A new release always makes for a good day! Today I get to celebrate and help kick off the Sparkle Season Holiday Release with Trinity Stamps. You may already know I am a huge fan of the Trinity Stamps line and am blessed to be a part of their design team. So to help kick off this new release I am sharing a fabulous new die, the Large Ornament Shaker Die.
As a HUGE fan of Shaker cards I knew I had to play with this die set right away. And I found that with just one pass of this die I could actually get enough pieces to make three cards, and so that is what I did!
You can see these three cards come together and the ink backgrounds I created for them in this video. If you can not see the video below you can also watch it HERE.
Here is your close up look at each of these cards.
This ornament is just over 3 inches and makes a great focal image for an A2 sized card (5-1/2" x 4-1/4").
This style of shaker card is called Inlaid. The shaker window is below the surface of the card front. The red ornament frame on this card the cut from the largest die in the Large Ornament Shaker die set. This set also has a topper for the ornament, a dainty little bow, as well as pine branches.
I filled this shaker with a clay embellishment mix, Deck the Halls. It has little trees, leaves of holly and red berries. To this mix I added a little bit of red beads that are super tiny. I have had these beads in my stash since before I can remember.
Did you notice my sentiment? It is from the new Simply Sentimental Holiday stamp and die set. If you are not familiar, Trinity Stamps has an entire line of Simply Sentimental sentiment stamp sets. Each set focuses on one word, like HOLIDAYS, in this case. There is a stamp and die of this word in several different fonts. And you can mix and match the different Simply Sentimental sets together. The Simply Sentimental Happy is a perfect match for the Holidays set!
The frame of this shaker was die cut from the background panel on the first card. It is a thin frame and Trinity Stamps now makes foam tape that is this exact width of this frame and they curve around the frame like a dream!
I filled up this shaker with some Glistening Snow Confetti pieces for a shiny contrast to the green.
The element of shine also shows up in the background of this card which I made using different green Distress Mica Sprays. I just sprayed and splattered my paper with 3 different greens, super easy and a so pretty!
For this last card I had a circle left from cutting out my ornament and used that along with the pine branches to create a wreath.
And here you can use the use of the Simply Sentimental Holiday and Simply Sentimental Happy together on this card, as well as the previous card. I love that the fonts are the same in each stamp.
And yes, this is another inky background, I love the red ink smooshed background with white splatter on top. You can see all these backgrounds being made in the video for these cards.
Below I have listed all the new products from the Sparkle Season Holiday Release.

Hello there my stamping friends! Today I am pulling out my Distress Christmas products to make this card.
Can you spot the 4 Distress products I used? In the background I used Winterberry and Peppermint Stick Distress Mica Spray Stains. On the Window for my Cupcake Shop I added some Icicle paste for some icy crackle. And last but not least I added Snowfall paste along the outside of the window and top of the sign. You can see how I did it in the video below.
I love all the different textures that adding shimmer, pastes and glitters gives to a project. Not to mention the tiny clay candy bits!!!
Here is a great close up look at all the textures in this card as well as the fun holiday themed cupcakes from the Jolly Cupcake stamp set. I love the HoHoHo Cupcake shop. And now I need some cake! LOL.
This card is not a shaker card, but could easily to made into one. I just loved the idea of a window display of cupcakes in a store front.
Below I have listed the supplies I used to make this card. However, most of the Distress Christmas products have sold out, as I was a limited time offering. But don't let that stop you from using the sprays and pastes and glitters in your stash to make something similar. Just play and have fun!

You might look at this Large Poinsettia stamp from Trinity Stamps and think that would be fun to color, but what else could I do with it???
Today I am going to share with you 3 ways to use this beautiful Poinsettia that do not involve coloring at all. Each of these cards has a vintage vibe to it and are special cards that are made not just with paper but with love.
It is best to see how these cards came together, check out this video to see my process:
The moral of this card is a very famous proverb, Necessity is the mother of invention. When I masked off my watercolored Poinsettia I did not realize that the masking paper I used was actually sticker paper! That lead to my watercolored poinsettia being covered in glitter. I did not want to start over as I already had such a beautiful inky background. And in the end, I love how it turned out.
As far as the watercolored Poinsettia goes, it is super easy. I used Distress ink cubes in Fired Brick and Rustic Wilderness to ink up the stamp. Then I spritzed the stamp with water several times and stamped it down on to my watercolor paper. The result is this beautiful flowy Christmas floral. Then I masked off the flower using the largest die in the coordinating die set and "masking paper". With the flower covered I was then able to stamp the Encouragement Text background stamp around that. Which was inked up with Vintage Photo Distress ink and spritzed with water before stamping down. Then it was time for splattering. I splattered and ink smooshed Vintage Photo, Fired Brick and Rustic Wilderness. And after I added the die cut sentiment I splattered even more with some white acrylic paint.
Each of my cards has a certain feel to it. The feel of the first card is Christmas Fruit Cake, the colors just remind me of that colorful creation. So, I call it with Poinsettia Fruit Cake card. This next card is the Poinsettia Christmas Fireplace card. Think of the soot around the fireplace, where bits of coal have fallen off Santa's boots, but not into your stocking.
I just love how this card turned out.
It all started with a ink smooshed background in Fired Brick. Then I stamped the poinsettia over the top with Vintage Photo ink, spritzing it with water before stamping it down. When that was dry I use a fine liner pen and sketched out the poinsettia. The point is to make it look very sketchy, not perfect. I also decided to make the entire image be just the poinsettia and not have green leaves. It was very easy to sketch the leaves to look like more petals of the flower. Then I masked off the image, with actually masking paper this time. I stamped the same background stamp with Black Soot Distress ink and water. Then I did a bit of water coloring with the same colors of ink. Adding red highlights to the petals and a black shadow around the flower. White splatter finished it off.
I wanted to carry the glitter element over to this card as well, since it was an unexpected addition to the first card, why not challenge myself to add it to each card I was creating.
So, I used Black Mica flakes in the corners, I was a bit nervous doing this as the card has so much work put into it at this point. BUT, it really adds a WOW factor to this card.
This next card I call Poinsettia Christmas Postcard.
For this card I wanted to utilize the 4 piece coordinating die set and make a layered poinsettia. To color this up I used Distress Mica Spray Stains. Now, I know these are sold out and if you did not get these you could use Distress Spray or Distress Oxide Spray for this technique. After spraying you could add shimmer to it with lots of other products. I will link one I love in the supplies below, Sparkle Silk.
With my sprayed Peppermint Stick Panel and Tree Lot Panel I then stamped the poinsettia once on the green and twice on the red. I die cut them and layers them up with foam squares. For the center of the flower I used Flickering Candle. When you turn this piece in the light the shimmer is lovely.
The background was stamped with the Encouragement Text background stamp in Pealed Paint Distress Oxide ink. Spritzing this with water before stamping it, really gave it a glow! I then splattered it with Broomstick Mica Spray.
The glitter I used on the edges of this card is Tinsel Distress Glitter. And how about those Forest Fern Baubles, they are just the perfect embellishment for the card. All of the baubles I used are from Trinity Stamps and can be found in the supplies below.
I'd love to know if you have a favorite. I think mine is the Poinsettia Fireplace card. I am so proud of myself for sketching that poinsettia and I just love the look. But truly I had so much fun playing and getting inky making these cards.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I will see you soon with more creations.

Hey there my stamping friends, welcome back. Thank you for stopping by to visit me!
Today I am sharing a card that was super fun to make. I love making my own backgrounds and today's backgrounds is layers of ink, die cutting, stenciling and stamping to create a background with depth and a lot of visual interest.
This background started with a 8-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Bristol Smooth card stock. I inked it up using Distress Oxide inks; Prize Ribbon, Spiced Marmalade, and Mustard Seed.
Of course I spritzed this panel with water after ink blending to pick up a bit of that color and add those yummy delish water drops. Adding to that splatter I pulled out the Broomstick Distress Mica Stain Spray. It added a layer of shimmer that is yellow, but also golden.
Next I used the Stitched Swirling Winds die, it cuts stitched lines in swirls right into the paper.
What a cool die that you can really use for so many things!!! I love it.
The next layer is the stenciling. I used the Seasonal Winds stencil and a wet baby wipe to pick up the color of the Distress ink where the stencil was laid. It's is a subtle layer that made is easy for me to add my next layer of stamping.
It's very subtle, but next, I stamped the largest stamp of swirling leaves over the top of my background in Versamark ink and embossed them with clear embossing powder. This completed my background.
Then it was time to make my leaves. I used my MISTI so that I could stamp the leaves several times in different colors. I first inked the leaves up a little bit with the Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink, spritzed my stamp lightly and stamped it down on watercolor paper. Then I inked the same stamp up with Spiced Marmalade, spritzed it with water, and stamped it right over the top of what I already stamped. And repeated that again, this time using the Prize Ribbon ink. Then, for the last step, I stamped the image again with Versamark ink, so that I could emboss the leaves with clear powder. Once the leaves were done, I was able to die cut them all out and adhere them to my card.
The sentiment is from the Beautiful Breeze stamp set. Each word is it's own stamp and has a coordinating die. I added extra die cuts under the words to help pop them up.
Of course I can not leave out a layer of bling! So, I added rhinestones in yellow, orange and blue. This card front was then mounted to a slimline card base that is 8-1/2" x 7", scored at 3-1/2". All the things I used are linked for you below. If you are looking for the Distress Mica Spray Stains be sure to check out the Ranger website.

Hello there stamping friends. Today I am making rainbows with Distress Oxide Sprays! I am using just 3 sprays to make all 4 of today's cards. I am also excited to be playing with two new stamp sets from Spellbinders that are part of the Delightful Darlings collection. These four stamp sets were designed by Mayline Jung. They are whimsical and just fun! You can coordinate all four of the stamp sets together too. I am using the Darling Bouquet and Darling Hugs sets on today's cards.
To best get an idea of these cards and how I made the backgrounds watch the video below.
For the first card I did a lot of layering to get the final background, but it all started with just spraying on ink.
For all of today's cards I used only 3 Distress Oxide colors; Worn Lipstick, Mustard Seed and Salty Ocean. For this card I sprayed the Worn Lipstick at the top fo the panel, Mustard Seed in the middle and Salty Ocean at the bottom. Where the colors over lapped it blended and gave me the orange and green that you see in the background. It is very easy and I could have stopped there. But I decided to spritz this background with water to get some splatter on top. The I splattered on a bit of each color by removing the nozzle from the sprayer and tapping of any excess ink on the the end of sprayer. The final layer of this background are stamped flowers in coordinating ink. And to finish it off I splattered on some Sparkle Silk. I popped up my images and added a vellum banner under the sentiment.
For card two I sprayed on all three inks again. Once they were dry I then used my Heart Wall stencil and added some Glitz Glitter Gel over the top. This background fit a 5" x 7" card. I added my stamped images and a few stamped hearts to complete this card, keeping it simple to let that glittered background shine.
Card three also uses the Heart Wall stencil. This time I sprayed my paper that was underneath the stencil.
You can see that a lot of ink bled out from under the stencil. That is because I picked up the excess ink that collected on top of the stencil with another piece of card stock that will be the background for the fourth card. To help define these "bleeding hearts". I repositioned the stencil back over the background once dry and used a black liner pen to outline the hearts. Then I splattered it as well with each of the Distress Oxide sprays, using the end of the sprayer to do so and it played into that grungy look. This card is a Mini Slimline card and measures 6" x 3".
Don't you think these girl stamp are just darling? I am really enjoyed coloring them up to all be different.
The last card uses that extra background I created when making card 3, picking up the excess ink off the top of the stencil. This card is a slimline card and so I had extra room at the top to add my sentiment and heart talk bubble I found in my scraps. This background might be my favorite, especially because it was an unplanned background.
I'd love to know which of these four cards or backgrounds is your fave! I always have so much fun when I make my own backgrounds and topping them with these darling stamps was delightful! hehehe.

Hello Stamping Friends! Happy Monday. Today I am here with a super fun collaboration with my new crafty friend, Candice of Candoodle Creations. Making crafty friends who love to do the same things I do it one of my favorite things about having a YouTube channel. Since Candice and I both love Lawn Fawn we thought it would be fun to team up and bring you a couple of fun videos. The challenge was to use our favorite Lawn Fawn stamp sets to make Christmas cards. I chose one of my faves, Car Critters and the new Christmas Card Critters Add on. Candice chose the Mermaid for You stamp set. For my video I chose to make a card for each of these sets. You can check out my video and the making of these cards below.
If you can not see the video on this screen, you can also view it right here.
Now let's take a look at each of these cards.
You might already know that I love the Car Critters stamp set from the Car Critters Stamp Set of the Month series. So when Lawn Fawn came out with the Christmas add on I was very happy to add that set to my collection. And even more happy to be using to make a fun Christmas card for this challenge.
In this scene the little deer are out looking at Christmas lights. This is a tradition that we do in my family. We pile in our truck with my parents and drive all over the city checking out Christmas lights. We wear our jammies and have hot cocoa and popcorn. And of course listen to Christmas music. It is a ton of fun! Until you have to run in Walmart to use the bathroom. But if you have to run in somewhere to use the bathroom in your jammies, Walmart is a judgement free zone to do so.
To create this scene I used another favorite of mine from Lawn Fawn, the Build-a-House die set and the Christmas add on die set. The Santa on the roof is from the Tiny Christmas stamp set. What do you think, it is actually Santa or is part of the Christmas decorations?
I add glaze to the Christmas lights and the window to give them some shine.
I adde the glaze to the headlights and Rudolph nose on the car. As well as the ornaments on this tree.
What do you think of the red and white stripped paper in the background? I really wanted to add that in the background as I felt the card needed another pop of Christmas. I did not have the right sized paper or color that I wanted to use for a slimline card. So I went to Etsy and found some digital paper. I was then able to print out and die cut this panel for my background. Here is a link to the paper that I purchased from the Periwinkle Pixel Shop.
Now let's take a look at the Christmas card I made using the Mermaid for you stamp set.
Santa has found his way to everyone on the Nice List, including this darling mermaid and her friends.
I used a few other stamp sets to create this scene, Lawn Fawn has so many under the sea sets and they all work together. I used the Ocean Shellfie set because it has a couple rocks in it that coordinate with the big rock from the Mermazing set. And I love the octopus, Dory or Flounder looking fish and the little jelly fish!!!
I pulled out an oldie but a goodie for my island, Life is Good. The crab, island and tree are from that set. Santa and the present are from the Ho-Ho Holidays set, This Santa and the Santa from Tiny Christmas are almost identical, except in size of course. The nice list image is from the Holiday Helpers set, it is a cute set featuring elves! I love how the crab is helping Santa and holding up the list.
Did you notice that this card has stripped background paper too? This is also a digital paper, from The Digi Rainbow shop on Etsy. Again, I printed it out and die cut it wit the large rectangle die from the Large Slimline with sliders die set. This paper matches the Chipped Sapphire ink I used for my night sky perfectly.
Now it is time to click over and watch Candice's video and see what she made for this challenge. It was so much fun for me. I love a good challenge and making a Christmas card with a Mermaid stamp set was a challenge for me. I love how it made me think differently and stretched my creativity. In the end I love how it turned out! Thank you Candice for the fun and for collaborating with me!

Hello there, welcome back. It is Tuesday and that means it is time for another stamp set of the month episode. This is Episode 3 of my Tiny Gingerbread Series. This week I am making a gingerbread village and reveal wheel card.
You can watch the Episode right here.
If you can not see the video on this screen you can also watch it right here. Be sure to click over to YouTube and leave a comment on the video for a chance to win the Reveal Wheel card I make in the video.
Let's start by taking a closer look at the slimline card. This is a gingerbread village. Full of sugar and spice and everything nice. I thought the new Gingerbread Build-a-House add on die set went perfectly with my Tiny Gingerbread set and knew I had to use it in this series.
You can see in this village is rains gumdrops and snows sugar.
Here is the A2 card, using the Build-a-House and Gingerbread house add on to make a Reveal Wheel card. The picture in the upper window changes three times as you rotate the wheel.
Both of my cards have a snowy background, using the new Snowy Sky stencil. It is one of those must have stencils that I will use repeatedly.
The tiny gumdrops on this card and the lollipops on the slimline card come from the Sweet Christmas stamp set, another gingerbread set. If you like the Sweet Christmas set, check out this slimline card I made with that set.
You can watch the making of this card in this video right HERE.
I guess you can say that I have a thing for gingerbread. I think they are so cute. And I do make a batch of gingerbread cookies every year with my girls. They are also very yummy.

Welcome back, it's Eposide 2 of the Really High Five series! Today, I am showing you how to use the Reveal Wheel and circle add on's to make a two window Reveal Wheel card!
You can see here there is not ONE but TWO windows in this card!
And when you turn the wheel the color of the balloons change.
But the faces do not move! If you were to stamp the faces on the circles then as you turned the wheel the faces would move and end up being sideways. So, I designed a work around. It involves a paper crafters secret weapon, a window sheet! You can see how I used this secret window in Episode 1, right here: https://youtu.be/Ug4Omv-vu1Q
You can see the making of this card and how to create a second window in your Reveal Wheel cards in the video below.
If you decide you want to make a 2 window Reveal Wheel card please let me know! I want to feature your card on my blog. Leave a comment below and I will be in touch!

I don't think unicorns should be the only ones who get to enjoy rainbows and sparkles and glitter.
Today's card features all those things and a penguin from the Penguin Agenda stamp set by Penguin Palace. It was a card I made just to have fun creating. I decided to make it a birthday card to build up my stash. I like to have birthday and thank you cards on hand.
This card is all about the background for me. I love making my own backgrounds. I started with a piece of white card stock cut to 4" x 5-1/4". Then I used some make up style blending brushes to apply Distress Oxide ink. I started with Candy Apple and concentrated the ink to the top of paper, fading it out towards the middle. The second color I used is Mustard Seed, concentrating that color towards the middle and blending it with the red ink to give a nice orange transition. The last color is Salty Ocean, which I applied to the bottom of the panel, blending it with the yellow for a green transition.
Next, I used the Rain of Heart stencil (LOVE IT) from Penguin Palace, over the top of my background. This time I used the traditional style blending tool (wooden handle with a round sponge on the end) to blend on the same ink colors in the same place as I did before. Using the different brushes to apply the ink allows me to get different intensity in the ink concentration. The make up style blending brushes give you lighter coverage and the traditional style blending tool gives a more concentrated ink coverage. So using both brushes for a background like this makes this look easy to achieve.
But I did not stop there. I can not make a Distress Oxide background with out splattering it with water. I broke out my distress sprayer and sprayed it with a mist of water and then pulling the trigger half way a few times gave me the larger splatters.
Lastly, I splattered this background with some Sparkle Silk by Fun Stampers Journey. Because rainbows need sparkle and shimmer!
I stamped by Penguin with Jet Black ink by Lawn Fawn onto white card stock and used my Copic Markers to coloring it in. Even though there is a die set for this stamp set, I do not own it and so I fussy cut him out and guess what, I survived! And it doesn't even look bad. I am so used having coordinating dies, it was good for me to break out the scissors!
I needed a spot for my penguin to hang out on this card, so I die cut a cloud from Pixie Dust card stock and added a sentiment banner that says Happy Birthday. The penguin still looks like he is floating by snapping pics, but he is anchored to the card with these other elements.
To finish off this card I pulled out my Rainbow Drops by FSJ and added them so they were over their matching color as these gems are somewhat transparent. Which I love because they pick up the color behind them, allowing them to match the specific shade of that color.
For one last touch of shimmer, I used my clear Wink of Stella pen to color over the balloons. A line and dot of white gel pen on the penguins head finished off my card front and was then mounted to a top folding 4-1/4" x 11" card base. Ready to send, and while he waits he sits on my shelf in my stamp room, so I can see it everyday, rainbows make me smile!
If you have any questions about this card, how I made it or the products I used do not hesitate to ask. I would love to know what you think of this card. Have you tried making a background like this before. Leave a comment below, I love chatting with my fellow stamping friends!

Hello there and welcome to Episode 3 of my Cocoa Stand series. Every week I am bringing you a new idea with the Avery Elle stamp set, Cocoa Stand. And today I am actually making a Cocoa Stand. In the past two Episodes I have made a Tree Farm Stand and and Sledding Stand.
I knew that I wanted to do a pink, red and brown card for this hot cocoa theme. It is my current fave for Christmas cards. So I started with an ink blended background. Using ink blending brushes that my daughter spotted in the dollar store!
And I have to say, I was very impressed with how well the dollar store blending brushes worked!
These are the three brushes that my Dollar Tree store had. A dollar a piece. I would like it if they had a bigger size. However, these worked great for the background I made that was a full card front size.
For the background I ink blended Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide inks. Which I then splattered with water and Avery Elle Clear Shimmer Spray. Can you see why I love pink for Christmas? This background just makes me happy.
Then I set out stamping and coloring all my images from the Cocoa Stand stamp set and Polar Peek-a-Boo Pals stamp set. It was a lot of images, but I kept the coloring simple with a small selection of Copic Markers for the coloring.
I love that the moose looks like he just busted into the stand and got the lights all tangled up in his antlers. My other favorite thing about this card, is how I made gave the sides of the stand candy cane stripes.
The creating did not end with this card, as with all the other cards in this series, I made a matching gift tag!
The little bear is popping up out of his pink hot cocoa cup! On both of these cards I used Nuvo Jewel Drops in Cocoa Blush to make it look like there is cocoa spilling out. These drops dry translucent with a tint of brown. Perfect for my creations!
You can check out the making of these projects in the YouTube video below. You also have a chance to win today's card, just by leaving a comment on the video over on my YouTube channel. Winner will be announced on next week's video.

Hey there! Today is Part 4 of the the July Stamp set of the month series (despite what my video says, I might have got a head of myself). The July stamp and die set of the month is by Honey Bee Stamps, it is the Good Mix stamp and die set. I love all the fun images in this set and that is has a great coordinating die set that cuts all the things out for me. If you missed any of the other posts with this set you can find them here:
For today's card I am creating a surprise on the inside of the card. If you have followed me for very long you already know that I LOVE shaker cards. So for this card I shook things up and put the shaker on the inside of the card for a fun surprise when you open it up!
First, let's take a look at the outside of the card.
I used Distress Oxide ink pads to ink blend a rainbow over a stamped and embossed background for the card cover. So, the images from the Good Mix stamp set do not have to be the focal image of the card.
To dress this card up I used one of my favorite things, Rainbow Drops!
Now let's check out what this card looks like when you open it.
It's a record player shaker, on the inside of the card. How fun! To make this record player I used the Record Player Card Base die set by Honey Bee Stamps.
The record die has got to be one of my favorite things! I love that it presses the lines into the record as well as die cuts. And the set has all the other fun elements to make a complete record player. I could not have had more fun making this. And I LOVE that the base of this record player is clear and has RockStar confetti and Confetti Sparkle too. I'd love to get this card and have this fun surprise when I opened the card.
Since the spot where you normally write you message is taken up by this shaker, you can write on the upper inside flap, which is where I stamped "Hope your Birthday is a HIT" from the For The Record stamp set.
You can watch the making of this card from start to finish in this video. Be sure to click over to YouTube and leave a comment there. Everyone who comments will be entered to WIN this card. The winner will be announced on next Monday's video.
Be sure to tune in next Monday for Part 5 of my stamp set of the month series, the real Part 5. hehehe.
Below I have listed and linked all the products I have used. Clicking on these links helps to keep this blog and YouTube channel going at no additional cost to you. Thank you!
Making a scene today using Distress Oxide Inks 5 ways on this one card! I love a sunset scene and like to play with different colors to create it. Today's sunset takes place On The Beach, with the stamp set of the same name by Lawn Fawn.
I had so much fun creating this beach scene, it really makes me crave a lazy day some where sandy and tropical. To color in my stamped images I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I love all the images in the On the Beach stamp set, but also LOVE the crab from the Life is Good stamp set, so I had to include him too. Which leads me to the point that has to be said about Lawn Fawn, it makes me so happy how you can mix and match most all of their stamps sets!
In the video below I show you how I made this card and the 5 ways I used Distress Oxide ink. If you have not yet done so I'd love for you to click over to YouTube and subscribe to my channel. I release about 2 videos a week.
Here are the 5 ways to use Distress Oxide inks that I showed in the video:
Ink Blend to make a scene
Draw/Color on a Distress Oxide blended background with a water brush
Splatter water over a Distress Oxide blended background
Use Distress Oxide ink to splatter with
Ink Smooshing for a one of a kind background
Check out this amazing watery background I created for the inside of the card.

So excited to be apart of another reveal, a new product by Inky Stamper, the Small Fry Box die set!
This Small Fry Box is the cutest little thing. I had so much fun making it I did not stop at one, but made six!
It's hard for me to not make things in a rainbow of colors!
This small fry box is easy to die cut from a piece of card stock that is 5-1/2" x 4-1/4", which means that you can die cut 4 boxes from one piece of 8-1/2" x 11" piece of card stock, LOVE THAT! It makes it easy to make a bunch of these as a party favor!
The size of this box makes it easy to do a lot of fun things, like stamp it with a background stamp and emboss it with an embossing folder! Check out my video below to see all the other ideas I came up with for this box.
Did you notice that I did not end up using the Double Bow die? You'll have to stay tuned for that project!
So, which box is your favorite?
I thought the Lawn Fawn stamp set, A Little Sparkle, was the perfect thing for these little boxes. You could dress them up with any of you little stamp images.
Below I have listed and linked all the supplies I used to make today's projects. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have, I love interacting with you!
Today I get the privilege of sharing a new line of stamps and dies with you from Inky Stamper! The person behind Inky Stamper is my friend Chelsea Comer. She just started her own line of stamps and dies! When she asked me if I'd like to design some projects for her release I jumped at the chance to help my friend. She sent me her new Dragonfly stamp set. Check out how cute he is!
Below I have a video for you featuring this stamp set on two projects. Check it out, and if you like the video give it a thumbs up to let me know.
Note: Before adding the stamp set to your cart you can click to purchase the stamp set with coordinating dies.
Now let's take a closer look at the projects I made.
I wanted the Dragonfly to be flying over a field of flowers. I used the flower from this stamp set as my starting point for this background. I stamped it with Clear Pigment ink and embossed it with clear powder. Then I was able to inkblend over the top of the flowers, making a ink resist background. To get this sunset look I used three Distress Oxide ink pads and some ink blending tools. From top to bottom the ink colors I used are Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry and Wild Honey. To get such a seamless blend I think paper choice is key. I used Neenah Classic Crest Solar White card stock. It's my favorite for ink blending, the ink seems to sit on top of the paper a bit longer, allowing you to move the ink around. To finish off this background I had to splatter it with water, my FAVORITE thing to do with Distress Oxide ink. And now I had the perfect scene for my Dragonfly.
I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to color in both my dragonflies. And what you can not see in the pictures is that I covered the wings and the eyes with a Wink of Stella clear shimmer pen.
Next up the Treat Box.
I loved coloring in this cute little guy so much I wanted to make a version of him that matched the ink blended background. It's so much fun to customize the dragonfly to go with your creation.
For the background on this box I stamped the cloud repeatedly over the entire box in Whip Cream ink. LOVE this cloud stamp! And then I used another clever image from the Dragonfly stamp set, the flight path image. It really adds to the playful feel of the Dragonfly.
That wraps up my two projects featuring the new Dragonfly stamp set by Inky Stamper. Be sure to click over to the Inky Stamper store to check out all the stamps and dies in this launch. And a great big CONGRATS to my friend Chelsea Comer for spreading her wings, reaching for the stars and making her dream a reality!
So, which dragonfly is your favorite? The more traditional colors or the bight and bold?

Introducing the June Stamp Set of the Month, my pick for the stamp and die set I will be showcasing for the month of June.
It's the Rawrsome stamp and die set by Lawn Fawn! For the month of June I thought a set that I could make masculine cards with was just the thing. Of course dinosaurs are for everyone, so I am going to have fun making cards and things for Dad and my girls too.
This is a versatile set even if i's a dinosaur set, you can make cards that do not have a dinosaur on them, like my card today.
This card is inspired by the Pixar short film, I Lava You.
It is my favorite! A story about how the Hawaiian Islands were formed by two love sick volcanoes who finally find each other. You can watch it on YouTube, HERE. Let me know if you needed a tissue!
So, after watching that I am sure you love it, I mean lava it too. And that is why my first card with this stamp set had to be a volcano card.
I had fun coloring in these cuties with my Copic Markers, I am some what of a newbie with Copics and I have to say I think I am making some headway and am pleased with how these turned out, after 3 practice ones that I did not use.
The blended ink background is Distress Oxide ink. I masked off the island and blended the sky and then reversed that and ink blended an island. For a one layer background for my volcanoes. Then I added a top layer, a window, so to speak. The Limeade Splash paper is embossed with the Fiddle Leaf embossing folder by Fun Stampers Journey. I love the tropical leaf feel of this folder. The oval, branches and flower dies are from the Modern Frame die set also by FSJ. For the branches I use Lemon Grass card stock, which is the same card stock I used for the card base. I also love the wave element in the window, giving the card a bit of a 3D feel.
You can watch the making of this card on my YouTube channel. While you are there be sure to subscribe and then click on the bell, then you will be notified every time I post a new video. I post a new video one or two time a week. AND, I am giving this card away. Just like and comment on the video on my YouTube channel and you will be entered to win it.
Thank you so much for watching, be sure to tune in to next week's video to see if you WON this card.

So excited for April, I have a spring in my step because Spring is in the air! Also, a new month means a new stamp set of the month! Each month I pick a stamp set that I love and feature it on my Facebook page each Monday night on a LIVE video, then Tuesday morning you will find the creation right here on the blog! Stay tuned next week for more exciting offerings with the stamp set of month of April!
So, what is the April Stamp set of the month??? Oh Gnome, I hope I am not leaving you in suspense!
I mean, how can you resist them??? Too cute, right! Gnomes, mushrooms and punny sayings! I am in! I wanted my first card to show two little gnomes in love. Maybe just married, maybe with their first new home, maybe an anniversary card, or a father's day card for a hubby, there are so many good occasions to give this card.
You may notice that cute mushroom house. It's a great die set you can use with the gnomes or own it's own, called Mushroom House. I only used a few dies from this set to keep it simple but you can really make a scene with this die set! And you can group that with the Mushroom border die set for more details in your scene. Which is the die set I used for my grassy hill.
I used Distress Oxide inks to make a green ombre panel to die cut my grass from. I love how the greens so seamlessly blend! I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. For the sky, I use Tumbled glass making the top of the card darker and let it fade to white as it got close to where the sky would meet the grass. Then I stamped the sentiment over the top of the sky in Salty Ocean ink. I use my MISTI so that I could get the two sentiment stamps straight and so that I could stamp it multiple time in the same spot on the card, to intensify the ink.
If you missed last nights video you can still view the making of this card here.
If you don't already click over to my Facebook page and LIKE it so that you can come watch me live next Monday night for another fun creation with these products.
Below you will find all the products linked that I used to make this card. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Stamping!
Not many people know this about me but I love all things vintage Coca-Cola! I have a little collection of things, that began when I was in high school. Once upon a time I had these things displayed in my kitchen. The funny thing is I don't really drink soda at all. But I love the colors, the lettering, and advertising of vintage Coca-Cola. It just makes me smile. So, today's card was a joy to make for me. It incorporates so many of my favorite things. Coca-Cola, shaker card and my love of lip balm creations.
I am in LOVE with the entire lip balm line of products from My Favorite Things! This is my third creation since getting the Lip Balm Window and Frame Die-namics set set and Lip Balm Shaker Frames. If you missed them be sure to check out my Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Fruit Loops cards.
For my glass of soda I created a blended background with Tea Stain and Ground Espresso Distress Oxide inks. The glass, straw and label on the cup are all from the Coffee First die set by FSJ. It's a versatile die set that is not just for coffee creations. And the shaker elements inside my glass are the Clear Bubbles Sequins by Honey Bee Stamps. It's so fun combining the products I have into one perfect creation.
One of my favorite parts of this card is how amazing the background stamp suits the front of this card. I used the Graduated Dots background stamp by FSJ to add some interest to the font of the card and it is like this stamp was made for Coca-Cola creations!
You can catch the making of this card on my latest YouTube video below.
Thank you for taking time to stop and visit my blog. I hope you're leaving inspired to create.

Welcome back to another FSJ Creative Team Blog Hop!
Today I am going to share with you a few projects made using the Gable Favor Box and some of the newly released stamp sets from the Follow Your Heart collection from FSJ.
These projects are all very different but have a few things in common, they are all made using the Gable Favor die and they all have a background made with Distress Oxide inks.
All these boxes can be used for Valentines treats/gifts or Galentines! Especially this first box, made with the Hey Girl stamp set.
This is the perfect gift box for a friend on Valentines Day! These boxes are very easy to put together. I love that they have a good size front panel to add something cute. And are big enough to hold a decent sized treat or gift.
I LOVE the background on this box, a technique that I learned by watching a video of Ashely Tucker's. Aren't the clouds so cute! If you keep reading to the bottom of this post I have a video of the making of all three of the boxes in today's post, as well as a list of all the supplies I used.
I colored this image in using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers on Bristol Smooth card stock.
The second box is for a dog lover, I designed it to have the feel of a dog house.
For this box I used the Valentine Pals stamp set by FSJ, also one of their new releases in the Follow Your Heart Collection. And I think it's my favorite! Look how cute that little doggie is! The background on this box was made by layering an ink blended background with a stamped layer over the top, but with a Distress Oxide twist.
I love that this box has a little interactive element to it. The door opens to reveal the sentiment.
The last box in this series is very unique, in that is combines a galaxy background the Real Gem stamp set. It was inspired by my daughter's love of the tv series Steven Universe. The characters in this show all have a gem attached to them and some of the characters are from other planets. So, this box is one I could gift to my girls and they would LOVE it. But I also feel like it works for any one who loves glam!
Isn't it pretty! This background was one of my favorites to make!
Speaking of back grounds, all the background panels for the front of the Gable Favor Boxes measure 3-1/8" x 3-1/4", so when mounted to the front of this box you have a nice border all the way around. This box is the only one I made where the background was mounted to another panel of card stock. That layer measures 3-1/4" x 3-3/8", just 1/8" bigger on both sides. I like to write these measurements down on the packaging I keep the die in, so that each time I pull that die out to use it, I have it and do not have to figure out that size again.
This background incorporates 4 colors of Distress Oxide inks, water, Whip Cream acrylic paint, and 5 colors of Silk. You will want to watch the video to see it being made.
I love the addition of the Trendy Gems with this design, it really makes the whole thing just come together.
Below you can watch each of the boxes come together and see how I made them, step by step.
In the video I show how to cut out this box using one piece of 8-1/2" x 11" piece of card stock on a large die cutting machine, if you have a standard machine you can also cut this box out with one piece of card stock. Just cut the card stock in half and cut it like described in the video, with the flap hanging off one side about 1/8" of an inch.
If you get lost along this hop or a link does not work for you, you can also find this blog hop on the FSJ blog HERE.
Thank you so much for stopping by, please leave a comment and let me know how you like the blog hop and the projects. Of course I am here to help if you have any questions. Below you will find links to all the products I used to make today's Gable Favor Boxes.
