Hello there and welcome to the November Kit of the Month Blog Hop with Spellbinders.
For today's hop I am showcasing the November Large Die of the Month kit, Merry Stitching. I just found out that this kit has SOLD OUT. So if you are one of the lucky ones that was able to get this kit I have another idea with it for you. If you were not able to get it you can still make the ornament I am showing today and put another decorative element on the top.
You can watch these ornaments being made in the video below.
If you can not see the video on this screen you can also see it right here.
These ornaments are one of my favorite things to make at the holidays. I have made them several times. They are easy to do but so beautiful. And you can decorate them with any fun embellishments you have.
To make these woven snowflake ornaments you need a 6" x 6" piece of patterned paper. You cut that into 1/2" strips. The assembly is easier to learn by watching, which is why I made the video. You can follow along with the video and make your own Woven Snowflake Ornament!
When I first played with the Merry Stitching die set I knew I wanted to make one to put on this Woven Paper Snowflake. They are a perfect match. I find all the dies in this set to be easy to stitch. But I love that you can use them with out stitching on them too. For this snowflake I used white thread on a die cut red snowflake. Then I went back with a bit of black thread and accented the center. Then I finished it off with some black gems.
Here is the second ornament I made. This time I alternated colors for a red and black stitched snowflake.
I added a Glimmer Hot Foil sentiment in the center from Yana's Christmas Sentiments with Black Foil on red card stock. I think it looks great layered on the stitching. For even more shine I added some small red gems too.
These ornaments are going to make some great gifts. I think with a home made treat for a neighbor. Or on top of a secret gift exchange gift. It would also look great as part of a wreath.
If you are really wanting to get the Large Die of the Month for November, you may still be able to get it in one of the Value Kit options. I will link all of them for you below.
Now it is time to hop along. Remember you want to be sure to stop by the Spellbinders blog and comment there as well to be entered into the giveaway! There are 5, $50 shopping sprees being given away! The giveaway closes on the 15th and winners will be announced on the SB blog on the following Tuesday.

Thank you for the video on the snowflake ornament. Much easier than I thought. Very pretty design. Great use of the die. I love black and red for Christmas. And I really think the ornament with alternating color threads is stunning. Thank you for the share. I'm going to try my hand at an ornament also.

Beautiful ornaments. I'm sad to learn the die is sold out already as I had been hoping to buy it for what I expected to be a black friday/cyber monday sale. Perhaps due to its popularity they'll release it or similar in the future. After seeing these I'm sure even more people will want it.
