Have you had a chance to play with PanPastels before? If not, let me tell you a little bit about them.
"PanPastel Colors are professional artists' quality soft pastel colors in a unique pan format (cake-like). The special qualities of Pan Pastel Colors mean that artists can blend and apply pastel (dry) color like paint for the first time. They are made using a unique manufacturing process resulting in rich, ultra soft and super-bendable colors. Each color is loaded with the finest quality artists' pigments for the most concentrated colors possible. The colors have excellent lightfastness and are fully erasable." This is taken directly off the packaging of PanPastels.
Fun Stampers Journey has partnered with them to have a collection of PanPastels that match their colors. And they are so much fun to create with. Today's card features the Party Pop PanPastels as well as the Hit the Road stamp set which happens to be June's Stamp Set of the Month.
Here's how I used PanPastels to make this background.
- Stamp images with Clear Pigment Ink on Whip Cream card stock.
- Pick up a small (2 swipes) of PanPastel and rub on to this stamped background. The PanPastel will stick to the stamped image and color the card stock around it.
- Repeat this with as many colors as you like, blending them at the edges. I started with the Yellow, then Blue then Red.
- Lightly stamp the Canvas Prints background stamp over the top with Beach Ball ink.
- Spray background with Shimmer Silver Splash.
- Splatter Black Licorice Silk over the top.
If you like to see how I made this card you can view the Facebook Live video below.
Remember if you purchase the Stamp Set of the Month at my online store then you will receive a card kit in the mail from me to make your very first card ON ME!
I added one more element to this card after the video was over. I covered the entire truck with Journey Glaze to give it some shine.
Here you can see what the card looks like with the gift card behind the truck. I love that when you remove the gift card you still have a cool card. Remember, just put your small foam squares around sides and bottom of the truck so that the gift card will fit.
Thank you for stopping by, if you have any questions on the PanPastels please let me know. I am here to help with all your paper crafting needs.
