that I LOVE. It has been so long since I played with glitter like this and I remember how much I love it!
You can watch the making of this card in this video.

So, a great big thank you from me for your support and allowing me to continue to bring you fun new ideas with paper, stamps and ink.
I am so excited to share with you a new Spellbinders die set, Sunday Drive. This cute die set creates a convertible car. With all the accessory dies that come with the set you can make cute birthday cards. There is also a coordinating die set you can purchase separately that allows you to create wedding cards with the Sunday Drive set. So, I made a birthday card and wedding card for you today.
Look how cute these little cars are!
Be sure to watch the video for these cards where I show you the die set in detail, what is what and where it goes.
Here is a closer look at both of the cards I made.
I knew right away I wanted to make a yellow card with this set. And I love how it turned out!
And do you see how the trunk opens up! I put some presents in there! I found this die set pretty easy to figure out just by looking at the picture that comes with the die set. I found liquid glue to be the best for adhering these small pieces. It gave me time to situate them where I wanted them. The card itself is pretty simple. I did a little bit of ink blending on the background as well as some splattering to add some shimmer. For the road, I stamped and embossed a sentiment to fill up that empty space. And I found that "Celebrate" worked great for the birthday card and the wedding card.
Now let's take a look at the "Hitched" card.
I love all the added elements in the Hitched die set; the Hitched trunk sentiment, the floral pieces and the cans! Our neighbors are getting married in two days and now I have a super cute card to give them. They are making it simple as we are still in quarantine and having it in the back yard. Bless them and everyone who's had to make changes in their lives to accommodate the current circumstances!
To fill in the tail lights on both cards I used Nuvo Glitter Accents in Winter Cranberry. It's a great red tail light look! The hearts at the top of the card were hand drawn with these same Nuvo Glitter Accents. The flower accents really complete the look on this card, I love little details like this that make a card special. I can't wait to give it to my neighbor, she deserves all the happiness!
All the supplies I used to make these cards are listed and linked for your below.

Have a great day, stay safe. I'll be back again soon with more stamping ideas for you!
In Episode 3 I am making my favorite kind of card, shaker cards with the Avery Elle stamp set, Peek-a-Boo Fair.
For the shaker elements in both of these cards I used Nuvo Rainbow Quartz Triangles. Like kinda look like unicorn horns!
For card one, I brought in the Peek-a-Boo Pals stamp set to go with my Peek-a-Boo Fair set. My unicorn needed some friends to ride the Ferris wheel with him, that is where the sloth and panda came from.
One thing I really love about both of these cards is the Cloud Mat background. If you watch the video you can see how I used this die by Avery Elle three ways to make the cloud backgrounds in these cards.
If you look close you can see the blue sky in the background, that look was created with a little ink smooshing and Distress Oxide ink.
Card two features the Market Stand stamp set, another great set for all your Peek-a-Boo critters.
I turned mine into a kissing booth.
I love the rainbow clouds in the background.
I was brave on this card and hand wrote in the sign with "UNICORN KISSES". Not sure I love it, I wish my hand writing was better. But I am letting go of perfectionism!
You can see the making of these cards in this video.

Thank you for spending part of your day with me today! I'll be back again soon with more fun creations.
Hello my crafty friends. I am getting messy in the craft room today. My inner kindergartener is coming out to play. I am doing some finger painting on the Gel Press! No surprise, it was tons of fun!
Since I am showing off the Whimsical and Wild stamp sets today, which are designed by Jane Davenport for Spellbinders, I wanted to combine mixed media with my card making style. When I saw a finger painting video by Gel Press I knew I needed to do that for these cards.
I started by making a swirly background that I could stamp my elephant on from the Elephant Dreams stamp set. Then I would be able to do a bit of paper piecing and not color my elephant the traditional way. You can see the making of the print and cards as well in the video below.
I'd love to know what you think of my elephant, cause I think it's fabulous. Using a Gel Press print give is so much texture, depth and interest that you can not get any other way.
For my second card and the Giraffe Wisdom stamp set, I wanted to make a more intensional print, a giraffe print background. I started by making organic shapes with my finger and brown paint on my Gel Press. I let that dry and brayered over the dried paint with a golden yellow color to pick up the paint. I am so tickled with how it turned out.
To color my giraffe and the girl on the elephant card I used my Journey Color Burst pencils. I like the look of colored pencils with a gel press print.
If you would like to see me finger painting and making these cards you can watch it all in the video below.
All the supplies I used are listed and linked for you below. Affiliate links have been used, clicking them costs you no money and is a way for you to show support to the maker who inspired you. I thank you so much for choosing to click and shop my links and help me continue to bring you fun new crafty ideas.
Thanks for spending part of your day with me, I'll be back again soon with more cute things.
When Spellbinders asked me to create with the new Flourished Fretwork line, I knew I wanted to make some bold and bright cards.
What better way to do bold and bright than with rainbow!
To make my rainbow cards I cut some strips of card stock. Some to 1/4" and some to 1/2". I adhered the strips to panels of white card stock and used them to create these cards. Let's take a closer look.
This card features the Ornamental Valance die set, which is one of eight new die sets in the Flourished Fretwork collection designed by Becca Feekan.
With the rainbow strips behind this die cut cover image and the rainbow drops, I see an old fashioned candy shop.
The label on the front of this card was made from the previous card, I love when you can get two cards from one background!
The die cut cover image looks great in the background die cut from white card stock and adhered to a white card base. And every card in today's post is adorned with Rainbow Drops.
This rainbow strip was made using left overs from the background for the first card, so really I got three cards from one background!
The background for this card was made by embossing the Ornamental Valance plate into the card stock.
For the next three cards I used the Rosa Diamonte die set, another the the Flourished Fretwork collection.
I love that with this die set I can use just the frames for a fun graphic card!
Watch the video below to see how I made each of these cards and see these fun new die sets in action.
Below are all the supplies used to make these cards.

Hello my crafty friends! Welcome back, today's post is tons of fun! Pictures might not do these fun Tri-Fold cards justice, so be sure to catch the video! Both of today's card feature a unique opening to a Tri-Fold card. I cannot wait to show them to you.
First up, let's take a look at how the Ferris wheel card opens.
With some partial die cutting, the front of this card is the Ferris wheel.
Then you open up the sunset panel to the inside of the card.
And there is a cute critter from another Peek-a-Boo set, Peek-a-Boo Scary Pals set, on the inside.
Moving on to card two.
Love is in the air right here....
When you open the front cover, the bumper car layer, there is a second sentiment.
And a cute little surprise on the inside.
I'd love for you to check out the video and see the making of these cards.

Hello my crafting friends! Today I am here with a fun card. A card designed to send to those I am thinking about during this time of isolation. It is inspired by a roll of toilet paper stamp from the Costume Party stamp set by Lawn Fawn. This is not the first time I have made a card inspired by this exact stamp. In fact I have made two other cards centered around toilet paper. I am not sure what this says about me, except that I like to laugh and make people smile. You can see my previous tp inspired creations HERE.
For today, let's see how we can spread love and happiness with tp!
I had the exact sentiment I wanted in my head, so I went ahead and typed it up and printed it out.
On the outside of the card we see the sweet squirrel giving up his last roll to his dear friend the hedgehog. And hedgehog is trading what he has, an apple.
These cute little critters that face each other with their arms out are from the Festive Feast stamp set by Lawn Fawn. Normally they are sharing a Thanksgiving feast. And I just LOVE that tree stump that also comes in this set!
If you want to see what happened to all the toilet paper in the forest, check out the inside of the card.
A sneaky raccoon stole it all!
You can see the making of this card in this video.

It's no secret that I love the Glimmer Hot Foil system and all the things, so why not add it to my planner. The Special Month's Glimmer Hot Foil set is a set with a plate for each month of the year. My original plan was to use this set to make divider pages with tabs that have the month foiled on them. Once I got started I had more and more ideas and just had fun adding to and dressing up my planer.
And all that fun ended up being 5 ways to add hot foil to your planner!
Watch the video to see me add Hot Foil to my planner, because a touch of shimmer and shine is much better than a plain a boring planner!
Here's a closer look at the Glimmer Hot Foil in my planner.
No. 1 - Glimmer Hot Foil on the calendar page
I used 2 different colors of hot foil, Aura and Magenta to add the name of the month to the right hand side of my calendar pages. It is printed on the left hand page, but sometimes when I am flipping through it helps to have the month on the right side as well.
I found my calendar pages on Etsy, as very inexpensive buy. It was a digital, printable download. But once I printed them out then I needed to cut them to size and punch holes for them to fit in my A5 planner. I used the A5 Page Creator die by FSJ to do this. But it did require a bit of ingenuity with a template. In the video I show you how I did this and how easy it was to cut my pages to A5 size with the holes punched in them with this die.
No. 2 - Divider Tabs
Having divider pages with tabs is a must! So, I made a tab for each month, and they look amazing in foil! I used the die that comes in the Special Month's Glimmer set to create these tabs. This way I had a tab long enough for the word "September" and it was easy to trim down for "May".
No. 3 - Accent the Divider Pages
My divider pages were die cut with the same A5 Page Creator die. I alternated paper with each month. One being a very floral print and the next a pattern. Both prints are from the RSVP print pack.
Then I used an old Rotary Stamp I've had for years to stamp " Twenty Twenty". And finished it off with a label I made with the Special Month's Glimmer Set. This set also has 2 frames you can hot foil around the months. Each of my divider pages has a banner like this either in Magenta foil or Aura foil.
No. 4 - Customize your planner.
I used the same alphabet set to customize this pocket on my cover page with my initials.
No. 5 - Make Cute Things!
My planner has a window pocket in that is 3" x 4". I like to put something cute there and maybe with a bit of inspiration. I hot foiled these flowers, from the Radiant Flowers set, on another piece of printed paper from the RSVP pack. Added a sentiment and splatter. Quick and easy and it is the perfect cute thing to see right when I open up my planner.
Make sure to watch the video on my YouTube channel so you can see the full tour of my planner and how I made each of these elements.
Below is the supply list of all the things I used to make today's project. All of which is found at the Spellbinders shop, including the planner by Webster Pages. And much of it is currently on sale! Hey there crafty friends! It's April already and that means it is time for a new Stamp Set of the Month series. For the month of April I will be highlighting the Avery Elle stamp set, Peek-a-Boo Fair! It is the cutest stamp set, with a Ferris wheel, unicorn, and bumper car! And since I am already in love with the Peek-a-Boo collection from Avery Elle it was a must have set!
For today's cards I am putting this set in motion! To create motion I used an Action Wobbler and the Reveal Wheel die set.
Card one features the Ferris wheel. I colored a unicorn for each of the carriages, cause they are sooooo darn cute with their little hooves hanging over the edge! The pink unicorn is the one popped up on an action wobbler. There's always that one guy who has to rock the carriage on the Ferris wheel! Make sure to watch the video making of these cards so you can see it in action.
For the amazing sky I used the Cloud Mat die by Avery Elle. It's a great die to use behind the Ferris wheel because they way the die cuts out the wheel, you can see through the spindles. It give the scene a bit of depth.
Card two features the Bumper Car and is set in motion using the Reveal Wheel die set by Lawn Fawn.
As you turn the wheel back and forth the Bumper car moves. It's too cute!

I am excited to bring you Mystery Swap Collaboration with my friend Jen Hartsgrove of Katahdin Krafts! This is our first one, so be sure to let us know if you like it and want us to do more.
Here's how it works. We each sent each other a mystery envelope with paper goods in it, the starting of a project. Die cuts, paper, embellishments, for example.
With this Mystery Swap we are both going to make cards with the things we sent each other and with the things we received! So, that is a total of four projects in two YouTube videos.
In the video you will see the unveiling of what Jen sent me. I will then make a card with those items. Then I will show you what I sent Jen and make a card with those same items. After you watch my video you then click over and watch Jen make her two cards with the same things. Sounds like fun to me!
Since you are on my blog you get to see the finished cards and then watch the video.
Here is the card I made using items that Jen sent to me.
I items I used on this card that Jen sent me are the white Fram, the die cut cupcake pieces, the silver paper for the hearts and die the die cut "smile". I decided to take this frame and make a shaker card. If you look close you can see that it is two shakers in one. The center section has heart sprinkles in it and the outer rectangle has glitter in it. It's a party in a card!
I had so much fun creating the watercolor background for this card. You can see the making of it in the video below. I used my Arteza watercolors and then splattered over the top of that with Silks. I could just make backgrounds all day, love it!
Now for the card I made used my Mystery items, the things I sent to Jen.
I do think it is so funny that Jen and I both sent each other items that relate to food. This die cut popsicle is one that I designed in my Silhouette Studio and die cut with the Silhouette Cameo. I put that on top of a shaker card. If one shaker card is good, a second one is even better! I did make the background on this card as well, on my Gel Press and it is another of the things that I sent to Jen.
My favorite thing that I sent to Jen are Rainbow Drops, the gems on this card. They are rhinestones that are semi translucent. Which means they pick up the color behind them. This excites me because I don't have to worry about them matching a certain color exactly. The red, for instance can look pink on a pink background, and red on a darker background. AND, there are over 700 gems in one container of Rainbow Drops.
Now it is time to take a look at the making of these cards. Below is my video, and a link to Jen's channel so you can also check out her video and see what she made. I have not seen what she made yet, I will watch as you do when the video goes up. I love a surprise!!!
We would love to know if you would like to see more of these swap videos! Leave a comment below and let me know, should we do more Mystery Swaps?
Below I have a supply list of things I used to make these cards. Affiliate links have been used, but do not cost you anything when you click and shop them.
