Hello there stamping friends. Happy March! Today I have a NEW stamp and die set to share with you from the Not 2 Shabby Shop.
When Jamie (of Not 2 Shabby) asked it I might like to share the Sweet Critters stamp set this month, as it seemed like my style I was all over it! The critters in this set are DARLING. And the die set cuts around their arms so they can hold any number of cute things that are in the stamp set. This set is for the March Stamp and Die of the Month, a subscription you can join through Not 2 Shabby. This set is a shining example of the cute stamp sets that the N2S shop puts out each month.
Let's take a look at the card I made with this cute set.
I love the story book feel of these critters and that I can tuck little things in their hands!
Here you can see this card come together.
You can also see this video over on my YouTube channel.
I was in the mood for some ink blending when I made this card. I wanted a very springy storybook look for this card. I used Spun Sugar and Wilted Violet for the sky with a dusting of Vintage Photo. For the grassy hill I used Twisted Citron and Rustic Wilderness and again added a bit of Vintage Photo. I also had some fun with splattering, since I LOVE that look.
Here you can see how the hands/arms of the critters are cut away from the body, the dies do this for you! Not crafty knife needed! This made me think that they would look cute popping up from behind the fence. This fence is the Slimline Picket Fence die, new from Lawn Fawn. I even tucked a little something into the paws of each critter.
Have you noticed the fuzzy little tuffs on top of each of the critters heads? That is Cottontail Flocking by Pink and Main. It is the perfect touch to these critters!
To embellish this card I use Shimmering Rose Nuvo drops to make little hearts. Not only did I have so much fun making this card but I just love how it turned out.
