Hey there. I am back with another Not 2 Shabby video. Today I have made 2 cards with two new stamp sets that are new and exclusive to the Not 2 Shabby Shop. These are stamp sets are both free gifts with purchase.
When you spend $60 at the Not 2 Shabby Shop you will get the Winter Sentiments for FREE and when that order reaches $100 you will ALSO get the Winter Friends stamp set for free. It's a great deal for some darling stamp sets. You can also purchase these stamp set for a great price. See the Winter Sentiments stamp set HERE and the Winter Friends stamp set HERE.
You can watch me make two cards with this set in this video:
If you can not see the video on this screen you can also watch it right here.
Here is the first card I mad with these stamp sets. An A2 card.
I created the background by taking all the little snow/snowflake images from both stamp sets and putting them on one acrylic stamping block. I stamped a piece of Whip Cream card stock with clear pigment ink. Then I applied my two different colors of PanPastels over the top of this. The PanPastels stick to the stamped images, creating a more concentrated, darker image than the area around it. I just LOVE this look. Then I splattered this with Liquid Stardust for some great shimmer. Then to make sure my PanPastels never smears I sprayed a Matte Fixative Spray over the background.
Over the top of this added the Lift the Flap Tree backdrop die from Lawn Fawn, die cut from Tin Pail Cardstock, a very light gray.
I added snowy border along the bottom of die cut from Pixie Dust card stock, for a glittery hill that my critters could stand on.
For my stamped images I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whip Cream card stock. Then I put the stamped images onto my PixScan mat for my Cameo Silhouette. I took a picture of the mat with my phone, sent that pictures to my computer. I then opened that pictures in my Silhouette design studio program. I trace the images and then off set my tracing with a spacing of .040. This allows me to have die cut looking images. Once I have these images traced. I can then cut out these shapes to use the next time I want to stamp with this stamp set. In the video for these cards you can see how I used those blank die cuts and my MISTI stamp positioning tool to stamp on the die cuts with precision.
I colored in all my images with Copic Markers and popped them on with foam squares.
After making my first card I was inspired to make another. I just love these critters so much! I wanted to have more of that snowy sky showing and I also thought it would be cute to have the Lift the Flap Trees die cut from a lavender card stock. So, a slimline card was born.
I added a few more images to this card from other Not 2 Shabby stamp sets. The little squirrel is from the You, Me and Pumpkin Spice stamp set and the mushrooms are from the Fall Gnomes stamp set. I thought they really added to this cute scene.
