Hello again my stamping friends. I am back with some more crafty goodness with Trinity Stamps! There are so many amazing things in their new release I can not wait to share with you! Today I am playing with a new stencil set, Lemons and Leaves to make some thank you cards. It was time to build up my stash. The thank you part of this card comes from a new product link that Trinity is now carrying, Cut and Foil sets! You probably already know that I am a hot foil fan, so I was very excited that Trinity was bringing out their own line of hot foiling plates. I will also be using a few other new things to finish off this card.
Check it all out in the video below.

Did you catch my FAVORITE card stock for Hot Foiling in that video??? I recently decided to try my Heffy Doodle White Card Stock. AND I WAS AMAZED! It is the smoothest card stock I have ever felt, like it is soft! It is also a thick cardstock. Which are two things that you should look for when picking paper for hot foiling. These paper qualities are especially important when hot foiling a more solid plate, like the Thanks I used on these cards.
Let's take a close up look at how it foiled.
Shiny and beautiful! And the pop of shine in black is such a stunning contrast to the more natural feel of the stenciled background.
This card is an A7 sized card; 5" x 7". I die cut my stenciled panel out using a new stackable die set for making A7 cards. This die set adds and etched border around every rectangle is cuts out, I LOVE IT!
To give my lemons and leave a bit of dimension I used more than one shade of ink to stencil them. I started with a bright yellow on my lemon stencil and then added a darker yellow, more golden to just one side of the lemon and only inking up about 1/3 of each lemon. Then I added a very golden yellow to just the very edge of the lemon, layering that on top of the previous yellow. I did the same with the leaves and used just two shakes of green. I love the bit of depth this adds.
Now take a look at the mini slimline cards I made using just the leaves and branches stencil from the set.
So simple and yet so pretty at the same time.
One of special things I love about these cards is the stitched edge, created with the new Mini Slimline Stitched
Edge stackable dies. Even the white embossed sentiments were die cut using a die from this set. Those supporting sentiments are from a new stamp set, called... Supporting Script Sentiments! It's pretty cool, and I have already been using it sooo much.
I think my stash of thank you notes has grown very nicely after this. What do you think of this new Lemon and Leaves stencil set. What would you make with it?
