I am so in love with entire Christmas release over at Spellbinders. They have some AMAMZING new things in dies and glimmer hot foil plates! Today I am sharing one of my absolute faves! The Snowflake Sparkle Background Glimmer Hot Foil plate. This plate hot foils an entire A2 sized card front of SNOWFLAKES, leaving an opening in the center for you to add something cute. So many possibilities with this plate.
I wanted to make old fashioned, traditional cards right way, so that is what I am bringing you today.
Isn't that snowflake backgrounds so beautiful, I wish you could hold these cards in your hand and turn them in the light to see all the shine of the foil!
On both of today's cards I also used the Christmas Essential Glimmer Circles on the inside of the circle opening left by the Snowflake background plate. I love the plate with the cross stitch x's.
The Red and Green foils I used here are both from the Shimmering Holiday Variety Pack, the 4 foils in this pack all have a special effect. Check them out right here. Like a pattern in the foil that creates a variance.
Isn't this background the perfect spot for a die cut element. I used the Die D-Lite Reindeer set to make this guy.
For my next card I pulled out my Tux die set for a cute Penguin to be focus of this card.
I LOVE the snowflake background foiled in black on white!!!
The sentiments on these cards are from the Holiday Sentiments Series 2 Glimmer Plate Set. I love layering up all the foiling in different configurations.
I know I will be using this snowflake glimmer plate again and again. It made fast work of these cards and they turned out beautiful! I'd love to know which is your favorite of these cards.
Below are all the supplies I used to make these cards, linked so you can easily check them out if you are interested.
