In today's video I am collaborating with Steph Williams of Whirled of Papercraft.
She is a Cricut user, she love using her electronic cutter in her paper crafting projects. I am a Cameo Silhouette user and love using it in my paper crafting projects. So, we thought we'd challenge each other and see who does it best.
Steph picked out a digital cut file that is a Triangle Top Box. We are both going to use our electronic cutters to make a project with this box.
I purchased my cut file from the Silhouette Design Store. The file is called Tall Pyramid Top Box (#21144).
I decided to go with an Easter theme for my boxes.
I used a second cut file for my project, the Bunny. I love this shape so much, it is much like a die I use to have to make these adorable chocolate holders. You can find this digital file in the Silhouette Design Store by searching Bunny (#16784).

Hi Stampin' Friends!
Today at Stampin' Royalty our challenge is SPRING!
The possibilities are endless. Spring makes me think of little baby animals like, chicks, ducklings, lambs, and bunnies. So, I decided to turn one of my favorite crafts into bunnies.
These are corner book marks. Bunny Corner Book Marks.
They go on the corner of the pages of a book, to hold your place.
The base of the book mark is very easy to make, you only need a piece of 6" x 6" designer paper and a bone folder. I used the A Little Foxy Designer Paper Stack to make these bunnies. All the paper in this stack is 6" x 6", so I didn't even have to cut it.
And here is a video tutorial on how to make a corner book mark. In the video I show you how to make these book marks into owls. Keep reading and below I will share the tools I used to make them into bunnies.
Turn your Corner Book Mark into a bunny using these tools:
For the EARS:
Calypso Coral and Whisper White Card stock cut from the Layering Ovals Framelits. You could also use Oval Punches.
Sponge the Calypso Coral Oval with Calypso Coral ink.
For the EYES:
Whisper White and Basic Black card stock punched from the Owl Builder Punch. You could also used other small circle punches or dies.
Punch the largest circle from white card stock, the medium circle from black card stock, and the smallest circle from white card stock.
For the NOSE:
I used a small heart punch that is retired. You could use any heart punch or die or even a small oval turned on it's side.
I punched the heart from Smokey Slate card stock and sponged the edge with Smokey Slate ink.
For the CHEEKS:
I used a retired punch, the 7/8" scallop circle punch. Other options are a similar sized circle punch or die like the Layering Circles Dies.
For this bunny I used Calypso Coral card stock and sponged the edge with Calypso Coral ink.
For the WHISKERS:
I hand drew them in using the #1 Project Life journaling pen. A black marker will work too.
For the TEETH:
I used a small scrap of Whisper White card stock, cut it free hand into a small rectangle. Then using the same Project Life journaling pen, I drew in a thin black line.
Punch art is about using what tools you have on hand to make something cute.
And don't forget, Love is in the deTAILs. See how I added a small scallop circle to the back of the book mark for the bunny's tail?!

Todays cards are for SSINK's Mystery Challenge.
ACTUALLY, they are the cards I made for my kids for Easter, but they were inspired by the #SSINKMC31
The three elements from the challenge I chose are: Monochromatic, Baker's Twine, and Spring.
I love the Ombre look so I had to make two different color cards, just because it was so much fun. For the yellow card I used So Saffron, Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry card stocks for the fringe. Making nice even fringe is easy with Fringe Scissors. To make my chick polka dotted I stamped him on to a piece of Designer Paper from the Cherry On Top paper stack and cut out just his body. I also stamped the chick on the card then I was able to glue my polka dotted chick on top of the one stamped on the card, so that he had feet. If you love this chick you only have a few days to get him. He is part of the Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Honeycomb Happiness(#141291). You can get the set for free with a $50 Stampin' Up! order. For the little lamb card I used Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink (retired color) and Regal Rose (retired color). I used the two retired colors because I found the scraps in my scrap drawer and they were the perfect thing. The twine on this card is from a past Paper Pumpkin Kit and went perfectly with the colors. To tie in the gold thread in the twine I used of my new Bow Clips. The little lamb was quick and easy, I stamped him right on the card with Archival Basic Black ink and then used the Blushing Bride marker to color in his wool.
The hardest part of this projects was deciding which girl got which card! They loved the cards and were the first thing the girls ran to on Easter morning! I hope you had a Happy Easter and were able to spend it with your family. I was able to spend Easter with my family, but not in the typical way we normally do. My grandpa is in the hospital with kidney failure. My mom and I drove a few hours to be there around his bed with my grandma, my aunt, my dad and step mom. It's a matter of days and this world will be with out this kind, soft spoken cowboy. I left heavy hearted, wishing I could stay longer and cherishing my family even more. Time is fleeting, keep those you love close and make every moment count.

Today I am playing along with SSINK's Mystery Challenge #30.
The Mystery Challenge is one of my favorites, it's like a choose your own adventure book. You pick the items from the challenge list and create your project.
I decided to do a NON-card project (#1). I just got the Baker's Box Thinlits and really wanted to play with them.
I used three of the color options (#2): So Saffron, Blushing Bride and Cucumber Crush.
And I decided to make and Easter themed project (#6).

I had to share with you the cute little Easter treats I have been making. I have given them away at my classes as party favors and will be giving them away at my Easter Brunch as well.
This is a pretty easy little treat holder to make. It all starts with at 2" x11" strip of card stock. Scored at 5" and 6". Then punch both ends with one of Stampin' Up!'s tag topper punches. I used the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch here.
I also created an insert for the inside to hold the bunny. It is just a 1" x 6-1/4" strip of card stock, scored at 1", 3", 4', 6", and glue that to form a square. Glue this piece inside your long tag strip.
I put a little paper Easter grass down in side and then decorated it up, including a little window for the bunny to peek out of with a circle punch.
I hope you have a very Happy Easter and enjoy some time with family remembering the real gift of this holiday.

Today I am sharing with you some cute things I made using the For Peeps' Sake stamp set. I made these for an Easter Exchange I did with the gals at SSINK.
The ensemble includes a set of note cards with the images stamped with Yellow Citrus Chalk ink on Chalkboard paper. The background on all of the cards is the Sheer Perfection Vellum Stack that was part of our Sale-A-Bration collection (no longer available). I colored this printed vellum from the back with markers, the result is so pretty.
The second piece in my ensemble is a little basket made with the Fry Box. I just added a strip of card stock for the handle.
And lastly I made a little treat bag with a mini topper.
And inside are my favorite Cadbury Mini Eggs!

Hello Stampin' Friends!
This weekend I had so much fun! On Saturday the group of demonstrators I am a part of had a shoe box swap. A SBS is where each person plans a card or project, cuts all the paper for each person to make that project and brings and the necessary supplies to make their project. Then we all sit together and make each others cards. The idea is that each project would fit in a shoe box. We like to make a day of it and have a potluck lunch. It's super fun!
Today I wanted to share one of the projects that I made at the SBS, my friend Cathy brought this card.
The actually card that Cathy brought was a white bunny. I did not get her card done at the class, as I may chat too much. So I brought the kit home and made it Sunday morning with my girls, punching more pieces and I decided to make a pink and brown bunny card.
Here is how the card opens. You can see the base of the card is two hearts.
Here's what you need to make this card:
Face = two heart die cut with the largest hearts from the Hearts Collection Framelits, score the back heart at 2" so the card opens nicely.
Ears = two ovals die cut with the smallest oval from the Ovals collection Framelits for the outside of the ear, two ovals punched from the Large Oval punch for the inside of the ear
Eyes = two circles punched from the 1" circle punch for the outside of the eyes, two circles punch from the 3/4" circle punch for the inside of the eyes
Nose = for the nose I have die cut the smallest heart from the Hearts Collection Framelits or you can have a smaller nose and use the Small Heart Punch.
Cheeks = two scallop circles punched with the 3/8" Scallop Circle punch
Teeth = cut a 1" square and snip out a tiny long triangle from the middle
Whiskers = drawn on with a Basic Black Marker
Bow = Any ribbon you like tied into a small bow and mounted with a glue dot on the point of the heart.
NOTES:
1. Sponge the edges of all the pieces in the same color of ink, if you are making a white bunny then use Smokey Slate ink for the white pieces.
2. Adhere all the pieces before attaching the back piece.
3. The cheeks at adhered with dimensionals.

This morning we had a play date scheduled and it did not work out due to a sick friend. SAD. No worries, Mom saved the day with some Easter Crafts.
These are two of the projects we did at my Easter Ensemble Class alsos available in my Easter Ensemble tutorial. We had lots of fun!
We also made Easter Baskets!
I made the green one in the back, my four year old made the pink basket and my eight year old made the blue basket. They did a really good job, doing most of the work themselves with a little help from me along the way.
I love Spring Break, when you homeschool, Spring Break is more for Mom than the kids!!! Can it be two weeks, PLEASE!!!

This Chocolate Bunny is the perfect stamp for my diet, I get to have my chocolate and stamp it too!
Check out this cute easter card that I demonstrated at my workshop on Saturday, it was inspired by a card that Becky Roberts made:
I love this card. It's one of those that I might just have to mail my self for Easter! Do you see the cloud background? It is made with a stencil that I created. I did not like the look I was getting by using the scallop punches, so I made my own stencil. If you are interested in it, just email me and I will send it to you in a pdf, you can print it out, cut it out and start making your own cloud scenes!
Now, I have to show you my favorite way to stamp this bunny...
Ink it up with Chocolate Chip Craft ink, stamp it on Close to Cocoa card stock and emboss it with clear powder, I find this gives it the most realistic CHOCOLATE look! So, real, you might have to resist taking a bite! Which leads me to my second card!!!
FUNNY, huh! I saw this last Easter on a t-shirt and thought it was so funny, so when I got my Chocolate Bunny stamp I knew I had to make this card! I think it would be the perfect Easter card for a man. As you can see I used my cloud stencil here too, don't forget to email me if you want a copy of my cloud stencil. I typed up the words on the computer and printed them out on Whisper White card stock. Then I drew the cloud around them with a journaling marker and cut around that. NOW, let me tell you about my struggles with this card! I needed the bunnies to be facing each other, which meant that I was going to have to make a reverse image...
What I really wanted to do was to ink the bunny, stamp it on a solid piece of rubber and then stamp that, but I did not have a big enough piece of plain rubber or solid stamp to do this. So, I tried brayering the bunny and then rolling that onto my close to cocoa card stock, but it was too light. Then I tried stamping it on to an acrylic block, again it came out too light. Next I tried my silicone rubber sheet that is used with the big shot for the impressions plates, too light. Then, I tried a window sheet, too light. With all these techniques I used craft and classic inks. Ugh! So, finally I switched my card stock to WHISPER WHITE and was able to get the bunny you see on the right using Chocolate Chip craft ink and my brayer.
So, this is what works to create a reverse image of the Chocolate bunny...
Ink the Chocolate bunny stamp with Chocolate Chip craft ink
Run your brayer over it one time
Roll the brayer on to a piece of Whisper White card stock
Now you have a reverse image of the Chocolate bunny.
If you find something that works better please let me know I would have liked it to come out darker and on Close to Cocoa card stock!
I used the scallop oval punch to take the bit out of both bunnies and sponged the bit to make it pop a little with Chocolate Chip classic ink.
Even if it is lighter it works, I guess one could be dark chocolate and the other is milk chocolate, variety is good!
