Happy Saturday! I love Saturday because that means I get to share another creation with Trinity Stamps products.
This week I am finally creating a project that has been in my head for a while. I am making plaid backgrounds using the Slimline Stitched Strips Die Set.
And I am pairing these backgrounds with two of the new Gnomes from the Sending Smooches release; the There's Gnome One Like You set and the Sending Smooches Set.
You can see these cards being made in this video.
If you can not see the video on this screen, you can also view it right here.
Now let's get a closer look at these cards. First up is the pink card using the There's Gnome One Like You set.
To make the plaid background I used three shades of pink card stock. I used the Hip to Be Square die as my base and then layered on stitched strips in the open squares going vertically. Then I added some horizontal strips die cut from a light pink card stock in different size strips.
Then I just added the cute gnome colored in pink and gray. As well as one of the sentiments from that stamp set.
Some Sweet Strawberry Clay Heart Sprinkles finished off the card. BTW, the Trinity Shop is now stocked up on amazing embellishments that you are going to love!
My second card has more subtle plaid behind the Slimline Tall Heart Trio Die.
I love the plaid peeking out in the heart windows of this card. I used the two smallest stitched strips from the Stitched Strips die set for this card.
And the Sending Smooches gnome is SO darn cute, I love him on this card.
Beside the plaid, my other favorite thing on this cards is the glitter covering the card front. I use Stickles Moon Dust Glitter Gel.
The glitter in this gel is different sizes and so shiny. And the gel dries clear, it's gorgeous.
I loved making my own plaid background with the Stitched Strips die set. I am ready to go make more and play with different color combinations and different strip sizes. Also, being that this die set is slimline, you can make plaid with them on any size card!
Below I have listed and linked all the supplies I used to make this card.
