Glimmering Build A Banner Kit of the Month

It's time to take a look at the September Glimmer Kit of the Month from Spellbinders! 

This month's kit is a pretty banner set, with 6 sentiment plates and 2 decorative plates. You use these together to build a banner. And there are coordinating dies that allow you to cut out these hot foiled images to build the banner. This kit comes with a roll of Polished Brass foil, one of my faves! 

Now let's see this kit in action in the video below, where I show you each piece and make 2 cards with it.

Let's take a look at the first card I made with this set. 

I use the biggest sentiment in the Glimmering Build A Banner set; Wishing You A Happy Birthday. I love this 3 piece banner. The detailed pieces that are the back sides if the banner are FABULOUS!  

I used a few die sets for the background. I used the Color Block Panel die for the green panels. I gave these panels a touch of splatter with some Electric Lime Silk, cause splatter always works!  And for the balloons I used the September Large Die of the month. Check out all 34 dies in the LDOM - Just a Tweet set right here. I brought my white balloons to life with a bit of Journey Glaze and then a sprinkle of chunky glitter. 

And in the background a little bit of dry embossing with the Heart and Soul Embossing folder.  I love that bit of white peeking through, drawing your eyes into the center and that banner. 

Now let's take a look at card number two, using the Color Block Slices dies for the background with a simpler banner on top. 

You do not have to have three section to this banner, you can do one like I have here for the Thank you. And it's still gorgeous. 

And how about that rainbow background with the die cut pieces, so easy to do with the Color Block Slices die set. 

The flowers are also from the September Large Die of the Month. My favorite thing about the Glimmer Build A Banner set is adding things all around it, like I did here with the flowers.

To finish off my flowers I added some Crystal Gems in the center. The are white with an iridescent finish, so pretty. 

This banner is a great set to add to any collection, it and easily go with the things you already have and love to use.
