Hello there my stamping friends, welcome to my blog. Today I am hopping along with the design team from The Rabbit Hole Designs! I feel blessed to be asked to guest design with them for their August Release and the previous July Release as well. Getting to know MaryAnn, the owner of TRHD, has been a blessing in my life. Connecting with people in the paper crafting industry and making friends with people you might otherwise have never met is my favorite thing about working in the paper crafting industry. And I hope to get to know you better too. Us crazy for paper people need to stick together!
Now let's chat about the August release!!! The two stamp and coordinating die sets in this release are DARLING! And they are so much fun too. I love all the images. We have Balloon Animals #1 and Balloon Animals #2. And yes, you are going to want both!!! They coordinate together and both have some great, punny sentiments.
To see both stamp sets and the card I made you can check out this video.
If you cannot see the video up on this screen, you can also watch it right HERE.
There are so many ways you can stamp out these balloons, for this card I stamped the images on colored card stock with Versamark ink (which is a clear sticky ink) and then embossed them with clear powder.
To highlight my stamped images, I used Copic Markers to add a shadow and a white gel pen to add a highlight.
I love the images portrayed in these stamp sets, I had a hard time choosing. In the end I went with three that I thought would work well together on a slimline card; the snail, flower, and butterfly.
I wanted my card to have plenty of sparkle and shimmer. I added each stamped image to a piece of glittery craft foam to kick off the sparkle. The shaker puts the shimmer level at HIGH. If you are interested in the shaker bit and slimline shaker pocket I used you can find all the things linked for you below.
I had to include another balloon animal on the inside of the card and color it with Copic Markers. Want to know how I colored this, it's in the video and it's pretty easy to do.
Want to see more creations with these stamp and die sets? Below you will find all the stops on the hop!
