Hey there crafty friends! I am excited to be guest designing for the Dare 2B Artzy channel today!
I am sharing with you a stamp set I picked from their shop, one I thought was versatile and fun. It is the Wishing Happiness stamp set.
I love the Zentangle feel of this stamp set. I have tried my hand at this kind of art form and decided I would stick to stamping my images. So, I was excited to play with this stamp set.
For today's projects I thought it would be fun to do something other than color the images in. So, I pulled out my watercolors.
For the first card I did some watercolor resist.
I started by embossing the stamped images with clear powder on watercolor paper. Then I used my Arteza watercolors to apply a watercolor wash over the stamped images. I love the soft look of a watercolor wash.
I also love the look of splatter, which you may have already known, so I added splatters with Gold and Bubble Gum silk to the card.
I added a gold embossed sentiment from the Wishing Happiness stamp set. And to finish off this card, some gold sequins. I did not want to leave the inside blank, so I stamped on of the flowers in Picked Raspberry ink on the inside, you can see this in the video below.
Card two, also has a watercolor wash and embossing. This time I did the watercolor wash first and then gold embossed the images over the top.
To add to this scene, I stamped the solid image from the Wishing Happiness stamp set in Distress Oxide inks, as they stamp so nicely over a colored background. I used; Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, and Mustard Seed.
I added the same Gold and Bubble Gum silk for the splatters on this card.
The sentiment was stamped with Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide ink and embossed with clear powder.
A sprinkling of Gold sequins finished off this card.
Such a fun stamp set to play with and so many possibilities with it besides coloring in these images.
