Hello my stamping friends! For today's creations I am playing with the July 2021 Glimmer Kit of the Month from Spellbinders. This month's kit is a set of nesting plates that make a frame of dots on a rectangular card stock panel. This kit also comes with a roll of Rose Gold foil. That Rose Gold foil inspired me to create and once I started I kept adding more rose gold! So, in this video you will get all the details on the Mini Slimline Nested Glimmer Dots plate of the month set and you will see 3 ways to add Rose Gold to your projects!
If you can not see the video up on this screen, you can also view it over on my YouTube channel.
Let's take a close up look at the July Glimmer Kit of the Month.
The contents of the Mini Slimline Nesting Glimmer Dots kit are:
*7 Hot Foil Plates - Nesting Rectangles that hot foil a frame of dots
(Largest Plate = 5-7/8" x 2-7/8")
(Smallest Plate = 3-3/4" x 3/4")
*1 Roll of Foil - Rose Gold
This month's kit perfectly coordinates with the Large Die of the Month for July, the Mini Envelope and Nested Card Creator set. I used this die set as well as the Clear Stamp of the month on my projects today.
Let's take a close up look at what I made and how I added Rose Gold.
First I used the Rose Gold foil on both my card and book mark, hot foiling a dotted frame on each. I love the touch of subtle elegance this brings to a card. If you have never seen hot foiling be sure to watch the video of these projects being made.
The flowers on this card are stamped with the largest flower from this months Clear Stamp of the Month set. I added Rose Gold to these flowers with Metallic Watercolors from Altenew. The shine on these flowers when you turn the in the light is amazing!
The third touch of Rose Gold is in the sentiment. Which I embossed with Rose Gold embossing powder. It has a slightly different tint but a lovely shine and still coordinated very nicely with my card.
I had so much fun playing with this month's kits I had to keep on creating! I thought the smaller rectangles that I had die cut and hot foiled would make the perfect sized book mark to go with my card.
And to put it all in I used the Large Die of the Month to make an envelope, which is thicker, almost like and envelope box. It will fit my card that has a lot of dimension on it as well as my book mark and a gift card for sure. I am so excited to have this die for my THICK cards, I love a lot of dimension on my cards.
Below I have listed all the supplies used to make these projects as well as all the Club Kit offerings by Spellbinders.
