Hey there my stamping friends! I am so excited today to be sharing my first Halloween creation for this year! I love the fun color combinations and fun images there are to play with this time of year! And for some reason I love spider webs and spider images. BUT NOT THE REAL THING!!! So, I was thrilled to be creating with the Spider Web corner die set that Spellbinders just released! It's a two piece die set with a great price point! And I can mix it with all my other Halloween products, love that!
I decided to make a shaker card with this frame set and a coordinating tag that is a shaker too. Take a look at these awesome die set! You can also see these projects being made in this video.
This die set links together to make the coolest frame!
I adhered my die cut frame and connecter pieces to a sheet of vellum with an oval die cut from the center to make the frame for the front of this shaker card.
To make my pumpkin glow I inked it up with a rich yellow, Summer Day ink and then inked only the edges with a Rock and Roll technique, with Tangerine Fusion ink. This pumpkin is from the Hey Boo stamp set. Had to have this set because of the cute cat and spider in it, so, I will be using this set again soon!
Behind my shaker is an ink blended and splattered background. It's perfect for my halloween shaker elements. Which are seasonal confetti I found at the Dollar Tree. But to make it even more special I added some Silver Shavings Glass Glitter to the mix!!!
Now let's take a look at the tag.
I used just the connector piece to make little halloween wrapped candies.
The shaker tag was made using the Special Day Tag die set. I use this die set a lot. It has a lot of great dies, I love this tag because I can make a frame and create a shaker tag.
On both of these shakers I hot foiled a sentiment because I got the new Spooky Greetings set for just this thing, adding glimmer hot foil sentiments to my Halloween projects!
So, what do you think of using this piece to make candies???
