Hello there, Today I am sharing the Glimmer Hot Foil kit of the month by Spellbinders. With this kit I am going to show you how to do some Layered Hot Foiling!
This new Glimmer Hot Foil plate set has interchangeable pieces to create different looks. In this video I will show you all the combinations.
You can see the plate set in action in the video below.
If you can not see the video on this screen you can also watch it here:
For the layering I glimmer hot foiled two different backgrounds, Dotted Background and Polka Dot using Opal Foil. These are my favorite plates and my favorite color of foil!
Then I used a darker or contrasting foil to foil over the top for a layered look.
For the first set of cards I use white card stock and a for my second layer of foiling I used Polished Brass foil. I love the elegant look!
For the tops of these ovals there are two choices; Happy Birthday and A Big Thank You. These can be interchanged with 3 different foliages pieces that complete the oval. I mounted my backgrounds on to precut card bases from Spellbinders. These are new and make card making so fast and easy. So I made 4 more cards.
Here are the second set of cards in this pretty pool color with the Opal foil in the background and Teal foil for the top layer.
I love the Magenta foil over this light pink card stock. I am planning on putting all of these note cards together as a gift. It's a great Christmas gift that I will be using as one of our family Christmas game night prizes.
Below I have listed and linked all the things I used to make these cards.
Also did you know that when you join the Glimmer Hot Foil kit of the month, you get 10% off a Glimmer Hot Foil system when you purchase it at the time you subscribe. Such a cool deal!
