Today I am sharing the gorgeous fun products I got from Spellbinders club kit program for the month of June.
Spellbinders has 8 kits that you can subscribe to! Each month you get a new kit of the month in the mail. And I can say, after receiving several club kits a month for over 2 years, they are always amazing! I get 4 club kits each month; Large Die of the Month, Glimmer Kit of the Month, Clear Stamp and Die of the Month, Embossing Folder of the Month. Another thing that makes me so happy about these club kits is that most months all these products coordinate together!!!!! My two card creations today are showing you how nicely these products work together.
The kits this month inspired me to create some Gate Fold cards in some large sizes. I have a 6" x 6" gate fold and a 5" x 7" gate fold card.
Below you can see these cards come together and get a close up look at the club kits I used. If you can not see the video up on your screen, you can watch it on my YouTube channel.
Let's take a close up look at each card.
This 6" x 6" Gate Fold card opens in the center and the flaps go up and down. The Large Die of the month is made for the focal piece to be used twice and mirror itself. Which made it perfect for adding to a gate fold.
The peach layer of this card measures 5-3/4" x 11-1/2", score the long size at 2-7/8" and 8-5/8". I then mounted this onto a white piece of card stock that is 6" x 6".
All the die cuts you see on this card are from the Large Die of the Month, Paisley Dreams. This set has dies that can be used to paper piece on top of this focal image so this element can have several different colors.
Look closely at the background on this card, I was able to stamp on to the die cut pieces using the Clear Stamp of the Month, Happy Moments. I used another stamp from this set on the inside of the card.
The Clear Stamp of the Month kit can be purchased with or without the coordinating die set. And this set is a great stand alone stamp set and does not have to be used with the Large Die of the month set. But how cool that it does coordinate!
My second large gate fold card is 5" x 7". To create this take a 7" x 10" piece of card stock. Score it at 2-1/2" and 7-1/2".
I then added panels to each of the flaps. These panels measure 2-1/4" x 6-3/4". Do you love the embossing on these panels??? That is from the June Embossing Kit, Botanical Diamond. Each month the embossing folder that you receive is 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", which means I was able to embossing both of these panels at the same time, yay!
The show stopper on this card though has to be the belly band! First, let's go over the measurements. The top layer of the belly band is 1-3/4" x 11". After hot foiling it I layered it on a white piece of light weight card stock that is 2" x 11". The belly band gets wrapped around the card and the ends adhered. Then the band is able to slide on and off the card.
The Glimmer Kit, Paisley Glimmer, has a super cool paisley plate that is a long strip of double rows of paisleys. I used Aura foil to foil my belly band with it. This glimmer set also comes with 3 sentiments. I used Forever Friend on my card hot foiled with Aura foil on peach card stock and die cut out with the coordinating dies. Which is another great thing about the hot foil kit of the month, almost every month the set include coordinating dies. AND a roll of foil too. This month the included foil is RAINBOW!!!
Speaking of coordinating dies, this set has two dies to cut out the foiled paisley. Which I used to add a few paisleys to the inside of this card.
