I am so excited to share with you a new Spellbinders die set, Sunday Drive. This cute die set creates a convertible car. With all the accessory dies that come with the set you can make cute birthday cards. There is also a coordinating die set you can purchase separately that allows you to create wedding cards with the Sunday Drive set. So, I made a birthday card and wedding card for you today.
Look how cute these little cars are!
Be sure to watch the video for these cards where I show you the die set in detail, what is what and where it goes.
Here is a closer look at both of the cards I made.
I knew right away I wanted to make a yellow card with this set. And I love how it turned out!
And do you see how the trunk opens up! I put some presents in there! I found this die set pretty easy to figure out just by looking at the picture that comes with the die set. I found liquid glue to be the best for adhering these small pieces. It gave me time to situate them where I wanted them. The card itself is pretty simple. I did a little bit of ink blending on the background as well as some splattering to add some shimmer. For the road, I stamped and embossed a sentiment to fill up that empty space. And I found that "Celebrate" worked great for the birthday card and the wedding card.
Now let's take a look at the "Hitched" card.
I love all the added elements in the Hitched die set; the Hitched trunk sentiment, the floral pieces and the cans! Our neighbors are getting married in two days and now I have a super cute card to give them. They are making it simple as we are still in quarantine and having it in the back yard. Bless them and everyone who's had to make changes in their lives to accommodate the current circumstances!
To fill in the tail lights on both cards I used Nuvo Glitter Accents in Winter Cranberry. It's a great red tail light look! The hearts at the top of the card were hand drawn with these same Nuvo Glitter Accents. The flower accents really complete the look on this card, I love little details like this that make a card special. I can't wait to give it to my neighbor, she deserves all the happiness!
All the supplies I used to make these cards are listed and linked for your below.
