Welcome back! Today I am sharing my third card in my Let's Go Nuts Stamp Set of the Month series.
This week the squirrels are preparing for a birthday party! They are decorating a big acorn cake for the occasion.
I used the Acorn House die set to make an acorn cake. And I think it looks yummy.
I added the dollop of whip cream from the Stitched Cupcake die set, as well as the candle to give it more a dessert feel.
to give the body of the acorn layers I die cut some strips using the Simple Waves die set and glued them on to a die cut acorn and then trimmed off the sides. I then pressed the acorn into a clear embossing pad and embossed with the clear embossing powder mixed with glitter.
The sprinkles are the thing that inspired the color combination for this card. They are the Neapolitan Clay Sprinkles from Trinity Stamps. I used them inside my shaker and on the top of my acorn cake. I just love them.
I added a little bit of cute to the inside of the card too.
The birthday hat and present are from the Really High Five stamp set, which is another Lawn Fawn stamp set that was previously a stamp set of the month set. You can see all my Stamp set of the Month videos right here. Also in this picture you can see my envelope peeking out from behind the card. I made that using the Slimline Envelope Builder Die set by Trinity Stamps. I LOVE IT so much!
