Happy September! So many fun new things going on in the month of September and among them are the new Club Kits from Spellbinders.
In this post I am sharing the Large Die of the Month, Just a Tweet. This set has 34 dies in it!!! You can create a bird, balloons, flowers, music notes, sentiments with layers and vines or branches for the flowers. The possibilities are great with this die set!
In this video I will show you all 34 dies and how they go together.
If you can not see the video up on the screen, you can also view it on my YouTube channel.
Now I have some close up photos of the card I made using these new dies.
I've used all but the balloons to make this card. I created a frame of vines and flowers around my bird and sentiment. I added dimension to the flowers using Copic makers over the colored card stock for shadowing. Then I used my white Gelly Roll pen to add highlights as well.
The background of this card has been embossed using the Slimline Flora embossing folder. It's such a pretty folder and was the perfect backdrop for my scene.
I chose to make a yellow bird, as we have some that frequent our bird feeder that is shaped like a flower and they are yellow. I can see them out my craft room window and that is the inspiration for this card.
Thank you so much for stopping by and letting me share the Large Die of the Month from Spellbinders with you. It's another great set with lots of detail and options.
I have listed and linked all the club kits that Spellbinders has to offer, as well as the bundle options they have if you like to get more than one kit.

The Large Die of the Month for August 2021 is here. Spellbinders has another great slimline die set for this month's kit. It is the Hex Kaleidoscope Slimline Die set. This die set has 5 dies in it. Two are slimline dies that nest together and three are layering hex shaped kaleidoscope pieces. These pieces then fit on to the slimline cover plate die cut. It is a beautiful set.
This die set is so pretty and just by changing up the colors you use can create so many different looks.
As with so many kits of the month that Spellbinders has to offer this months kit coordinate together. The floral images and the sentiment on this card are from the Clear Stamp of the Month for August, Hex Tile Stamps. The florals in this stamp set are awesome. It has a black outline stamp and then solid shape stamps to stamp over the top to fill in the flower with color! The result is stunning. And I love that the sentiments in this stamp set fit the hex shape perfectly.
I also used the Glimmer Kit of the Month on this card. The Glimmer Kit is a Hot Foil kit, but also in this months kit there is a Hex shaped die that fits on this die perfectly. I used that die to cut out the vellum over lays for this card. Stay tuned for a video and post featuring the Glimmer Kit tomorrow!
If you are interested in Spellbinders Kits of the Month I have them all linked for you below. They are such a great value and never disappoint. Let me know if you have any questions about them. If there are several kits you are interested in getting they do offer bundles and I have those linked for you to check out as well.
Thank you so much for stopping by!

All three of the products work and coordinate with each other. In this video I am going to show you all of these projects up close and show you different ways to pair them together. Then I will be creating 6 cards! Watch the video right here.
If you can not see the video up on this screen, you can also view it right here.
Now let's take a close up look at each of the cards I made with this collection.
This card uses all three of the products in this collection. I used the stencil to ink blend a tree that I then die cut out with the coordinating dies to make the top of the focal point tree. I also used the stencils to make a snowy background that I also added splatter too with Sparkle Silk and Cool Pool Silk. The Merry Christmas sentiment is hot foiled using the Shining Christmas Tree Glimmer set from this collection.
The panel for this shaker card is left over from the previous card. I added a lot of splatter to this panel using Silk and Rustic Forest Distress Oxide ink. the star is die cut out and it is embossed with a detail die that comes in the Oh Christmas Tree die set, it only embosses and does not die cut, it is a very cool touch to this set. The round accent embellishments on this card are die cut circles that come in the same die set that you can use to decorate one of the die cut trees. I loved them die cut from holographic paper and used as an embellishment like I did here. Again, the hot foiled sentiments are a perfect touch to this card. All the hot foiling I did on today's card is done using Prism foil. It is silver with an iridescent finish.
I wanted to show this tree on several card sizes, so you could get the feel of the actual size of the tree. Here I made a mini slimline card. The tree was stenciled with Rustic Forest Distress Oxide ink and then I used Nuvo Glacier Paste in Sea Sprite to add the second layer of stenciling. I love how this turned out! I used the same glacier paste for the stenciled background of falling snow.
This tree is all stenciled. The first layer is Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink, the second layer is Rustic Wilderness, the third is Metallix Gel in Pearl White (which seems to have been retired). The finished size of this card is 4-1/4" x 4-1/4". I use the Forevergreen Embossing folder for the background, it was the perfect match for this collection! The star is die cut from holographic paper and the sentiment is hot foiled with Prism foil.
This slimline card uses the stencil to create a background of trees and snow. The focal image tree is also stenciled, I added a second die cut tree behind it for a bit of shadow and to help it stand out. This tree is also hot foiled for added detail and shine.
I love that I can hot foil amazing details on to these trees!
This card is extra special because that gorgeous tree is a removable ornament. It attaches to the card with the help of Paper Crafting magnets that are super strong and thin.
I made sure to make the card so that when the ornament is removed the card is still pretty. This super fun idea was inspired by Chelsea Comer of Inky Stamper, which is where the Paper Crafting magnets I used on this card are from.
This super sparkly ornament was made with the Oh Christmas Tree die set. The base tree is cut from light green glitter paper and the top detailed tree is cut from silver holographic paper. The touches of Prism hot foil really add to the amazing shine of this piece.
I had so much fun playing with this collection. There are so many possibilities when it comes to mixing and matching the different sets in the Trim The Tree collection I just had to make so many things!
I have listed and linked all the things I used for you below.

Hello my stamping friends today I am spotlighting the July 2021 Large Die of the Month kit from Spellbinders. This months die set has 16 pieces in it! It die cuts a Mini Slimline Envelope box. It has 7 nesting dies with decorative edges for making Mini Slimline cards. There is a Happy Birthday sentiment and 5 dies that cut florals, most of which cut more than one floral! It's pretty awesome and I am in love with this months kit!
And as a bonus, this die set coordinates with the Glimmer Kit of the Month for July as well! If you are into Hot Foiling stay tuned I will be sharing that kit tomorrow! It makes dotted frames on slimline panels!!! Fun!
Let's take a look at this entire kit, sizes, and how to put it together in this video, as well as a complete card with matching envelope.
I used FIVE of the layering dies on this card and a bunch of foam squares to give this card a lot of dimension. That is because this envelope is a thick envelope that almost creates a box for your card. So make that baby with lots of popped up layers! The nesting layer dies in this set all have decorative edges, the alternate between a dot and dash pattern to a scalloped pattern. I have to say, the scalloped on these die cuts are special, they have some line detailing that is so dainty and pretty! I love that Spellbinders is always putting details like that in their dies!
That detailing on the scallops shows up so nicely on the gold layer. The smallest layering die in this set can be used with the Happy Birthday Die to make a rectangular sentiment that fits on the smallest scalloped rectangle perfectly!
And what do you think about the florals? There are only 3 flower dies, but each of those dies cuts out 3-4 pieces, making for a lot of choices when layering up your flowers. There are also two leaf dies that cut a total of 4 leaves.
I would love to know what you think of this month's Large Die of the Month! I am in love with the envelope box with the decorative edges! Make sure to check out the video to see this card and envelope come together.
I will be back again tomorrow with the Glimmer Kit of the Month for July, see you then!
Below are all the supplies for this card.

Today I am celebrating the Sizzling Days of Summer with Scrapbook.com.
I have several of Scrapbook. com exclusive products to share with you in the two cards I made in the video below. The 7 Sizzling Days of Summer has some amazing deals and a FREEBIE each day of the event!
I made some bright summery cards for you today with some products that I fell in love with.
If you can not see the video up on the screen, you can also view it here.
Now let's take a close up look at the cards I made.
First up is the sunshiny bright hello card.
I love the bold and crisp feel of this card.
I started out by ink blending a panel with Pink, Turquoise and Yellow ink and the new domed ink blending tools. The domed sponges are amazing and seem to glide across the paper effortlessly and made for a very nice blended rainbow.
Next I added a die cut cover piece using the Slim Sunshine die and the bright yellow card stock from the Brights Smooth Cardstock pad (which, side note, is a SLIMLINE paper pad, so there is less cutting for this slimline card addicted girl!) It looks stunning over the ink blended rainbow.
For the sentiment I used a few die sets and one sentiment stamp set, all on different sheets of cardstock from the Brights collection.
Let's start at the top, I die cut the word Hello using the Classic Type Alphabet dies, this die set comes with upper and lower case letters and I used both, cause I could!
The word "love" is from a scripty die set called; Inspire. I love pairing typed font with scripty type.
Lastly I added a sentiment from a Wordfetti stamp set; Best Day Ever, embossing it with white powder onto this fuchsia cardstock.
The boldness of this card reminds me of an advertisement for sunscreen,I think it is great to get inspiration from all kinds of places.
Next up, I have a slimline card with more rainbow ink blending, but this time, with the Wave Stencil.
You should watch the video and see how I got the watery look on the swirls of this card. This stencil just screams summer, I love it.
Did you happen to notice the rounded corners on the slimline panels of this card? This is one of my favorite die sets from Scrapbook.com, the Slim Nested Rounded Rectangles! There are 8 pieces in this set and I just want to layer them all up!
Again, I paired the Classic Type alphabet die set with the Best Day Ever stamp set for my sentiment. It reads, You Are (U R) something to smile about. The Best Day Ever stamp set is a great one for scrapbooking, but I found it was also fun for card making.
I have made a few other cards for the Sizzling Days of Summer that I will be sharing over on my Instagram, you can follow me here if you don't already.
Making these cards was like a little kick off to summer and the hot weather that has rolled in here in Idaho. I think tonight is a good night for a dip in the pool!

This is the Colorblocking Circles and Stripes die set. This set contains 10 dies.
The largest die in this set cuts 3 strips of paper that are 8-1/2" long and vary in width. There is a curved die that is mean to be layered with a second die cut to create three circle openings in a row. The circle sentiments fit in this openings. There are 3 circle dies that you can use around the sentiments or to create a solid layer for behind the sentiment. You can also use these to build the layering circles or half circles on, which are the other two dies you see below the sentiment dies. You can see these dies and how they work in my video below.
Now let's take a look at the two slimline cards I made using this die set.
As you can see I had some fun using the stripes die. As you may have guessed if you have visited my blog before, I love slimline cards, so having this die to do different techniques is very cool.
For my first card I did a diagonal rainbow pattern.
I picked card stocks from my stash with more of a pastel or muted feel to them. I really wanted to use the Clear Stamp of the Month set, Circles of Sunshine. It reminds me of graphic t-shirts you might buy while on vacation at a National Park. I have seen them with a rainbow background, so that is the inspiration behind today's cards.
I also used the curved die, you can see what it looks like here overlapped with a second die cut. It's a pretty neat die and can be used repeatedly to make a great background on a card.
I use that die repeatedly on my second card.
I added one to the center of this card where I added my stamps circles and one die cut sentiment circle. Then I added a partial piece to each end to extend the circles down the length of this slimline card.
I also used the stripes die on this card to make a plaid and woven background. You'll have to watch the video to see how I did this. It was easier than I thought.
Thank you for letting me share these dies and cards with you today. If you are interested in any of the supplies I used, you can find them linked for you below.

Hello there my stamping friends! You may have seen my recent post and video where I made several Gel Press backgrounds for some cards with the Painted Peony stamp set. Well, when I made a bunch of prints like that it adds to my beautiful stash of ever growing Gel Press prints. So, I have a goal to use more of them. One of the ways I love to use my prints to to do paper piecing with them. And the new Slimline Center Burst die set by Trinity stamps is the perfect die for paper piecing.
In the video below I not only show you the paper piecing and the making of this card but a quick demonstration on how to make a Gel Press print like the ones I used for the card.
If you can not see the video up on the screen, you can also view it right here.
And here is the card I made doing paper piecing.
The background on this card was made using the Slimline Center Burst Die, cutting different Gel Press backgrounds and adhering them to an 8-1/2" x 3-1/2" panel. I love the variety of textures! It makes for a stunning background. This die makes for stunning backgrounds will all kinds of papers, printed papers, textured card stock, foiled papers, ink blended panels, alcohol backgrounds, and I am sure there are others.
I also paper pieced the rainbow, sun and the "loved" part of the sentiment.
The So Very Loved stamp set is just darling. I love how Love Dani designs her images for Trinity Stamps with sentiments and images together. And they are always inspirational! This time Trinity Stamps took it to another level! They created an amazing die set to coordinate that allows to you add layers of die cutting to bring visual interest to a stamped image, or even use on it's own!

Today I am sharing a fun new slimline die set by Spellbinders! It's the Slimline Hemstitch die set. It has 6 dies in it. Three of these dies cut rectangles that nest with each other. The other three cut a hemstitch into each of the three rectangles.
I love to have fun details on my slimline dies and the hemstitch is very unique, I love that you can put colored card stock behind it and it will show through the hem stitch. In my video I give you a close up look at this die set and make 2 cards using the set.
Here are the sizes of each of the dies in the Slimline Hemstitch die set:
Large Rectangle Rim: 8.50 x 3.50 in./21.60 x 8.90 cm
Large Hemstitch Insert: 8.10 x 3.05 in./20.60 x 7.80 cm
Medium Rectangle Rim: 7.50 x 2.50 in./19.10 x 6.40 cm
Medium Hemstitch Insert: 7.10 x 2.05 in./18.00 x 5.20 cm
Small Rectangle Rim: 6.50 x 1.50 in./16.50 x 3.80 cm
Small Hemstitch Insert: 6.10 x 1.05 in./15.50 x 2.70 cm
Now let's look at the two cards I made with these cool dies.
Here you can see the hemstitch showing through the die cuts and how cool it looks, I love that detail.
Here is a close up look at the first card I made, which uses the largest and the smallest rectangles from this die set. The stamp set I used it Hello Sunflower, a new clear stamp set by Spellbinders.
The second card is a shaker card, I had to make one, because these dies are so great for making frames.
To make the frame for the shaker I used the medium die and medium hemstitch die. Then I die cut the center of this die with the small rectangle die. Resulting in a perfect shaker frame! The window sheet behind the frame covers up the the hemstitch detail, so when I add the foam tape to the back the holes are not sticky. Then I added my shaker elements a mix of sequins from Hero Arts and some gold seed beads from Craft Supplies by CC. To finish off the shaker I added a second window sheet to seal up my shaker and then was able to easily add that to my card. My card base is the large hemstitch rectangle stamped the the largest sunflower. I am LOVING this background. I adhered this background to a dark brown slimline card base (8-1/2" x 7", scored at 3-1/2"). I love how the dark brown card stock look showing throw the stitch for this panel!
I think it would also look really cool to stitch on these panels. I have yet to try it, but I hope to do that soon.
Thank you for stopping by and spending a bit of your day with me!
Below I have all the things I used listed and linked for you.

Today I am using a new slimline die from Scrappy Tails, the Slimline Brick Background die. And I am sharing 5 ways to use it. And I will be making 4 cards using the backgrounds I created.
Here are the 5 Ways I used the Slimline Brick Background Die
Inlay - inlay die cut bricks into the die cut from a different color of card stock. I used a Gel Press Print for my bricks. Patterned paper would also be good for this.
Overlay - Overlay the die cut background on top of a print. Again, I used a Gel Press Print.
Emboss it - Use a silicone mat and embossing plate from Spellbinders to press the die into your paper so it does not cut but dry embosses the bricks into the paper.
Stencil it - use the die cut background piece as a stencil. I stenciled modeling paste over a Gel Press Print and used for ink blending too!
Ink it up - I ink blended a panel of white card stock and die cut the Brick background from that. I adhered the die cut over a piece of card stock to create a background.
Take a look at each of the cards I made using background from these techniques.
I decided to color these daisies like Gerber Daisies. I love the bright fun colors so much!
The background for this card uses the Inlay technique. The gray bricks you see were die cut from a Gel Press Print, which is a technique of brayering paint onto a gelly plate and picking the paint up with paper after creating texture in the paint. You can see Gel Press print making in action in these videos: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLD-_6hyHsiqD_gItqSHDlQvv8rRRn5hRH on my YouTube channel.
This card uses the Ink it up and use it as a stencil technique. I did ink blending while using the brick background as a stencil. I used Black Soot, Hickory Smoke and Old Paint Distress Oxide inks.
I use the same layout for each card and made them all Birthday cards to build up my stash. Using the same layout is a time saver when making multiple cards.
I also used the die cut as a stencil for this card. I stenciled modeling paste onto a Gel Press print. I love the look and all the texture in this background. The flowers really pop.
For my final card I use the embossed background, this one has such a crisp and clean feel to it. I used colored card stock for embossing this die, a very light gray. And again, I love the look of this background and that I can get a completely different look with my die by embossing it.
I have left over background, 4 to be exact that I can use another day for more card making fun. You'll have to watch the video to see how I made all eight of the backgrounds using just these five techniques.
Thank you so much for letting me share my creations with you, making my own backgrounds is one of my most favorite things. Below I have listed and linked all the supplies I used to make these cards.

Today I'm sharing the Large Die of the Month, Universal Curved Border Set. There are 11 dies in this set. Four of them are border dies that are about 8-1/2" long. You can mix and match these dies to create unique border that fit not only slimline sized cards but everything in-between. There also 7 floral dies, so you can die cut some flowers and leaves to accent your creations.
This die set coordinates well with the Clear Stamp of the Month and the Glimmer Kit of the Month. You can check out all of the club kits right here. In today's video I will be using the Clear Stamp of the Month, Around the Bend. And stay tuned for another video featuring the Glimmer Kit of the Month tomorrow.
Here you can check out the Large Die of the month in action.
Here is a closer look at the slimline card I made using this new die set.
For my card, I used every die in this set. I mixed and matched all the border dies to come up with this lay out. There are so many possibilities with these dies. The floral and lattice border are dies that are going to cut a design into your paper. Then are two dies that cut way your paper in a curve or a scallop.
I used the additional floral dies to accent the white die cut floral border.
The sentiment and the stamped branch across the bottom of the card are both images from the Clear Stamp of the Month, Around the Bend. I love how the branch just finishes off the look of this card.
To embellish my card I used a lot of pearls. I used some teeny tiny pearls down the center of my lattice strip and slightly larger ones in the centers of my flowers.
I love the mix of dark and light card stocks on this card, it feels so springy. And I am loving the start of this new season!
Thank you so much for stopping by, if you have any questions about this new die set please let me know in the comments below.

Hello my stamping friends! Today's post is a part of the Spellbinders March Club Kit Blog Hop!
I am in love with this month's Large Die of the Month, Spring Together. It is an interactive die set with dies to paper piece together spring animals. It is really like 2 die sets in one, plus it has die cut sentiments! So maybe more like 3 die sets in one!
Speaking of two for one..... I love interactive cards so why not combine this interactive die set with my favorite kind of interactive card??? What is my fave??? Shaker cards! And that is what I did. This slimline card is a shaker with an interactive element, where the lever moves the bunnies back and forth.
ALSO, I wanted to make a Slimline shaker card without using any slimline dies. It can be done, you do not have to buy a special die to make a frame for a slimline shaker. I'll show you how in this video and you can see this card come to life.
If you can not see the video up on this screen, you can also view it on my YouTube channel.
Now let's take a closer look at this double interactive card.
In this video I show you how you can make a shaker card frame for a slimline card with out using any slimline dies. All you need is a blade style paper trimmer. Not a rotary cutter. It is easies to explain in the video, but you are basically using the trimmer to cut out the center of the paper leaving a 1/4" frame, as I did for this card. The back of my shaker is a fun plaid paper from the Playful Prints, it goes really well with the clay eggs. These eggs are from Trinity Stamp and are called Easter Eggcitement.
Once my shaker was made I set to die cutting my bunnies from tan, white and gray card stock. And the eggs from a grayish blue card stock, which I added some Sparkle Silk splatter too, for a speckled look. These bunnies and eggs are attached to arms that are attached to the lever from this Large Die of the Month. If you want to see a detailed video on how to use the interactive mechanism, watch my first video using this die set, right here. In this video I show you what the different dies are and how to put them together and make two different mini slimline cards.
When you pull the lever on this card the arms move back and forth, there for the the bunnies go back and forth.
The grassy borders on this card are die cut using the grassy die from this Large Die of the Month, you can just run it through the die machine twice to make a longer strip. Lay the die on a 8-1/2" strip of card stock, flush with one end and die cut. Then move the die over so it overlaps what you just cut a little bit. Run it through the die machine again to make a custom sized grassy border. Again, you do not have to have a slimline die to create it!
I embellished this card with the flowers from this die set. There really are so many great dies in this set.
Now you should hop along and check out the other inspirational projects in this hop featuring all the club kits from March.
Next up in the hop is Bibi Cameron, she always makes several amazing projects for the hops, so make sure you check out her post.

So first up let's look at the Large Die of the Month, this is a set of 14 Dies. It is the Birthday Wishes For Everyone Die Set. I love the chunky numbers in this set. You can use it to make cards that say "Happy 50th", or any number inserted there.
I thought it would be fun to make a valentines day card with this set, using the numbers 24/7. So let's take a look at this die set in action and see the card I made.
Did you love seeing me make my own glitter paper for this card. It was only a little messy but I love how it turned out and that I did not have to use a 8-1/2" x 3-1/2" piece of glitter paper to back my heart panel.
Here's a good look at my 24/7 slimline card.
I added some stamping to the numbers using the Lots of Love mini background stamp. I love the look of the heart embossed with clear powder on these chunky numbers.
The background of this card is made using the Slimline Kaleidoscope Heart die set, which was the Large Die of the Month kit for January 2021, it may be come available for purchase from the Spellbinders shop in the next mont or so.
The letters I used to spell out "love you" are also a previous Large Die of the Month kit, How Does Your Garden Grow Alphabet. They are available for purchase now in the Spellbinders shop.
To make my own glitter paper to back the slimline Kaleidoscope heart die cut panel. I use a White Liner Sheet. It is double stick adhesive sheets that at 8-1/2" x 11". I cut a piece to 8-1/2" 3-1/2" and backed my die cut panel with it. Then I sprinkled glitter on to that and used my finger to rub it into the adhesive. Then I removed the backing to the white liner sheet and backed it with a piece of white card stock. It took a lot less glitter than you would think to cover this. And I am glad I did not have to use such a big piece of glitter paper.
GLIMMER HOT FOIL KIT OF THE MONTH
Now let's take a look at the Glimmer Hot Foil kit of the Month. This months kit is called Scalloped Rectangle Glimmer Essentials with Sentiments. There are 9 plates in this set and no dies. In this kit a roll of Aura foil is included. That is one of my all time favorite foil colors! It is gold with an iridescent finish.
Look at those 6 layering rectangle with a scalloped edge. These are so pretty when foiled, you are going to love them!
Watch this video to see these plates in action and the shaker card and shaker tag I make with them.
If you can not see the video on this screen, you can also view it right here.
I also made a shaker gift tag to go with this card using the second to smallest plate in this set.
For the background on this tag I used a plate that is retired that looks like a waffle cone pattern. I have linked some paper below that look like waffle cone that would make a perfect substitution for this.

So many of the kits work well together as well as on their own. These two kits are great to use together.
Take a closer look at these two kits.
On the left we have the Large Die of the Month, a slimline die with layering heart to fit in the openings. And foliage dies for accenting.
On the right we have the Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month, with three different hearts you can hot foil and die cut out. There are also 5 sentiments that can be hot foiled as well. And again, foliage dies for accenting.
You can see my video of the January Large Die of the Month kit HERE.
And my video of the January Glimmer Hot Foil kit of the month HERE.
Now let's take a look at the card I made just for today's hop, combining both of these kits.
I started out this card by die cutting the slimline die from white card stock and three shades of pink card stock.
Next I adhered a window sheet panel to the back of the white die cut. This allowed me to paper piece in the fall out pieces around the large hearts using the shades of pink card stock that I also cut with the slimline die.
I love the ombre look this gives!
Then I took the largest hearts that are fall out pieces from the white die cut and glimmer hot foiled them with the Calligraphy Hearts set. The heart glimmer plates are the same size as this die cut. So I just taped my plate to the die cut and made a hinge. I opened that up and add my foil. Closed the die back onto the die cut and taped it closed. Then I was able to hot foil this with perfect placement. I did all three of my hearts with the same hot foil plate for a consistent look. To hot foil the hearts for my shaker I used my favorite foil, Aura. This foil is gold with an iridescent finish.
I used my die cut pink panels as a guide to add my foiled hearts to my card base, so they would be precisely placed when I added the front panel. And now the hearts show up in the window.
This card is also a shaker card, although the shaker elements are hard to see in the photo because I used a clear glass glitter. Because I paper pieces the hearts in and around the heart openings it was easy to create a shaker card and adhere this panel to my card base with foam adhesive.
That way you have the shiny shaker elements but it does not take away from the glimmer hot foiled hearts.
Lastly I added a hot foiled sentiment from the Calligraphy Hearts hot foil set. The finished size of this card is just a hair under 8-1/2" x 3-1/2".
I love these two kits paired together. And that they are great as stand alone die sets.

I am so excited that the Large Die of the Month for January 2021 from Spellbinders is a Slimline die set. If you have followed me for any length of time then you already know that the slimline card size is my current favorite thing. The slimline sized card fits into a business envelope and is about 8-1/2" x 3-1/2".
This new die set has a cover plate die that is heart themed. And it has a set of 3 layering heart dies that go with this cover plate. As well as some accent dies of foliage.
Here you can see this die set in action. NOTE - the music at the end of the video get loud, due to my editing error, so sorry.
If you can not see the video on this screen you can also view it right here.
Let's look at each of these cards so you can see all the amazing details.
This is such a beautiful cover plate! I love all the little hearts surrounding the 3 larger hearts. Before I die cut this panel I swiped a piece of white card stock with a gold stamp pad. After die cutting this panel is just a hair under the standard 8-1/2" x 3-1/2" of a slimline card front panel.
You can see the hearts on this card each have 3 layers. I started with a light pink card for the bottom heart. I layered that with a dark pink heart for the middle layer. And on top for the most detailed of the three heart dies I used gold mirror card stock. I love this look, the kaleidoscope look!
Around the center heart you an see the foliage die cuts that come in this set. They are designed to fit around the outside of the heart. But are versatile enough to use on any card.
For the second card I used the same white card stock brushed with gold ink for the panel I die cut the heart cover plate with. I then mounted this to a piece of brushed gold cardstock. I die cut only the most detailed of the hearts for the centers from gold foil card stock. I used the foliage dies to adorn the center of each heart.
For both cards I hot foiled a sentiment for another added touch of gold. If you are interested in learning more about Hot Foiling, you can check out these videos I have done on the Glimmer Hot Foil system and see my cute creations.

Welcome back to another Concord & 9th feature. Today I am share two Weekender Handbags I made, inspired by photos of designer handbags that my friend sent me.
I have made a video for you, so you can see exactly how these handbags go together.
Today's blog post is part of a blog hop with the other designers at Concord & 9th.
I am loving creating with the talented ladies this month, a couple who are my friends! So be sure to read to the end and hop along to see what each of them have made with the Weekender Handbag die set.
Now here are some close up pictures of each of the hand bags I made.
First up is the pink and brown and gold purse. I am IN LOVE with this color combination. Which was inspired by a photo of a designer purse a friend sent me.
The tag I used on this purse is a die from the Everyday Purse die set, if you like this Weekender Handbag die set, you will also love the Everyday Purse. I have several videos on that die set as well. I have listed them for you here, if you want to check them out.
I stamped this purse the the Weekender Handbag stamp set and gold ink for this fun designer look. And I added an accessory with the sunglasses die cut from the Bright Eyes die set.
The brown purse is very similar, with gold stamping, but this time on the main body of the purse using the clover like image. The XO is stamped onto the Wheat card stock with Wheat ink.
This Weekender Handbag has a fairly large capacity. The inside of the purse is about 4" long, 2" wide and 3" tall. I love that you can fit a decent amount of things in this purse, making it perfect for giving a small gift. Great for Valentines, a birthday, Mother's Day or any occasion that you want.
Now it is time to jump over and see what the other designers have made with this amazing die set. Next on the hop is Sara Sherlock from Much Love Sara. Sara always makes such beautiful things, I know you will be glad you hopped over to her blog.
If you missed a stop on the hop you can find all of the blogs listed for you below.

I hope you will stop back by soon, I will be back on Friday with another post for Concord & 9th, featuring the new Botanical Turnabout stamp set!
Hello my stamping friends, today is an exciting day! I am sharing with you my first creation with the Weekender Handbag from Concord & 9th, designed by my friend Becky Roberts from Inking Idaho. I fell in love with the first purse die set Becky designed, the Everyday Purse. So much so that I did and entire YouTube series on it. You can see those videos right here.
What is even more fun is that all of us that are designing for Concord & 9th this month thought we would come together and link our projects in a hop. Giving you lots of inspiration with this new die set! You can find the complete hop list at the end of this post.
I thought it would be easiest for you to see this purse go together in a video, so you can watch the making of the Weekender Handbag in the video below as well as see the Bright Eyes die set in action.
To customize this handbag I used the Gingham background stamp, inked it up with Sorbet ink and stamped that onto my already die cut handbag panels. I love the tone on tone look with this pattern. Next I stamped the XO from the coordinating stamp set over this with Mushroom ink.
This die set has amazing embellishments included that you can use to make this purse personalized and have a bit of bling. I just love the little heart locket and coordinating key!
And speaking of embellishing, how about accessorizing you purse?!? With a pair of matching sunglasses! Take a look at the die set that made these glasses, Bright Eyes !
Not only did I make a pair of glasses for my purse but I made a card with this die set as well.
And it was so much fun to make all these glasses in rainbow on a slimline card.
For the fun background on this 8-1/2" x 3-1/2" panel I used the ink cube direct to paper in rainbow order; Honey Suckle, Butter Cup, Parsley, Aqua Sky , and Eggplant. These are the same colors of card stock I used for the glasses themselves.
For fun I aded a die cut heart to each lease of each pair of glasses, which is a die from the Weekender Handbag die set. I added a bit of Shimmer to the glasses with a black wink of Stella. Pretty gorgeous I think!
How about some more inspiration now? Below are four other creative maker with ideas for you with these fun new die sets. Next up on the hop is Sara Sherlock. You are going to love her soft and pretty style, Sara pays close attention to detail and always makes amazing creations.
Here is the entire hop list incase you get off track along the way.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I so enjoyed sharing this new die set with you and I will be back to do it again soon!
I am excited to be sharing this card with you today. It has two interactive elements on it. I used the December Large Die of the Month kit by Spellbinders - Look Behind the Curtain for this card and made a shaker window as a surprise when you pull the curtains back.
Spellbinders has monthly kits for everyone, Large Die of the Month is just one of them. You can check out all their club kits here.
In this video I am going to show you the die, what it die cuts and how to use the pieces. Then I will make the shaker card to go with it!
I really love all the embossed detail on these curtains that come from a die! If you love this die set you will also love the Small Die of the Month, which is a Window die set.
You can also use these curtain dies to make a theatre looking curtain, which would pair nicely with the Clear Stamp of the Month kit that is ballerinas this month!
I also love that you can decorate your curtains and room around your curtains as you like. I chose colors I like for my curtains and added some Christmas decorations to it.
First let's take a look at the card with the curtains closed, look at the amazing texture!
Now here's a look at the card with the curtains open.
It looks like it is a white Christmas!!! I love these little snowmen from the Snowmen Days stamp set.
You can see in the window I have some clay shaker elements and some tiny clear beads, the perfect snowy shaker elements.
Below I have listed and linked all the things I used to make today's card. To see this card being made you can watch this video.

Thank you for letting me share this card with you. I love shaker cards and I love getting the Large Die of the Month in the mail!
Today I have a great project for you! It is a slimline card with a surprise element in a slimline envelope box with a window. That has enough room for a gift too!
I am pulling out lots of slimline goodies from Trinity Stamps today to create this project. You can see it all come together in this video.
If you can not see the video on this screen you can also view it right here.
Here you can see the card from the front, with the Happy Snowman looking so festive. Looks like a regular slimline card.
But when you pull on the tab.....
The snowman stands up and the surprise is revealed! I put the $5 behind a piece of window sheet that can only be accessed by pulling on the rip strip on the inside of the card.
I used this tree image from the Merry & Bright stamp set to add something cute to the inside of the card. And there on the left you can see the rip strip that is also from the Slimline Surprise die set that I used for the front of the card.
And here the Snowman card and jumbo chocolate bar are in the box. The box was made using the Slimline Envelope Builder die set and the Build a Box with Long Flap option. When you pair these two die sets together you can make this gift box. I love the window in the box for a peek at the card.
I had so much fun making this card and box, I think the Happy Snowman die set is just about the cutest thing!!! And Trinity Stamps is my favorite place to shop for all things Slimline!
How cute are these embellishments in little storage containers and all in a case! I am sure these are going to sell out fast! Hurry to get yours right here.

My FAVORITE Place to shop for Copic Markers - Scrapbook Pal

This card all started with the desire to do some no line coloring with the Winter Friends stamp set. And wanting to pull out the Slimline Scallop Peekaboo die set I have had for a little bit from Whimsy Stamps and play with it too.
That resulted in a Slimline Peekaboo shaker card with the Winter Friends. And they are so cute colored with no line coloring. You can see it all come together in this video.
If you can not see the video on this screen you can also view it right here.
The Slimline Scallop Peekaboo die set has two flaps that open to reveal whatever scene or sentiment or gift card you want to put in there, so many possibilities.
I added trees and snow to the background using the Winter Sentiments stamp set from Not 2 Shabby. This is a stamp set you can purchase or get for free with a $60 purchase at the Not 2 Shabby shop. You can also get the Winter Friends stamp set when your order reaches $100! Both are darling and work so good together!
I love that you open the flaps to this wintery scene. I think no line coloring is perfect for this scene because the trees from the Winter Sentiments stamp set are solid and stamped in green ink, they do not have a black outline. And with the no line colored images my critters do not have a black outline either. So they coordinate well with the trees and give the card an over all softer look that is great with a snowy scene.
Here you can see the bunny up close. I used Copic Markers to do my no-line coloring. I used two shades of pink and two shades of red for the bunny's winter clothing. For the bunny itself I used three shades of warm gray; W4, W2 and W0. Then I added some highlights with a white gel pen. I needed a bit more detail on his eyes, so I used a mechanical pencil to draw in the eyelids and lashes. It was the perfect touch.
I colored the fox with E19, E15 and E13 Copic Markers. And the same warm gray markers for the white areas. I used YR17, YR13 and YR11 for his hat and scarf. Again, I used a white gel pen for highlight, which I feel really brings these images to life. You can see how well the no lined color image goes with the solid tree images and snowflakes.
What do you think about those amazing shaker elements? These are the Charleston Sequin Mix by Catherine Pooler, and were the inspiration for the colors I chose for this card. Honestly this color combination has been one of my favorites this holiday season.

I love the first of the month, it means I get to share with you the newest Large Die of the Month kit from Spellbinders. And every month I am excited about the die set. This mont is no exception. The Merry Stitching die set is super cool.
It is a set of 6 dies. Three of the dies cut out images that can be stitched and the other three cut out these images. There is a snowflake, a tree and a scalloped border.
Not only can these dies be stitched but the way they are designed they also look great with out stitching. It is so genius! For my projects I wanted to show how to stitched on all of the die cuts. The other thing I love about this die set is that the possibilities are endless. Just by changing the colors of card stock and floss you use you can get so many different looks.
You can see these dies in action and what I made with them in the video below.
If you can not see the video on this screen you can also view it right here.
Now let's take a closer look at each of the projects I made with this die set.
First up is the card with the scalloped border.
I used three shades of blue floss on this card and just love the ombre look. All the of the stitching on these die cuts is easy to do and are all some form of a fan shape. Like on this card you have a square fan and a scalloped fan. You can see how to do it in my video and the die set actually comes with a guide.
Now let's take a look at the Christmas tree all stitched up.
For this tree I die cut the image from white card stock and used a dark green floss. I die cut the outline of the tree from a mint tree card stock to back the tree with. Each of the die cuts in this set have openings on them that are not stitched, but decorative elements. So backing them with a colored card stock is another fun way to add detail.
I used DIY Hoops from Fun Stampers Journey to turned the Christmas Tree and Snowflake into ornaments.
I seriously love how this snowflake turned out! You can expect to see more of this snowflake. Which also looks like a doily when you just die cut it and do not do any stitching. So don't feel like you have to stitch these die cuts. They look amazing either way.
I think these ornaments would make great tags that the recipient can then use as an ornament.
Below I have listed and linked all the supplies I used to make the projects.
