Shake Shake Shake

When I saw the new shaker mixes by Heffy Doodle I thought they were beautiful and I could not wait to put them in a shaker card. So, today I am sharing three cards I made with 3 of the new mixes. First let's take a close up look at the mixes I used. 

These mixes are a blend of different color of sequins. Also different sizes of sequins. The three mixes are; Pink Fizz, Pixie Hollow, and Unicorn Dreams. 

And here are the cards made with these mixes. The stamp set I chose for these cards is Koality Hugs. There are so many cute Koala bears in this set that it was easy to create three cards with this set.

Now let's take a close up look at each card. 

Card One - Pink Fizz Sparkle Mix

The background for this card was stenciled with the Wonderful Window Masquerade stencil and Salt Water Taffy Distress Ink. There are sequins in this mix that are that color as well as some other shades of pink.

I was able to stamp and emboss my sentiment onto the window of this card because I used heat resistant window sheets.

Besides the adorable hugging koalas sitting on the branch I wanted another element to dress up the front of this card and so I pulled out my Forest Leaves die set and some glitter paper. Adding these to the corners of the card really helped to draw the eye into the center of the card.

CARD TWO

Such a sweet sleepy koala, love this image so much. I added a party hat to him, since he is like me ready to have fun but also ready to go to bed early. LOL. 

This back grounds was super easy to use with the help of the Vertical Vines stencil and some Distress Oxide spray! The fun thing about making a sprayed background with a stencil is that the spray collects on top of the stencil and you can press a piece of paper on to that and make a second background with our anymore work! I will use that second background on card three. 

The leaves on this card are die cut from glittery fun foam, designed by Spellbinders for die cutting! It's great and does not shed glitter! I've linked it for you below along with the other supplies I used. 

I just love the green and purple together on this card, all inspired by the Pixie Hollow sequin mix. 

CARD THREE

Here is the background made from pressing my paper on to the stencil after using Distress Spray on it. You can see it has white vines with green around them. This time I used patterned paper for the leaves around the frame of the card. This print is from the Wild Flowers paper pack. The enamel dots I used on the centers of the flowers are a matching pack to the Wild Flowers paper. The edition of the flowers to the base of the leaves is so fun, a great touch. 

I love that with one stamp set I could use different Koalas on each card and a different sentiment. A stamp set with versatility like that is my favorite!

Heffy Doodle and Trinity Stamps Collaboration Hop

Hello there!  I am thrilled today to be participating in the Heffy Doodle and Trinity Stamps HOP!  I am on the design team for both companies and just love their products! So making something that mashes up products from both makes me giddy!!!

Design Team members from both companies are sharing inspiration using products from both companies, and that means a lot of cute inspiration for you! 

For this card I used the Udderly Fabulous stamp set from Heffy Doodle and the Island Cocktail set from Trinity Stamps. I also broke out a bunch of dies from both companies to make this strawberry milk themed shaker card. 

My youngest daughter is very much into the strawberry cow trend, and anything strawberry for that matter. Here is a picture of her strawberry cow with my card.

This card is a shaker. The shaker bits are clay strawberries from Trinity Stamps. The shaker bit are actually hidden behind the grass until you shake up the card. I chose my color palette for this card from all things strawberry cow. Google that and see all the cuteness that pops up! 

To frame my shaker card I used a slimline envelope die set from TS, which is currently on sale in there shop and is linked for you below. I love a scallop frame and so it is one of my favorite dies from Trinity. Other dies I used from TS are the grassy hill, its from the Slimline Scenic Borders die set. 

The puffy clouds are a nice little die set from Heffy Doodle that have four different sized clouds with stitched edges. I also used the Leafy Laurel die for my white flowers. The yellow centers are from the Summer Holiday Enamel Dots also from HD.  You can see how nicely the products from both of the companies go together. I love a good mash up!

This new release has to be one of my most favorite! Such cute new image and fun new die sets! For my card I am using Farmyard Fun Stamps and the Stitched Birthday Trio A2 Frame die. I thought it would be fun to make a John Deere inspired shaker card. 

The Stitched Birthday Trio die set really has so many options on which parts you are going to use and how and I just love that about this die set. I chose to use the frame and the negative pieces from die cutting the "happy bday to you". I put all the pieces together to make the front of my shaker card. 

I filled my shaker with some red clay hearts for some nice contrast with the yellow and green. Knowing I was using these red hearts I made sure that my stamped images reflected this color for cohesiveness. 

Isn't that tractor so cute!  The heart detail in this set that you can add to the exhaust pipe makes me smile! And it was the the inspiration for putting hearts in this shaker card.

Heffy Doodle + Time For Tea Collaboration Hop

WELCOME to the Heffy Doodle + Time for Tea Collaboration Blog Hop!

I am very excited about this month's collaboration hop with Heffy Doodle!  This month we are collaboration with Time For Tea, another of my favorite stamping companies. They have a similar style to Heffy Doodle, so this is going to be a very fun mash up and hop.

Design Team members from both companies are sharing inspiration using products from both companies! You are going to love all the cute designs and inspiration!

Okay, let's take a look at the card I made for this collaboration, using stamps and dies from both companies.

It's a slimline shaker card, if you know me, then you are not surprised, as I LOVE slimline card and shakers are my favorite kind of card to make! 

So much fun going on in this card, you can see it come together in the video below.

The die I used for the shaker window, Skies The Limit, is such a cool slimline die. I knew when I first saw it that I wanted to make a shaker card. But I also want to do and inlaid technique with this die, watch for that in a later post! For this card, I die cut the Skies the Limit die from white card stock and made an ink blended background to go behind it. I just love the look. For my shaker elements I used some raindrop shaped sequin like confetti from Trinity Stamps. When you have clouds, sun and rain, you are going to get a rainbow right! To help the rain confetti pieces move around a little better I added a little bit of micro beads. And I have to say my secret ingredient when making a shaker card has to be the foam tape from Heffy Doodle. It is nice and thick and does not have a sticky edge! In my humble opinion, it is the best! 

The scene on this card is a combination of stamps and dies from Time for Tea and Heffy Doodle. Let's break it down. 

The cafe and critters images are from a new stamp set from Time for Tea, Cafe Critters. I fell in love with it right away, seeing how critters and food are some of my favorite stamps to play with. I used a slimline border die set, Slimline Scenery, from Heffy Doodle to create the sidewalk. The trees are also from a Heffy Doodle die set, Forest Builder, I felt they really helped to set the scene and bring out some green from the rainbow background. I knew I wanted a sun in my scene so I searched through my Heffy Doodle stash and found the perfect little sun in the Flying High stamp set. I wanted to make this card a cheery get well card  tell in a friend that when they are feeling better we could get together again, maybe for a coffee, like in the scene. The die cut get well sentiment is one of several die cut sentiments in the Heffy Doodle collection. There is even Get Well Sentiments to go with this die cut and I used one that says, "so sorry your under the weather" on the inside of this card. 

I had so much fun making this card and love to combine new stamp with things I already have in my stash. I know you are going to love this hop and seeing the creations of the rest of the designers. Below you will find all the info on the GIVEAWAYS, be sure to comment and enter.

The Highlander Cow moves to the Country

Howdy Y'all!  Today's share is a couple of cards that took on a country vibe and I just went with it!  

I am using the Highland Honeys stamp set from Heffy Doodle, a family owned stamp company from Scotland. The Highland Cow (furry cows) are from there. But when I started coloring this little guy he clearly wanted to see what the wild Wild West was all about. I did not mean to make a couple of country themed cards but that's the direction it started to take and I just went for it. 

Below you can watch these cards come together. I did some masking to make the scenes, no line coloring for a more story book look and a bit of fun with distress products for the backgrounds.

Here's a close up look at each of these cards. 

Both of these cards use the Woodgrain Texture Die for the background. This die leaves behind stitched lines of woodgrain. I LOVE IT. 

For this background I accented the stitched lines using a Distress Crayon, Crooked Broomstick. I love how the Mica in this crayon subtly highlights the stitched lines. 

For the images I did some no line coloring with my Copic Markers. I thought a softer more storybook feel would be a great look for these cards. 

The background of this card started out with Vellum. I used 3 different colors of Distress Oxide ink and just drug the pad across the back of the vellum to get a faux wood grain look. I backed it onto a piece of Kraft cardstock. And here you can see I dress up the corners with EYELETS. I have not used eyelets on a card for at least 100 years!!! I even love the one that got smashed, gives it more of that rustic look. 

I am pretty sure this Highland Cow is LOVING the country and all the field of grain.  I live in Idaho and just around the corner from where I live is a little farm that has three of these cows and that might be what inspired these cards. As I so love seeing them when I drive by.

Heffy Doodle and The Greeting Farm Collaboration Blog Hop

Hey there stamping friends! Welcome to a fun collaboration hop with Heffy Doodle and The Greeting Farm! 

Design Team members from both companies are sharing inspiration using products from both companies!

I LOVE a mash up, mixing and mashing products from different companies to make one project. And it allows me to try out products from other stamp companies that I may have yet to use. In this case The Greeting Farm. This was my first time playing with their products. I chose two stamp sets that both have fairies in them. I thought these two sets; Little Fairies and With Love stamp set. Another thing I love about The Greeting Farm is that they have digital images. I did get a digital stamp set from the shop, but did not end up using it on this card, it is the Fairyland Digi Set.

If you already follow me you know that I am on the design team for Heffy Doodle and already love their products. Here are the Heffy Doodle things I used to make today's card; Big Shadow Box die set, Let's Polka Stencil, Slimline Scenery Dies, Big Stitched Cloud dies, Flying High stamp set.

I started by using the Big Shadow Box Die set to make my card. I brought in the Slimline Scenery dies to die cut the "bridge" pieces that go inside the shadow box. This was the perfect setting for my sky fairies. For the background of my shadow box, I pulled out the Heffy Doodle stencil, Let's Polka and used Auqualicious link from Altenew.

The die cut cloud you see in the front of the box actually comes with the Big Shadow Box die set. I also stamped a couple clouds to fill in the scene, both are from the Flying High stamp set, as well as the sunshine image.  The rest of the stamped images are from The Greeting Farm stamp sets. 

These fairies are just so super sweet! I love their hair and sweet faces. The fairy with the blue hair has been suspended on a piece of window sheet. That makes her look like she is just flitting about like a fairy does. 

I used the little baby fairies from the With Love stamp set for the sides of the boxes. And since these fairies have yet to hear their wings they are hanging out on die cut clouds from the Big Stitched Clouds die set. 

Both of the sentiments on the sides of the card are also from the With Love stamp set. 

On the back of the card I added a large die cut hello from The Greeting Farm. Both companies have some great stand alone greeting dies. I also left a blank spot to add a personalized message when I give this card. 

Shadow Box cards are so much fun to make! And make for something cute that the recipient can display.

Shadow Box Shaker Card

Hey there stamping friends. You might already know that I love a shadow box card. I recently purchased the Heffy Doodle Big Shadow Box die set because it is a different size than the other two that I have. This shadow box card is the size of an A2 card when it is laying flat. Another LOVE of mine is shaker cards, so why not combine these two favorite things into one?  And then you have a Shadow Box Shaker Card! 

I love that you can make a 3D scene with a shaker card, and a squirrel jumping into a pile of leaves to fetch an acorn, that makes for a fun fall scene for this box.

To create the shaker on this card you need to make a shaker box out of two pieces of window sheet. The window sheet size need for this card is 4-1/8" x 3-3/8", cut two of these. Then add very thin foam strips around the outer edge of one window sheet, making sure the end touch so that none of the shaker elements can escape. Once you have the shaker elements on the window sheet, remove the backing from the foam strips and add the second window sheet. This is what you are going to add to the back of the window of the shaker box. You just want to make sure you follow the steps in the video as to when to adhere down what so that the box goes together correctly. 

Once you know how to do this you can then decorate you shadow box as you like. I chose to use the Nuts About You stamp set. We have a lot of squirrels in Idaho and they are so busy right now getting all set up for winter, so this card was such a fun card to make.

I used a few new woodland themed products from Heffy Doodle as well on this card. 

For my background I used the Falling Leave Stencil and a few Distress Oxide sprays; Barn Door, Carved Pumpkin, and Mustard Seed. I did this on some very light blue card stock for a feel of the sky. I used this on the out side of the card as well. 

You can see on these side panels that I added a bit of texture to them with the Woodland Texture Background die. LOVING that die so much! 

I added lots of leaves to this card as well. I die cut the Forest Leaves from water color card stock that I sprayed with the same Distress Oxide Sprays as I did for the stenciled background as well as Rusty Hinge. I used this same sprayed paper to die cut tiny leaves from the Tree-Mendous Peek a Boo die set for my shaker elements. 

The tree on the front of the card is also from the Tree-Mendous Peek A Boo die set, I love how it frames this card and give me a place to hand the bird feeder.

My favorite part of this card has to be the squirrel who is jumping into the leaves. I added him with a skinny strip of window sheet that is attached to the bridge of leaves with a glue dot and then to the back of the squirrel with a glue dot. This makes him appear as if he is actually jumping in to the leaves. What a fun fall card this was to make. I hope that you have a moment to watch the video and see it all come together.

Heffy Doodle New Release Inspiration Blog Hop

I love this fun scene with a big Hot Air Balloon! We have a lot of Hot Air Balloons that frequent our area, so I see them on a regular basis and it always makes me so happy! 

This card started with a rainbow background created with the Cloudy Skies stencil and the following Distress Oxide inks; Kitsch Flamingo, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Salvaged Patina, and Wilted Violet. My background is 4-3/4" x 6-3/4" to fit on my A7 sized card (5" x 7"). 

Then I created my hot air balloon using the new die set by the same name. It has all the pieces to create this adorable balloon that is big enough to cover an A2 sized card.  To give my balloon a bit of interest I used the new Hey Polka Stencil to add the polka dots.

Riding in my balloon is the darling pig from the Bed Heads stamp set. This stamp set has all the images you need to build a bedroom scene for a sick critter. Here you can see another card I made using this set. 

Not only is this a shadow box card but it is also a shaker card. I love that you can see in the window, like it is a bedroom window. Poor piggy! 

Back to the balloon card, which has a pop up surprise element on it, using the new Mini Double Slider Die set. Make sure to watch the video to see this die set in action and how it works to pop up my little bear, like he's floating up out of the clouds.

Sending Happy Mail

Hi there, how are all my crafty friends? Today I am sharing a card I made using Heffy Doodle products. Heffy Doodle has fast become one of my faves. They have really cute stamps and some great dies. Among those great dies are several slimlines that I just adore. I am going to use three different slimline die sets on today's card. The star of which has to be the Little Town Border die.

I love simple die sets like this one that can be paired with images that I already have and bring them new life. The Little Town Border die set is one of those sets and makes a great backdrop for so many cute scenes.

For my scene I wanted to have a delivery truck rolling by delivering happy mail.

This speedy delivery truck is out working hard delivery packages and happy mail in this little town. And when you move the card the truck slides to the other side for a fun interactive element.

I started off this card creating the background, which is the pink cloudy sky. This panel was cut using the smallest stitched rectangle from the Stitched Slimline Trio die set.  I added the clouds to this white panel using Kitch Flamingo Distress Oxide ink and the Cloudy Skies Stencil. I cut my stencil apart so instead of inserting my smaller card into the stencil I can use the pieces on any size card. I only did one row of clouds and then I softened the white area under the clouds with the left over ink on my blending tool. I then added a bit of sparkle by splattering on some Perfect Pearls. I set that aside to dry and die cut a second rectangle with the same stitched die that I then die cut using the Little Town Border die from white card stock. To get the green grass covered up each house and tree using Heffy Tape. Then I added Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink to make the grass this minty shade of green. I splattered this with water and also Perfect Pearls. After removing the Heffy Tape I then colored in the houses and tree with E33 and E35 COPIC Markers.  Then it was time to die cut the opening for the slider, which I did using the largest die from the Straight Sliders Die set. I made sure to save the piece that die cuts out, to add back in, so when all finished the area behind the slider is not pink or white from the background, but green to match the grass.

The Little Town Border  die set comes with extra dies that cut out roof tops, pieces to go behind the houses for the lights and tree tops. I die cut the roof tops from dark brown card stock, the behind pieces from a light yellow card stock and the tree tops from a scrap piece of card stock that I ink blended with the Cracked Pistachio ink, so they would match the grass.  Then it was time to get my truck ready. This cute little truck is from the Home Sweet Home stamp set, which is a great stamp set for someone who is moving or just moved in. I used to make card for a new home owner that resembled the “Up” house, you can check that out right here if you like. I colored in this delivery truck to look like one that frequents my house that is also brown and yellow.  The tiny die cut hearts on the truck and above the houses are from the same die set that the postage looking panel is from; Slimline Mini Mail die set. I love the postage stamp feel of that die cut! And you can always use a tiny die cut heart! They were such a cute touch for this card.

I had some little clay elements that are envelopes that I thought would be fun to have behind the truck, like the blew out. Although, the thought of lost mail does make me very sad. And I have to say thank you to Amanda from Twiddler's Nook who sent me these clay element along with a some other fun things I won in a giveaway! 

If you have never made a slider before it is easier than it seems. To get the truck to move along the track you put a penny behind the track a strip of foam tape on the penny and stick the truck (or sliding image) to the foam tape. To make my truck a bit sturdier I added two additional die cuts to the back of it, but this is not necessary. It is also helpful to use an anti-static powder on the track incase your foam tape has any residual stickiness on the edges. And the sliding panel needs to be attached to the card with foam tape, giving the space needed for the penny to slide. Take care when applying the foam tape, so that it doe not get too close to the penny and stop it from sliding.

I added a cute little sentiment from the Whatcha Sayin’ stamp and die set. I love talk bubbles and this was the perfect sentiment for my card.

To finish off this card I mounted it to a dark pink card base that is 8-1/2″ x 7″, scored at 3″.

Adding the WOW factor to Quick and Easy Cards

Hello my stamping friends! Today I am pulling some of my new Heffy Doodle things to make some quick and easy birthday cards. But I like my quick and easy cards to have a bit of a WOW to them. So, I am going to share with you the things I did to keep these cards quick and easy and yet give them an element that makes them special at the same time.

Now let's look at each of these cards, similar but with slight changes. 

This card came together quickly and is easy to reproduce. To make this quick and easy card special I started with an element with a lot of visual interest, the stenciled background. The slight rainbow of the whimsical font is fun to look at. Then by cutting this background out with a rounded rectangle it adds to the interest of that piece. 

Layering up the Pebble Sentiments with a scalloped layer is another element that takes these solid sentiments up a notch. 

But to really dress up a quick and easy card the element of BLING always gives you the most bang for your buck!  I used three different shades of glitter paper to mat my stenciled background on. And to finish it off I added a few gems stones. I love the bright cheery feel of this card! 

The second card started out a a throwaway. I am sure this has happened to you too. You start a card and one element does not come out how you hoped, but you know if you redo it you will like it better. This stenciled background was just that thing. I did not like how the orange stenciled section turned out, it seems a bit muddy, like there was residual ink left on my blending brush. So I started over and did the previous card I showed you. When that was all done I picked up this discarded background and thought it actually did not look that bad. I don't like to waste things like this and I had already glued it to the glitter paper so I decided a second card using this base was the thing to do. I wanted it to be the same card, with a few changes. 

The first changes is that I stamped the Pebble Sentiments in darker colors of ink than I used for the stenciling. In the first card the words Happy  Birthday are very light, using a darker ink really made them pop. 

Second, I mounted these to die cut scallop layers cut from glitter paper. I loved how it all turned out. And the yellow Happy Birthday is easy to read so I did not add the Wavy Banner sentiment like I did on the first card. 

So happy to have two more fun and cheery cards in my stash.

Sliding Birthday Card

Hello there my stamping friends. Lately I have been trying to build up my birthday card stash. It seemed I was getting low and just need more variety. I also have family members who like to come and shop my stash, so having plenty with variety is good. 

When creating this birthday card I wanted to give it an element of surprise. The Popping By stamp set from Heffy Doodle is a fun set to do interactive elements with. I thought I was going to use a slider to have the fox pop up out of the cake, but the dimensions were not right. So I decided to use the balloons from the same stamp set and have it appear to be lifting my sentiment up  with the use of a slider.

I started this card with the Balloon Room stencil and some Distress Oxide Sprays; Seedless Preserves, Worn Lipstick, and Salty Ocean. I love the soft feel of the overlapping balloons which makes them appear to be more in the distance. 

To make my sentiment appear to float up I used the Straight Slider Die set. So when you tilt the card, the sentiment looks like the balloons are floating away with it. 

Look how darling that fox is popping up out of the cake with a bit of icing on his head! 

Take a closer look at the die cut Happy Birthday sentiment, I die cut it from a piece of card stock that I used to pick up the excess spray from off of the stencil that I used to make the balloon background. It was a very crazy looking piece of card stock with bits of the spray everywhere, but it make a great piece to die cut this sentiment from. 

I was happy with the little element of surprise on the outside of this card, a slider is easy and so much fun. But I wanted a little something on the inside of the card too. So I added some more stamped images to dress that up. 

I love it when a bit of the scene spills over to the inside of the card.

We are all creating using products from both companies on one card!  I love a mash up and have come up with a cute slimline card, if I don't say so myself. I will be using Heffy Doddle dies and Gerda Steiner images for my Mice Tea Party Slimline Card.

Now let's take a close up look at my slimline Mice Tea Party card. 

The images I used from Gerda Steiner are the Positivi-Tea Clear Stamp set and a few digital images to go with. The digital stamp are; Mouse with Drink (seen on the left side of my card), Sweet Tooth Mouse (seen on the right side of my card), and Mouse in Cup (used on the inside of the card). I love that the little mouse I fell in love with from the Positive-Tea stamp set has friends that I can download and use with him. I had so much fun coloring out this scene with these darling tea drinking mice!  The fun border around this card was made using the Sweet Scalloped Slimline Die set from Heffy Doodle, I nested two scalloped frames together to make this fun frame. 

Another product that I used from Heffy Doodle is the Broad Strokes Stencil for my background. I used Coral Berry ink from Altenew and stenciled on to pink paper. I think it is such a fun backdrop for my thirsty mice. I think these mice are darling, to color them up I used Warm Gray Copic Markers; W4, W2, W0. With a touch of R20 for their cheeks and ears. 

To give the effect of sugar in the bowl I used some Diamond Stickles. It turned out so cute and ties into the glitter sentiment, which sounds like you are giving someone a BIG kiss. This die cut sentiment is also from the Sweet Scalloped Slimline Die set that made the border/frame on this card. It's one of several new slimline die sets from Heffy Doodle. The banner to stamp my sentiment on is a die in the Mini Essentials Heffy Doodle die set, it fit my sentiment perfectly! 

I used a polkadot patterned paper from my stash to make an envelope using the new Slimline Envelope die from Heffy Doodle. 

I also added another digital stamp on the inside to finish off this card, Mouse in Cup. Isn't he so cute! I hope you like today's card, it was so much fun to make.

Prehistoric Slimline Pull Tab Card

Hey there stamping friends. Today I am playing with one of my favorite Heffy Doodle stamp sets, Prehistoric Pals. And I am making my favorite sized card, a slimline. I love interactive cards, so why not make this one interactive!?!

I love watching the Flintstones growing up and when I saw this stamp set, it brought back the happy childhood memories of that show. This card was inspired by those memories. Mr. Stoney (as I call him) is coming home from work in his car to his wife and pet dinosaur.  And when you pull the tab.....

The car moves!  I love that Heffy Doodle has a slimline pull tab die set, the pieces is the die set are perfectly sized for making my favorite sized cards into interactive cards. 

But I think my favorite thing about his card is the volcanic sky! 

I used 3 colors of Distress oxide ink, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, and Candied Apple. I started out using the Cloudy Sky stencil. And added layers of splatter over that using Distress Oxide Sprays. 

The gray hills also got a spritz with Black Soot Distress Oxide spray to give them some texture. 

For my sentiment I stamped; "have a mammoth day" so I added the cute mammoth to the inside of the card. 

I just love having little surprises in my cards, like interactive elements and cute little images on the inside too.

Heffy Doodle + Pink and Main Collaboration Hop

Hello there. You all know I love a collaboration and today's is super fun. The design teams of Pink & Main and Heffy Doodle have come together for a hop where we are all going to mash up products from each company and bring you some fun crafty projects. And of course some prizes too! 

For my projects I am using dies from Pink & Main and stamps from Heffy Doodle. The result are some fun purple easter cards. You can see the products in action and these cards come together in the video below:

The dies I used from Pink & Main are the Plaid Slimline Die and the Sunburst Slimline die. I love slimline cards and so these unique slimline cover plate dies were calling my name. 

And from Heffy Doodle I used the stamp and die set; Honey Bunny Boo. 

This first card uses the plaid die, die cut from a lavender card stock and layered over a purple piece of card stock that measures 8-1/2" x 3-1/2". 

I stamped and die cut out almost all of the images from the Honey Bunny Boo stamp set. I colored them with Copic Markers and die cut them out with the coordinating dies. I did this twice, since I am making two cards. 

I wanted something to ground my images and decided to create this sentiment strip that says; Hello Bunny You're Eggstra special to me. And then I added the eggs, carrots and bunnies on top of that. I love that the standing bunny can hold something in it's hand easily as the die cuts around it for me. 

To complete the card I added some All Occassion Enamel dots from Pink & Main. 

Once I had decided on the lay out and design of this card it was easy to make a second card, with just a few tweaks. 

For this card I die cut the Sunburst Slimline die from both Lavender and Purple card stock.  I used the purple frame and inlaid the lavender shapes right onto my card base. Both of these slimline dies measure 8-1/2" x 3-1/2". 

I changed up the sentiment for this card. I love this sentiment; Happy Easter to you and your family. 

I also changed up the placement of my stamped images a bit. I love both cards and have some special people I will be sending them to.

Slimline Window Card with Dinky Dinos

Hello my stamping friends today I'm sharing some of my favorite things from Heffy Doodle. One of those things is the Dinky Dino stamp set. 

For some reason little stamp sets make me so happy. This stamp set is so cute with two baby dinosaurs in it, one coming out of an egg and the other standing. 

I thought it would be fun to make a slimline card with this set using the Stitched Slimline Trio Die set, it has a die that creates 3 square openings on a slimline panel. Perfect for making 3 mini scenes with mini stamps. I brought in two other stamp set to complete the scenes, Dino Time and Geology Rocks. I will have all of these things listed and linked for you below.

The thing that makes this card so cool, in my humble opinion is the background. Let me tell you how I did it. I just ink blended on some Kitsch Flamingo ink on to white paper. I then splattered the ink with water from a Distress Sprayer. Then I splattered on Silk in the colors Bubble Gum and Electric Lime. I love the ethereal look it gives the background. 

I love making mini scenes, so I stamped out images to fill each of the three squares made using the Stitched Slimline Trio die set. But I felt the this front panel was a little too plain, so I stamped the "Dino-mite" sentiment over the entire card front with Coral Berry ink from Altenew. 

I added to each of the mini scene some die cut leaves using the Amazonian Leaves die set cut from Kiwi Crush card stock. Isn't that baby dinosaur so precious, looking up at the Mama Dino?  She is from the Dino Time stamp set. 

The other baby Dino from this set is in the top square on this card, and he has just hatched. In the center of the card I added my sentiment and a volcano from the Geology Rocks stamp set. 

I popped up the frame on this card for added dimension. It would make a GREAT shaker card, but if you don't want to do that extra work, this card looks great as a window card too. 

To complete this card I embellished it with some enamel dots from my stash that had pinks and greens in it. And I stamped a couple Dinos on the inside too.
