Hello again my stamping friends. I am back with some more crafty goodness with Trinity Stamps! There are so many amazing things in their new release I can not wait to share with you! Today I am playing with a new stencil set, Lemons and Leaves to make some thank you cards. It was time to build up my stash. The thank you part of this card comes from a new product link that Trinity is now carrying, Cut and Foil sets! You probably already know that I am a hot foil fan, so I was very excited that Trinity was bringing out their own line of hot foiling plates. I will also be using a few other new things to finish off this card.
Did you catch my FAVORITE card stock for Hot Foiling in that video??? I recently decided to try my Heffy Doodle White Card Stock. AND I WAS AMAZED! It is the smoothest card stock I have ever felt, like it is soft! It is also a thick cardstock. Which are two things that you should look for when picking paper for hot foiling. These paper qualities are especially important when hot foiling a more solid plate, like the Thanks I used on these cards.
Let's take a close up look at how it foiled.
Shiny and beautiful! And the pop of shine in black is such a stunning contrast to the more natural feel of the stenciled background.
This card is an A7 sized card; 5" x 7". I die cut my stenciled panel out using a new stackable die set for making A7 cards. This die set adds and etched border around every rectangle is cuts out, I LOVE IT!
To give my lemons and leave a bit of dimension I used more than one shade of ink to stencil them. I started with a bright yellow on my lemon stencil and then added a darker yellow, more golden to just one side of the lemon and only inking up about 1/3 of each lemon. Then I added a very golden yellow to just the very edge of the lemon, layering that on top of the previous yellow. I did the same with the leaves and used just two shakes of green. I love the bit of depth this adds.
Now take a look at the mini slimline cards I made using just the leaves and branches stencil from the set.
So simple and yet so pretty at the same time.
One of special things I love about these cards is the stitched edge, created with the new Mini Slimline Stitched Edge stackable dies. Even the white embossed sentiments were die cut using a die from this set. Those supporting sentiments are from a new stamp set, called... Supporting Script Sentiments! It's pretty cool, and I have already been using it sooo much.
I think my stash of thank you notes has grown very nicely after this. What do you think of this new Lemon and Leaves stencil set. What would you make with it?

When I look at this image of a bear sitting down I think what else can I have this bear sit on and for some reason a super tall cake is what came to me and I thought it would make for a fun birthday card for the Trinity celebration!
I made the cake using a new stencil, Cake and Candles. With this stencil you can make a cake as big as you like. So I had to make a cake that was rainbow, because that is the best color. When in doubt, rainbow it out! After stenciling my cake I wanted it to look more like my stamped images, so I outlined it with a fine liner pen. If I can do this my stamping friends, you can do. Letting go of perfection and just having fun is so rewarding! I then cut my cake out and popped it up on my background. I now had a place for my bear to sit and be happy.
I colored up this little bear and a couple other images from the stamp set for the top of the cake with Copic Markers. I wanted to make a black bear this time, it seemed to fit the color combination I was using the best. I used Warm Grays; W10, W8, W6, W4 and W2. And a touch of R20 for the cheeks.
To make this cake special I added a bunch of Rhinestones, that a new to the shop as well, in a rainbow assortment. I have them all linked for you below, they are a thing of beauty!!!
If you want to see more of the new things I used on this card be sure to watch the video. I do have the entire new release linked for you below.

Hello there my stamping friends. Lately I have been trying to build up my birthday card stash. It seemed I was getting low and just need more variety. I also have family members who like to come and shop my stash, so having plenty with variety is good.
When creating this birthday card I wanted to give it an element of surprise. The Popping By stamp set from Heffy Doodle is a fun set to do interactive elements with. I thought I was going to use a slider to have the fox pop up out of the cake, but the dimensions were not right. So I decided to use the balloons from the same stamp set and have it appear to be lifting my sentiment up with the use of a slider.
I started this card with the Balloon Room stencil and some Distress Oxide Sprays; Seedless Preserves, Worn Lipstick, and Salty Ocean. I love the soft feel of the overlapping balloons which makes them appear to be more in the distance.
To make my sentiment appear to float up I used the Straight Slider Die set. So when you tilt the card, the sentiment looks like the balloons are floating away with it.
Look how darling that fox is popping up out of the cake with a bit of icing on his head!
Take a closer look at the die cut Happy Birthday sentiment, I die cut it from a piece of card stock that I used to pick up the excess spray from off of the stencil that I used to make the balloon background. It was a very crazy looking piece of card stock with bits of the spray everywhere, but it make a great piece to die cut this sentiment from.
I was happy with the little element of surprise on the outside of this card, a slider is easy and so much fun. But I wanted a little something on the inside of the card too. So I added some more stamped images to dress that up.
I love it when a bit of the scene spills over to the inside of the card.
And now I have another great card for my birthday card stash. I would love to know, do you have a birthday card stash? Or maybe a thank you card stash?
Below are all the supplies I used to make today's card.

Hello there my stamping friends. I am super excited that today I get to share with you two new stamp sets that about about to come out in the upcoming Trini-Tea 3rd Birthday Release! It's a SNEAK PEEK!
The two stamp sets I am sharing are called Best-Tea Party and Pretty Party Decor. I am going to use them together on one card to make a light up scene. The light up part of the card might seem technical, but it is EZ with the EZ-Lights from Pear Blossom Press!
Watch this card come together and get a peek of what is to come at Trinity Stamps!
If you can not see the video up on this screen, you can also view it HERE, on my YouTube channel.
Let's see what this card looks like all lit up!
I just love the paper lanterns lighting up the forest for this tea party. It really makes the scene.
And what do you think of those bears??? They are just darling I think. What sweet faces. I also love the tree trunk image for a table!!!
All of the die cut pieces that make up for forest are from the Great Outdoors Slimline die set, a must have for scene building if you do a lot of outdoor scenes like I do.
All of the supplies I used to make this card are listed for you below, except the two new stamp sets that are yet to be release by Trinity Stamps on June 25th!

Yay! It's time again for one of my favorite things, the seasonal hop with the Lawn Fawn Fans team! This is the Summer Lawn Fawn Fans YouTube hop.
Each designer in the hop is making projects either with a summer theme or using products from the last release from Lawn Fawn.
For my projects I am using the Happy Hugs stamp set and making two shaker cards. One is a mini shaker on a square card and the other is a shaker on a slimline card the uses left overs from the first, a two for one deal!
You can start the hop right here with my video, make sure to click over to watch it on YouTube, so that you can comment and be entered into our GIVEAWAY!
The next stop on the hop is Lauren Taylor, you can watch her video here and see the super cool card she made using the Sending Big Hugs die.
Be sure to leave a comment on each video in the hop for a chance to win a $25 shopping spree to the Lawn Fawn shop. And a great big THANK YOU to Lawn Fawn for being the sponsor of this hop! A winner will be selected at random and announced on the community tab of my YouTube page on June 25th.
Now let's take a look at both of the cards I made for this hop.
This cute little squirrel is remember how nice it is to hug and hang out with friends.
I used the new Magic Iris Thought Bubble add on for my shaker. And I just had to use the new Plaid Stencil set for my background, that was so much fun to make!
On the inside of this card I added the Sending Big Hugs die cut, for a fun surprise.
Then I used the piece I die cut this from the make the second shaker card.
I added plaid behind this shaker and I just love that look.
I also added a custom sentiment to this card, that I just wrote inside this thought bubble, "A hug would be mice". I love a good pun!
Make sure to hop along with us and leave comments on the videos as you do, so you can be entered to win the $25 shopping spree from Lawn Fawn.
Below I have listed and linked all the things I used to make these cards.

Today I am celebrating the Sizzling Days of Summer with Scrapbook.com.
I have several of Scrapbook. com exclusive products to share with you in the two cards I made in the video below. The 7 Sizzling Days of Summer has some amazing deals and a FREEBIE each day of the event!
I made some bright summery cards for you today with some products that I fell in love with.
If you can not see the video up on the screen, you can also view it here.
Now let's take a close up look at the cards I made.
First up is the sunshiny bright hello card.
I love the bold and crisp feel of this card.
I started out by ink blending a panel with Pink, Turquoise and Yellow ink and the new domed ink blending tools. The domed sponges are amazing and seem to glide across the paper effortlessly and made for a very nice blended rainbow.
Next I added a die cut cover piece using the Slim Sunshine die and the bright yellow card stock from the Brights Smooth Cardstock pad (which, side note, is a SLIMLINE paper pad, so there is less cutting for this slimline card addicted girl!) It looks stunning over the ink blended rainbow.
For the sentiment I used a few die sets and one sentiment stamp set, all on different sheets of cardstock from the Brights collection.
Let's start at the top, I die cut the word Hello using the Classic Type Alphabet dies, this die set comes with upper and lower case letters and I used both, cause I could!
The word "love" is from a scripty die set called; Inspire. I love pairing typed font with scripty type.
Lastly I added a sentiment from a Wordfetti stamp set; Best Day Ever, embossing it with white powder onto this fuchsia cardstock.
The boldness of this card reminds me of an advertisement for sunscreen,I think it is great to get inspiration from all kinds of places.
Next up, I have a slimline card with more rainbow ink blending, but this time, with the Wave Stencil.
You should watch the video and see how I got the watery look on the swirls of this card. This stencil just screams summer, I love it.
Did you happen to notice the rounded corners on the slimline panels of this card? This is one of my favorite die sets from Scrapbook.com, the Slim Nested Rounded Rectangles! There are 8 pieces in this set and I just want to layer them all up!
Again, I paired the Classic Type alphabet die set with the Best Day Ever stamp set for my sentiment. It reads, You Are (U R) something to smile about. The Best Day Ever stamp set is a great one for scrapbooking, but I found it was also fun for card making.
I have made a few other cards for the Sizzling Days of Summer that I will be sharing over on my Instagram, you can follow me here if you don't already.
Making these cards was like a little kick off to summer and the hot weather that has rolled in here in Idaho. I think tonight is a good night for a dip in the pool!

Happy Saturday stamping friends! Today I am sharing a fun and easy technique using stencils and ink to create a faux tie dye look.
The trick to this technique is the stencil set I am using. It is the Superstar stencil set from Trinity Stamps. This stencil set has a circular pattern of stars. The circular pattern really replicates the feel of tie dye very well. There is a bit of technique to this, but it is easy to replicate. I will be using Distress Oxide Ink and Distress Oxide Sprays for this technique and found that the sprays work the best. In the video below I will show you how you can easily create faux tie dye backgrounds with the Superstar stencil set and Distress Oxide Sprays.
Here are the cards I made with my Faux Tie Dye backgrounds.
When you use Distress Oxide ink to spray your stencil you end up with a lot of ink on the top of the stencil that could be wasted, or picked up with another piece of paper. That is what I did for these backgrounds. This background uses Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Spray. I did have to play around with how many sprays gave me the look I wanted. I found that having more white space looked more tie dye than if I had more blue space. It is the dots of white in there that make this look so much like tie dye and the circular pattern of this stencil set.
Let's take a look at a couple more cards with this technique.
I thought these backgrounds made for fun baby cards. I like to let the background be the star of the show and keep the focal image small. The pattern really draws your eye into the center.
I hope you will give this technique a try, you can use many different mediums with this technique, so try the pads and sprays that you have on hand and see what cool looks you can make. Play with different stencils too. You might just end up making some thing crazy cool and have fun getting inky while you're at it.

YEP, hair gel is not just for spiking your hair do! It's great for underwater cards! And today I am going to show you three ways to add Hair Gel to your cards for a fun underwater look!
This is one of those techniques that you have to SEE being done. Check out my video below.
When you shop at the Not 2 Shabby shop be sure to use code N2S10 at check out for 10% off your order!
Now let's take a look at Hair Gel card No.1!
For this first card I added clear hair gel to a cellophane bag and put it behind a window in my card. the seahorses are behind the gel. This makes a squishy, bubbly window that the recipient can push on. It gives the card a very realistic under water feel.
For the second card I used hair gel with a few drops of ink.
This is fun because you can let the recipient mix the color around in the gel. You can even put two colors of ink in and them them mix the colors together. The ink does not immediately color all of the gel, it takes mixing to do so.
The third way I used Hair Gel in my card was to add glitter to the gel. This one ended up being my FAVE!
So much fun to push around the glittery gel. A little bit goes a long way with the glitter, a pinch will do or up to 1/8 of a teaspoon if you have a bigger window like I do on this card.
And there are all three of my Hair Gel cards. They really are so much fun to make. I do not recommend mailing these for fear they might get punctured and the USPS does not like mysterious liquids seeping out the mail. These are great to be hand delivered or inside a box. Be sure to watch the video to see how I put these cards together.

Hello there my stamping friends! Have you tried Glimmer Hot Foiling yet? Maybe you are new to it and are a little intimidated by it. Or maybe you have your Glimmer Hot Foil system and have tried it but have not gotten results that you love. Today I am going to help you with a few tips and tricks!
These tips and tricks are best seen in the video above, if you can not see the video on this screen, you can also view it on my YouTube channel.
As with many Glimmer Kits, this set comes with hot foil plates as well as dies to cut out the images.
This has one large plate that is about 4-3/4" long and 1-3/4" wide and says Happy Birthday. There are also 6 sub sentiments that are funny and a bit snarky. There is a die to cut out the Happy Birthday and one strip die to die cut out all the sub sentiments.
Let's take a look at the cards I made with this set.
Here are the tips I cover in the video:
1.Use the Quick Trimmer to cut your foil to the right size to avoid missing part of your plate not having foil on it. And you'll also have less foil waste.
2. When removing the dock use your thumbs and pull it straight back towards you so that you don't giggle the plate and cause blurry foiling.
3. Steady the roll of the platform through your die cut machine, going slowly with one hand on top of the plates. When you go too fast it will get bumpy and it can cause the plate to jump and there could be double foiling.
4. When your image does not foil well, parts of it are missing foil here are my trick to try:
-use a shim in-between your plates when rolling it through the die machine
-run the plate through the die cutting machine and then back towards you, again going very slowly
-a smooth white paper foils best, colored card stock can have more texture to it
- run your plate through on an angle instead of completely vertical when you can
5. If a small portion of your image does not foil well, let it go. Some missing foiling can be overlooked, it doesn't always have to be perfect.
If you look closely at my foiling there are a few that have missing or incomplete foiling on the Happy Birthday. I made sure to use them on my cards to show you that it is okay if it is not 100% perfect. There are going to be times when you may have to throw a foiled piece away, but there are times when that piece is okay and good to use. Just have fun with your Hot Foil machine.
You may have also noticed by looking through these pictures that the smaller sub sentiments foiled perfectly even on colored card stock. Smaller plates have a smaller surface area and foil easily. Large plates with more surface or solid area are trickier, and that's when you will need today'd tips and tricks.
ALSO, get to know your machine. What works for my machine may not be necessary for yours. You may not need a shim, you may need two. Experiment and the more you use it the more you will learn and you will get it down.
If you have any questions about Glimmer Hot Foiling please leave me a comment below. I have been doing it since the machine came out and so I might have some insight for you.
Thank you so much for stopping by. All the supplies I used as well as all the club kits for Spellbinders are listed and linked for you below.

This is the Colorblocking Circles and Stripes die set. This set contains 10 dies.
The largest die in this set cuts 3 strips of paper that are 8-1/2" long and vary in width. There is a curved die that is mean to be layered with a second die cut to create three circle openings in a row. The circle sentiments fit in this openings. There are 3 circle dies that you can use around the sentiments or to create a solid layer for behind the sentiment. You can also use these to build the layering circles or half circles on, which are the other two dies you see below the sentiment dies. You can see these dies and how they work in my video below.
Now let's take a look at the two slimline cards I made using this die set.
As you can see I had some fun using the stripes die. As you may have guessed if you have visited my blog before, I love slimline cards, so having this die to do different techniques is very cool.
For my first card I did a diagonal rainbow pattern.
I picked card stocks from my stash with more of a pastel or muted feel to them. I really wanted to use the Clear Stamp of the Month set, Circles of Sunshine. It reminds me of graphic t-shirts you might buy while on vacation at a National Park. I have seen them with a rainbow background, so that is the inspiration behind today's cards.
I also used the curved die, you can see what it looks like here overlapped with a second die cut. It's a pretty neat die and can be used repeatedly to make a great background on a card.
I use that die repeatedly on my second card.
I added one to the center of this card where I added my stamps circles and one die cut sentiment circle. Then I added a partial piece to each end to extend the circles down the length of this slimline card.
I also used the stripes die on this card to make a plaid and woven background. You'll have to watch the video to see how I did this. It was easier than I thought.
Thank you for letting me share these dies and cards with you today. If you are interested in any of the supplies I used, you can find them linked for you below.

It's summer time and that means swimming, BBQ's, staying up late and watching America's favorite talent show on TV. It's a great family show that my daughter loves to watch with us. I thought the Center Stage die set, by Trinity Stamps would make a great card inspired by this show. I also wanted to make this card a shaker, so the shaker elements could represent the pressing of the GOLDEN BUZZER! Even if you are not into this show, this card is a fun shaker.
Watch the making of this card right here.
And now let's take a closer look at the card.
I designed the card so that all the shaker elements can be hidden.
BUT THEN..... Someone presses the Golden Buzzer! Which on the show means you are amazing and get to jump to the live shows and don't have to audition again, it's a big deal!
The talent on this card is from the Le Cirque stamp set. It is a fun circus themed set, which also has a flying trapeze girl!
I especially love that there are dies in this set for the audience, or in my case the judges. And I was able to customize them to look like the actual judges.
The finishing touch on this card is the sentiment. The stamped part is from the A Sentiment for Almost Everything stamp set. I masked off the word THIS so I had only YOU'VE GOT. Then I added the word TALENT using the Graham Cracker Alphabet.
Thank you so much for stopping by and letting me share my creation with you. I will see you all again soon with another crafty creation!

Today I am playing with one of my favorite stamp sets, Oopsy Daisy by Scrappy Tails. I have been wanting to use it to stamp some card backgrounds and I thought you'd find these ideas helpful for card making as well.
I will be showing you 3 ways to stamp a background for building a card on.
You can see each background being made and the cards I made with these backgrounds in the video below.
Now let's take a look at each card and the stamping technique I used.
For the first card I did traditional stamping with black ink on white paper. Because this stamp set is easy to color, as the daisies can be colored white, I colored in my background with Copic Markers. One thing that I feel really makes this kind of background pop is to do some outlining. I used BG11 to outline each of the flowers. This made them stand out and made the background feel a bit more like patterned paper.
For background number two I did some heat embossing.
I started with a piece of Cool Pool card stock (this color of card stock is no longer available at Spellbinders, but I will link a new similar color they just started carrying). Then I stamped all of the florals with Versamark ink, a clear sticky pigment ink. I poured white embossing powder over this. After tapping off the excess and pouring it back into the container, I heat set the powder, melting it till it was raised up and shiny. I love the elegance that embossing brings to any card. You can get so many different looks with this technique just by changing up your card stock color and the color of your embossing powder. Gold is one of my all time favorite embossing powders, it would look amazing on this background I am sure.
To take this background up a notch I splattered on some Cool Pool Silk for a bit of coordinating shimmer. Each card I made today I used glitter paper, vellum and stamped images also from the Oopsy Daisy stamp set to complete the card.
I have to say that yellow glitter paper is just yummy!!! Also, take a close look at my bees, I used Journey Glaze to cover each of their bodies. The glaze dries clear and gives them a fabulous raised up and shiny look.
On to card three, for this background I pulled out my PanPastels.
To get this look I stamped all my floral images with Versamark ink. Let the paper rest about 1 minute and then apply PanPastels over the paper with the soft tool that comes with it. The PanPastel will stick to the stamped image, making it slightly darker. I love this subtle look for a background!
Of course I did add a bit of Sour Lemon splatter to it for a bit of pizzazz.
What do you think of the white die cut on this card. I used the Slimline Brick cover die to create this. I just cut out the center of the die for a lattice like feel.
Take a look at all three of the card together. I love making a group of cards that coordinate and use a lot of the same product but are all different too.
I'd love to hear from you, let me know which of these cards is your favorite in the comments below. I hope you found a bit of inspiration while you were here. I will be back again soon with more crafty creations for you!
