Right after making my first easel with this set I knew I wanted to make some Christmas ornaments with it.
I stared out by making two easels, one in gray the other in Kraft card stock.
I went through all my Christmas stamp sets and pulled out some I thought would make a fun watercolor looking art piece on this mini canvas.
I die cut the two canvas pieces from watercolor paper. Then I taped one to my glass mat and spritzed it lightly with water. Then I inked up the largest Poinsettia from the Poinsettia Bust stamp set with Rouge and then just the edges with Velvet ink. Before stamping that down I spritzed it lightly with water.
I repeated this with the smaller poinsettia and some greenery. Then I watercolored around the images with Aqualicious ink.
To finish off the canvas I splattered on some Gold Silk while it was still a bit wet. I set that aside to dry and worked on the second canvas. Once dry I stamped
"Joy to the World" in Jet Black ink from the Holiday Joy stamp set.
For this canvas I first painted the damp watercolor paper with Aqualicious ink. Then I inked up with wise men image with Almond Butter ink and stamped it on the wet paper. The tree image was inked up with Milk Chocolate ink. Next I added the sentiment with Teal Cave ink, so I knew where would be the best space to add the star. Which I stamped in Hazelnut Ink.
I finished off this canvas with a splattering of Gold Silk as well.
After the watercoloring was dry I folded in all the edges to give them that authentic boxy canvas look.
Then I heated up my Glimmer Hot Foil machine and gave each of these an additional sentiment that was hot foiled for the addition of shine to bring out the shine of the gold accent piece on the easel. The glimmer hot foil sets I used are linked for you below.
I glued the canvases to the easel, so they would be permanently attached. I added some gift twine transforming this easel into an ornament. The gift twine is white with a gold thread running through it. Perfect for both of my ornaments.
I think these will be so much fun to give to my crafty friends.
Now it is time to hop along and see what the other designers have created with Spellbinder Club Kits. I know you will find lots of different ideas as there are so many Club Kits that Spellbinders offers. Enjoy and comment along the way for a chance to win at $25 shopping spree to the Spellbinders shop.

I especially like how you 'painted' a large image, the floral, on a small canvas; something done on "real" canvas by some artists! Great layouts.
