I have to take a moment and say a very Happy 3rd Birthday to Trinity Stamps!!! I have come to love this company and being a very small part of it as a member of their design team. So, what does a stamp company do to celebrate it's birthday??? You put out a giant new release of amazing new products for your fans and fans to be to create with! And as a design team we get to showcase it all in a YouTube hop! So, without any further delay, start the video hop out with this little video I made showcasing several new products and making a slimline birthday card.
If you can not see the video up on this screen, you can also view it right HERE.
The next stop on the hop is my stamping friend, Cassie Trask, watch her video right here.
As with any birthday there are party favors!!! Trinity Stamps is giving away a $25 shopping spree to their shop! Just leave a comment on each video in the hop to be entered. You have until July 2nd to leave your comments and the winner will be announced on July 6th on the Trinity Stamps blog.
Now let's have another look at the card I made.
I just love this little bear from the Best-Tea Party stamp set, there are actually two bears in the set, you can see them both in this card I made.
When I look at this image of a bear sitting down I think what else can I have this bear sit on and for some reason a super tall cake is what came to me and I thought it would make for a fun birthday card for the Trinity celebration!
I made the cake using a new stencil, Cake and Candles. With this stencil you can make a cake as big as you like. So I had to make a cake that was rainbow, because that is the best color. When in doubt, rainbow it out! After stenciling my cake I wanted it to look more like my stamped images, so I outlined it with a fine liner pen. If I can do this my stamping friends, you can do. Letting go of perfection and just having fun is so rewarding! I then cut my cake out and popped it up on my background. I now had a place for my bear to sit and be happy.
I colored up this little bear and a couple other images from the stamp set for the top of the cake with Copic Markers. I wanted to make a black bear this time, it seemed to fit the color combination I was using the best. I used Warm Grays; W10, W8, W6, W4 and W2. And a touch of R20 for the cheeks.
To make this cake special I added a bunch of Rhinestones, that a new to the shop as well, in a rainbow assortment. I have them all linked for you below, they are a thing of beauty!!!
If you want to see more of the new things I used on this card be sure to watch the video. I do have the entire new release linked for you below.
Make sure you hop along with us over on Instagram too for another chance to win. You can find me on instagram right here.
If you missed a stop along the way in our YouTube hop here is the entire line up.
