3 Mini Slimline Card with Special Delivery

Welcome back to my blog, thank you for stopping by. Today I am sharing Episode 4 of my Special Delivery Stamp Set of the Month series. 

In this Episode I am diving in to Mini Slimline cards. I will talk about sizes, share some die sets for this fun size and make three cards all with the Special Delivery stamp set by Lawn Fawn.

Generally speaking a mini Slimline card is 6" x 6" scored at 3" resulting in a 6" x 3" card. However, much like it's big sister (the Slimline card), Mini Slimline cards can differ slightly in size. One that I am sharing today is 5-3/4" x 3-1/8", based on Mini Slimline dies from Kat Scrappiness.

Let's take a look at each card and below the card I will list the Mini Slimline dies used for that card. 

This mini slimline card is an interactive card and uses the Waving Pull Tab die set, so when you pull the tab up the birds wings move. It is so fun to make this owl look like she is flying. 

Look at that baby owl in the box! I love this Box add on stamp and die set that goes with Special Delivery. There are so many fun things you could put in that box!

Next up is a shaker card. 

I couldn't decide is the birdhouse on this card belongs to these owls, or is it the birdie post office or is it a birdhouse shaped mailbox?  What do you think? 

This shaker card is filled with clay shaker elements, called Love Notes from the Crafty Supplies by CC Etsy Shop. Aren't they just darling!!!

And now it is time for a love note. 

Look at these two shy little owls, exchanging Valentine's! I think they are just darling sitting on their little branched with their love notes.

Tiny Friends Cottage in the Woods

Welcome To Episode 2 of my April Stamp Set of the Month series! 

This month I am featuring the Lawn Fawn Stamp Set, Tiny Friends. I had been wishing for this stamp set to go with my Build-a-House die set for a long time. So, I just had to pair it with this favorite house die set of mine! 

This card was inspired by my daughter who wants to live in a cottage in the woods. Watch and see it all come together.

Now let's take a closer look at today's creation. 

Isn't the Build-a-House the perfect size for these tiny friends!?! If you want to see more of the Build-a-House die set I have several videos using it you can see them in my Lawn Fawn playlist. 

See how cute they are and the little cottage in the woods. 

I used so many of my Lawn Fawn dies I have to help create this forest scene. I have them all linked for you below. 

Also, to make this house have more of a cottage feel I used the new Spring add on for Build-a-House. I love the rounded windows with shutters in this die set as well as the planter box with tulips in it! the fence pieces are also from this die set and added a sweet little touch to the scene. You can see in the upper window, you an open the shutters and see the pet frog, as all people who live in a cottage in the woods have! 

To add to my cottage I use the brick stencil and Vintage Photo Distress ink to add texture to the die cut house.  And here you can see that me and my hubby in the not so distant future are going to visit our daughter who is with her cat, in her cottage in the woods. That is her dream! And a surprise for Mom and Dad, when we open the door we see our other daughter is also there to visit. 

So, my daughter that wants to live in the woods also loves frogs and mushrooms, which is why I had to incorporate them into this card. So even thought it seems odd that that would be a frog in the upper window and giant mushrooms all around, it's all inspired by my daughter's dream of living in a cottage in the woods.

Swish & Pop Lazy Days Slimline Card

Are you like me and that you have to tell yourself it is okay to take a break. And sometimes we need to hear that from someone else. And maybe there are times we get to be the person to let a friend know it is okay to take a break. That is what my card is all about today. 

I am playing with the new Lazy Days April Box of the Month from the Not 2 Shabby Shop. I used a couple of the stamp sets in the box to create a relaxing afternoon in the grass scene with a hidden message that gently reminds... it's okay to take a break.  And the new Swish & Pop die set from Lawn Fawn was the perfect interactive die set to make this hidden message work.

Let's take a closer look at today's card. 

A day in the park with music, books, coffee, chocolate, a kitty and NO ALLERGIES of course, sounds perfect! 

It would be so nice, but are you like me, would you be laying there thinking about all the things you should be doing instead? 

That's when we need the gentle reminder...

It's okay to take a break. I love that the message is not see when the recipient first looks at the card. and Then it is revealed as a gentle reminder. 

As you can see I had a lot of fun with this card, using a bunch of images from the Me Time and the Not Today stamp sets to create this scene. These sets come with other images that make them great for indoor scenes too; a couch, chair and bath tub. Be sure to check out the April Box of the Month, Lazy Days from Not 2 Shabby.

Episode ONE - Tiny Friends

Hello Stamping Friends! Welcome to Episode One of my April Stamp Set of the Month series, featuring Tiny Friends from Lawn Fawn. Each Tuesday in the month of April I will be bringing you new ideas with this darling stamp set. New episodes air at 8pm MST on my YouTube channel.

Then you turn the wheel and the next screen is the dreaded..... LOADING..... 

A reminder of the current times, of everyone on the internet at the same time!  

And the last screen is the making a super cute card of course!  

On the walls are things you might find hanging in my stamp studio. A picture of Toby, my Cockapoo. A giant monogram, which I do actually have, but it is wooden and not pink. Maybe I should just paint mine!  

The sentiments on this card are perfect way for me to say THANK YOU to each of you who watch my videos... Sending (virtual) hugs and the awesome card!  I LOVED making this card and can not wait to play MORE with my Tiny Friends stamp set. Light Up Snow Globe Shaker Card

Today I am collaborating with Pear Blossom Press and Lauren Taylor of LaurenTaylorMade to bring you this fun light up card. Pear Blossom Press makes the EZ-Lights, which I featured earlier this month in this video. And they just came out with Halo Lights!  A ring with four LED lights on it. The electrical work is all done for you, all you have to do is add it to the back of your card!  It is that easy. So, Lauren and I decided to come together and give you TWO ideas with these new lights. After you watch my video I have a link to hers so you can get another great Halo Light idea. 

My first idea when I saw the new Halo Lights (4 LED lights mounted in a circle) was to use them to light up the Snow Globe from Lawn Fawn. And it fit perfectly!  Let's watch this Light Up Snow Globe card come together in this video:

Now let's take a look at my card. 

First off I have to say that I LOVE using the Snow Globe die set for other things beside Christmas. I have already used it two other times for different occasions. Like THIS mermaid snow globe card and this Froggy Snow Globe card. So making this garden gnome themed snowglobe was bound to happen. My daughter loves mushrooms and frogs and plants, so this card was inspired by her. 

Now let's chat about the Halo Lights.  You can see them in their packaging in the picture above. The come two to a pack. There are 4 LED lights around the light weight metal circle. You just pop the Halo out of the casing and it is ready to use. 

Here is how I attached mine. I took my die cut snow globe and traced the opening onto a 3-1/2" x 2-1/2" piece of card stock. Then I stamped my sentiment inside that circle. I added double stick tape to the back of my Halo Light and stuck that around my sentiment, with the battery and button towards the bottom of this panel. I made sure to erase my pencil line before moving on to the next step.

To turn this into a shaker, I used two layers of double stick foam strips around the halo, on the out side of the LED lights, but still on the metal frame. This gave me the reservoir I needed for my shaker elements. 

I adhered a window sheet to the back of my snow globe opening and then stuck the snowglobe down to the halo light so that the sentiment shown in the opening.  Now I removed the paper strip that is behind the battery of the Halo light. When that paper is in place the lights will not turn on. With the paper removed, you just push the red button next to the battery to turn the lights on. 

I felt for the button on my snow globe and added a white enamel dot over it to indicate a button on the outside of the snow globe. If you have a stamp that says PUSH, that would be perfect to use right here. 

I added a sentiment to the base of my snow globe from Heffy Doodle that says, "you light up my world", from a stamp set that is now retired. And the enamel dot button is right next to that. I love how it lights up the inside of the globe, illuminating the sentiment and shaker elements. 

The shaker elements I used, these bright colored leaves, are from the Craft Supplies by CC shop on Etsy. They carry great embellishments, some organizational products and some stamps and dies at great prices.

Lawn Fawn Fans Spring Hop

Here you can see the first three pennants in this banner. 

I used all of the dies in the Build-a-Basket Easter Die set in today's project. It is such a fun die set. I really enjoyed making all different colored baskets for this banner. 

There is a pennant in this banner for each member of my family, including Toby our baby dog. 

I used the new Perfectly Plaid patterned paper for the background, each pennant on the banner has a different print. And one of them has a print from the original pack. As this newly release pack is new colors.  

Make sure to watch the video to see how easy it is to make a stand for this basket and turn it into a place card for the easter table.

Feeling Froggy Episode 2

Hello my stamping friends. I am back with Episode Two of my February Stamp Set of the Month Series. Featuring the Feeling Froggy stamp set by Sunny Studio. 

In this episode I'm creating two interactive cards. It's a bit of a mash up of Sunny Studio products and Lawn Fawn products. 

The first card is a Snow Globe Magic Iris card and the second is a Flippin Awesome card. I love giving interactive cards and seeing the WOW look on people's faces when they discover the fun element to their card.

The first card is a Snow Globe Magic Iris card. I was inspired by a Lawn Fawn video where Mindy Egan made a unicorn snow globe. So, I made a mermaid snow globe, see that video HERE if you missed it. And now I want to make a snow globe for every cute thing!  So why not a froggy snowglobe?!? 

I love the colors on this card. I wanted that just about sunset look for this sky. I used three colors of ink from Concord & 9th to ink blend my background with the help of the Cloudy Stencil from Lawn Fawn.  The colors I used are; Buttercup, Sorbet and Poppy. 

I also splattered the background with some Metallic watercolors from Altenew. 

Another part of this card that I love is the base of the snowglobe, I colored it with Copic Markers to have the look of wood. I show you how in the video above.  As well has how I put this card, including the Magic Iris, together. 

Now let's take a look at the Flippin Awesome Froggie card. 

The Flippin Awesome die set makes me so happy!  I use to make cards like this with a lot of cutting and scoring. This die set now does all that work for me!  And making 4 little scenes to flip through on my cards is so fun. 

Watch and I pull the tab and each picture changes slightly.

YouTube Hop for Eating Disorder Awareness Week

Hello there my stamping friends. Today I am sharing a YouTube hop I am participating in with some other crafty YouTubers to bring awareness to eating disorders. 

We are hoping that by talking about it and showing our support it can break down some barriers and make it easier to talk about eating disorders. And when things are easier to talk about it helps people find the path to recovery a little easier too. 

We all chose to create projects using purple, another way to show our support of those facing or who have faced an eating disorder. 

Our hope is that you will watch and share the videos in this hop so that you too can help open up the dialog about eating disorders and we can all be a small part of bringing awareness.  If you want to find out more about how someone can get help for an eating disorder read to the bottom of this post. Now let's take a closer look at my Mermaid Magic Iris Snowglobe card. 

When planning to make a card with purple I decided that would be the perfect color to use with a mermaid. Then I saw a Lawn Fawn video by Mindy Egan where she made a snow globe card with a unicorn. That gave me the idea to use the snow globe for my mermaid card! 

Here you can see the snow globe closed. I imagine it is a lost treasure fallen to the bottom of the sea. 

I am in love with the glitter paper accenting this snow globe, it is a scrap left over from a piece a friend gifted me. I wish I could link it for you. It is a dark gray with a purple under tone. It is perfect for this card. 

The ink blending on this card was done with Dusty Concord and Broken China. I used this color combo on the background, the outside of the snow globe and on the moving parts of the Magic Iris. 

Also on the background I used the Snowy Sky stencil and Glacier paste from Nuvo for the look of bubbles. I turned out super cool, but most of it was covered up by the snow globe.

Special Delivery Congrats Card and Gift Card Holder

Good Morning and welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing my creations for Episode 3 of my January Stamp Set of the Month series. In this episode I am making a Congrats card for a new mom with the Special Delivery stamp set by Lawn Fawn. And a matching gift card holder to go with the card.

Now let's take a closer look at today's card. 

My idea was to have the birds holding a banner in their beaks. I love these chubby little birds thinking of new ideas for what they might be holding in their beaks is so much fun. I colored out my little birds with Copic Markers to look like canaries and just love them in bright yellow. 

For the banner I used the Olivers Stitched ABC's and Ballet Slippers card stock from Concord & 9th. 

What makes me so happy about this card are the little clay bow embellishments I used on the banner. They are just darling and were the inspiration for the color palette on this card. These little bows are from the Craft Supplies by CC Etsy shop. 

For the stamped part of my sentiment I used "special delivery" from the stamp set with the same name that the birds are from. For the "on your" I used a sentiment stamp from the Happy Village stamp set. 

The owls, small butterflies and hearts stamped on this card are from the Mom + Me stamp set by Lawn Fawn.  It was the perfect set to pair with the Special Delivery stamp set for this card! 

The size of this card base is 8-3/4" x 7-1/4", scored at 3-5/8", which gave me a bit of a border around the scalloped panel from the Scalloped Slimline with Hearts: Portrait die set. When die cut the scalloped panel is 8-1/2" x 3-1/2". This card will still fit into the business sized envelopes I found at the Dollar Tree. 

And here is the gift card holder made with the Magic Iris Birdhouse die set. 

This gift card holder is easily made by folding a piece of card stock in half and die cutting the birdhouse so the bottom cut line is just beyond the fold. When you run this through the die cutting machine you will have a birdhouse that opens at the bottom. Add a bit of double stick tape to the sides, but only near the top, to secure the pocket. Now you can add a gift card and decorate the gift card holder that can also but used as a tag on a gift. I thought pack of diaper with a gift card and this darling card would make a great gift for a new mom.

Special Delivery Episode 2

In this Episode of my January Stamp Set of the Month series I am turning the birds from the Special Delivery Stamp Set into robins. 

These robins are searching for worms to feed their baby birds after the rain.

I did make custom sentiments for these projects. You can download my printable WORMderful Sentiments right here. 

This card is a shaker card with a rainbow backdrop, because this scene is after the rain. And that is what my shaker element are in this card, raindrops. 

The Slimline Rainbow die set is from Trinity Stamps. I love the large size of this rainbow and that is stretches from small to large over the length of a slimline card. 

This card also has several lift the flaps, two in the tree and two bushes. Behind the bushes are a couple bugs hiding out from the rain storm. And in the tree are the baby birds. 

I was able to make the bird carry the worm easily in it's beak just by using the die that comes in the Special Delivery stamp set, to cut an opening around the beak. I love that there is a die for this and I do not have to use a blade to do it. 

Now let's take a look at the little treat holder I made to go with this card. 

Last week I made a box with the Birdhouse die set, but I wanted to create somethings without sides that could go around a small cellophane bag. 

This is just two bird houses attached at the bottom with an accordion folded piece. 

This connector measures 1-1/4" x 2-1/4", scored at 1/4", 3/8" and 1" on the long side. 

I folded this accordion style and used it to attache two identical birdhouses. I put my cellophane bag of gummy worms in-between, attaching the bag to the back birdhouse with glue dots. 

I closed the birdhouses together and punched a hole for my tag, which is one of the sentiments available on my free printable.

Then I added some more little robins to finish it off.

Lawn Fawn Special Delivery + Birdhouse Die 2 ways

Hello there and welcome to my first Stamp Set of the Month episode for 2021!  

This months stamp set is by Lawn Fawn, no surprise there, is the Special Delivery stamp set!  

Each Tuesday this month I will be bringing you new ideas with this set. In this episode I am brining in the new Magic Iris Birdhouse die set and showing you two ways to use that with the Special Delivery stamp set.

For the first project I showed you how to hid a Magic Iris on a slimline card. 

When you pull down on the tab the birdhouse opens up. 

You can see this little birdie has a lot of Valentine admirers! I think we should all flood each other's mail boxes with Valentines this year! Because it is up to use to make 2021 all that we want it to be! And I want it to be a year of happiness. And a box full of handmade cards would make me so happy! 

I love the background on this card, made using the new stencil set from Lawn Fawn, Conversation Hearts, and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink. 

To go with my card I made a little treat box using the same Birdhouse die set. This is a great die set, because you can use all the dies in the birdhouse set without ever having the Magic Iris. This little project is one of those ideas....

This little treat box, or as I like to call it... TWEET BOX, is so easy to make! 

You just die cut two bird houses and hook them together with a middle piece that you cut and score yourself. 

The middle piece starts out with a piece of card stock that is 1-1/4" x 6-3/4". 

Score on the long side at 1/4" and 1".

Score on the short side at 2-1/4" and 4-1/2". 

Cut on the short line to make 3 tabs on each side of this strip.  

Add adhesive to each of these tabs and secure it to one of the bird houses. Lining up the middle section of this strip with the bottom of the birdhouse. 

Repeat with the sides, lining up the edge of the strip with the edge of the birdhouse. 

Finish by adding on the second birdhouse. 

So quick and easy to make and so darn cute!  I could make a bunch of these! 

Inside I added a mini Stroopwafel  and a bag of Chocolate Mint tea!  So, it is not too tiny of a box.

Now let's get a good look at this woodland kitchen...

I knew I wanted to use the stamp set, A Creature is Stirring,  for this card and the oven from Sprinkled with Joy. I also knew I wasn't excited about thinking up how to create a kitchen counter top. So I thought let's take the kitchen to the mice instead.  And a Woodland kitchen was born. 

The woodland scene it self was created on the largest rectangle die cut from the Large Slimline with Sliders die set from Lawn Fawn, which is 8-1/2" x 3-1/2". I mounted that onto some Red and White Striped Paper, it is digital paper that I bought from Etsy, and printed out. I have the shop linked below for you. So, my finished card is 9" x 8", scored at 4". This size slimline card fits into the business sized envelopes that I bought at the Dollar Tree. 

I used the Lift the Flap Tree Backdrop to add a tree to each end of the scene.  Inside each tree I added a cute thing. The tree on the left is a mice who snuck off to eat a candy cane. 

On the right the mice are using the tree for storage and in this pantry of convenience you will find the vanilla frosting. 

Also, the oven door opens to reveal a fun shaker surprise! 

I love this part of the card so much, first of all, a red oven!  Second, a shaker of gingerbread men, peppermint candies, sprinkles and seed beads!  And it is just so much fun to have a little mini shaker right on your card. 

And on the inside...

Another little flap to lift with a mouse eating a cookie. What a fun card to make!  I still want to add more cookies to it, but I had to stop. I hope you have enjoyed this card too. Below I have all the stops for this hop, so you don't miss a video.

Tiny Gingerbread Episode 4 - Snowglobes

Welcome back to my blog, today I am sharing Episode 4 of my Tiny Gingerbread stamp set of the month series. 

In this episode the theme is snow globes. In addition tot he Tiny Gingerbread stamp set I used the Snow Globe scenes stamp set and the Magic Iris Snow Globe add on. And maybe a few other fun things!  Each week this month I have shared an Slimline Card and an A2 sized card, this week is the same. My slimline card has 3 min snowglobe shakers on it that are removable and can then be used as ornaments. The A2 card using the Magic Iris and Snow globe add on, AND it is a shaker!  So much fun in this video, I can not wait to share it with you.

You can see here how the little snow globes detach from the slimline card and are now ornaments.  A little bit of white/clear velcro did the trick. 

The Magic Iris snow globe reveals the little gingerbread scene.  All the snow globes on these card are shakers, including the Magic Iris. Watch the video above to see how to turn your magic iris into a shaker. 

Each of these little snow globes was made with the new Snow Globe Scenes stamp set set, die set and the Snow globe shaker add on die set. I attached the snow globes to the background with some velcro. 

Having these removable snow globes on the card is like giving a card and a gift in one. And I think these snow globes will look so very cute on a Christmas tree. 

Now take a look at this Magic Iris Snow globe card. 

 

When you open up the iris, there is the cute little gingerbread scene.

Lawn Fawn Christmas Card Collaboration Challenge

Hello Stamping Friends!  Happy Monday. Today I am here with a super fun collaboration with my new crafty friend, Candice of Candoodle Creations. Making crafty friends who love to do the same things I do it one of my favorite things about having a YouTube channel. Since Candice and I both love Lawn Fawn we thought it would be fun to team up and bring you a couple of fun videos. The challenge was to use our favorite Lawn Fawn stamp sets to make Christmas cards. I chose one of my faves, Car Critters and the new Christmas Card Critters Add on. Candice chose the Mermaid for You stamp set. For my video I chose to make a card for each of these sets. You can check out my video and the making of these cards below.

Now let's take a look at each of these cards. 

You might already know that I love the Car Critters stamp set from the Car Critters Stamp Set of the Month series. So when Lawn Fawn came out with the Christmas add on I was very happy to add that set to my collection.  And even more happy to be using to make a fun Christmas card for this challenge. 

In this scene the little deer are out looking at Christmas lights. This is a tradition that we do in my family. We pile in our truck with my parents and drive all over the city checking out Christmas lights. We wear our jammies and  have hot cocoa and popcorn. And of course listen to Christmas music. It is a ton of fun!  Until you have to run in Walmart to use the bathroom. But if you have to run in somewhere to use the bathroom in your jammies, Walmart is a judgement free zone to do so. 

To create this scene I used another favorite of mine from Lawn Fawn, the Build-a-House die set and the Christmas add on die set. The Santa on the roof is from the Tiny Christmas stamp set.  What do you think, it is actually Santa or is part of the Christmas decorations? 

I add glaze to the Christmas lights and the window to give them some shine. 

I adde the glaze to the headlights and Rudolph nose on the car. As well as the ornaments on this tree. 

What do you think of the red and white stripped paper in the background?  I really wanted to add that in the background as I felt the card needed another pop of Christmas. I did not have the right sized paper or color that I wanted to use for a slimline card. So I went to Etsy and found some digital paper. I was then able to print out and die cut this panel for my background. Here is a link to the paper that I purchased from the Periwinkle Pixel Shop. 

Now let's take a look at the Christmas card I made using the Mermaid for you stamp set. 

Santa has found his way to everyone on the Nice List, including this darling mermaid and her friends. 

I used a few other stamp sets to create this scene, Lawn Fawn has so many under the sea sets and they all work together. I used the Ocean Shellfie set because it has a couple rocks in it that coordinate with the big rock from the Mermazing set. And I love the octopus, Dory or Flounder looking fish and the little jelly fish!!! 

I pulled out an oldie but a goodie for my island, Life is Good. The crab, island and tree are from that set. Santa and the present are from the Ho-Ho Holidays set, This Santa and the Santa from Tiny Christmas are almost identical, except in size of course.  The nice list image is from the Holiday Helpers set, it is a cute set featuring elves!  I love how the crab is helping Santa and holding up the list. 

Did you notice that this card has stripped background paper too?  This is also a digital paper,  from The Digi Rainbow shop on Etsy. Again, I printed it out and die cut it wit the large rectangle die from the Large Slimline with sliders die set. This paper matches the Chipped Sapphire ink I used for my night sky perfectly. 

Now it is time to click over and watch Candice's video and see what she made for this challenge. It was so much fun for me. I love a good challenge and making a Christmas card with a Mermaid stamp set was a challenge for me. I love how it made me think differently and stretched my creativity. In the end I love how it turned out!  Thank you Candice for the fun and for collaborating with me!

Holiday Latte Digi Stamp - Print & Cute on Silhouette

Hello again, welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing a card for the Not 2 Shabby Digi Challenge for the month of November. 

The challenge this month is to use a Digital stamp from the Not 2 Shabby Shop and a stand alone die set. 

This month, to make it more fun, I am collaborating with my friend Bitty Penny.  We have been following each other on YouTube and just became friends. So, you have two fun videos to watch today!  We thought we would make it even more fun and add another element to this challenge!  And that is to make a shape card!

Another great thing about this challenge is that YOU are invited to play along. Create a project using this month's challenge and post it to social media, like Instagram and use the hashtag #not2shabbydigichallenge so I can find you. At the end of the month a winner will randomly be selected to win a free digital stamp from the Not 2 Shabby Shop!   

For my shape card I thought I would challenge myself to use my Silhouette Cameo to create the shape card and print and cut my digital stamp. The digital stamp I chose is the new Holiday Latte.

Now let's take a closer look at my Holiday Latte Shape Card. 

I ADORE this digital stamp!

What is so cool about digital stamps is that you can change the size of the image. I thought I would make this latte be my card and make it BIG.  The finished size of this card is 3-3/4" x 6-1/2". It will fit nicely in a slimline envelope, or in a hand made envelope. 

I colored in my image with my Copic Markers. I just use my HP Envy 7645 printer and light weight card stock for all my digital stamp and have not had an issue coloring them in with Copic Markers. 

After coloring in the cup I then stamped a snowflake pattern over the cup in white. The snowflake is from the Winter Sentiments stamp set from Not 2 Shabby. You can get this stamp set for free when you make a purchase of $60 at the Not 2 Shabby Shop. 

The stand alone die set I chose to use is the Oliver's Stitched ABC's from Lawn Fawn, to add the word JOY to my cup. I accented the letters with a holly stamp from the set, A Creature Was stirring, also from Lawn Fawn. 

I used my Cameo Silhouette to print and cut my digital stamp as well as create this shape card, you can see how in the video above. 

I also used the Winter Sentiments stamp set on the inside of my card, the perfect saying for this card.

Tiny Gingerbread Village

Hello there, welcome back. It is Tuesday and that means it is time for another stamp set of the month episode. This is Episode 3 of my Tiny Gingerbread Series. This week I am making a gingerbread village and reveal wheel card.

Let's start by taking a closer look at the slimline card. This is a gingerbread village. Full of sugar and spice and everything nice. I thought the new Gingerbread Build-a-House add on die set went perfectly with my Tiny Gingerbread set and knew I had to use it in this series. 

You can see in this village is rains gumdrops and snows sugar. 

Here is the A2 card, using the Build-a-House and Gingerbread house add on to make a Reveal Wheel card. The picture in the upper window changes three times as you rotate the wheel. 

Both of my cards have a snowy background, using the new Snowy Sky stencil. It is one of those must have stencils that I will use repeatedly.  

The tiny gumdrops on this card and the lollipops on the slimline card come from the Sweet Christmas stamp set, another gingerbread set. If you like the Sweet Christmas set, check out this slimline card I made with that set.

I guess you can say that I have a thing for gingerbread.  I think they are so cute. And I do make a batch of gingerbread cookies every year with my girls. They are also very yummy.

Now let's take a closer look at the card I made for this birthday celebration. 

I had to make a shaker card! Why??? Well, for one they are one of my most favorite cards to make.  Two, I wanted to showcase the fun shaker elements from Neha's shop. 

The colors for my card were inspired by the Fall Leaves clay elements that I used for this shaker.  Since Neha's birthday is in the fall I thought it would be fun to make a fall themed birthday card. The bright colors help to make this card more fresh and fun that using just traditional fall colors. I would have never come up with this color combination on my own and I just love how it turned out with these fun colors. Tiny Gingerbread Boy Story Book Cards

Hello there stamping friends! It's time for Episode 2 of my Lawn Fawn Tiny Gingerbread Series. 

This week's cards are inspired by the classic Little Gingerbread Boy stories. There are so many version out there, even Little Gingerbread Girl stories. In my first card the classic scene of the sly fox offering to help the Gingerbread Boy cross the river is playing out. And in my second card the gingerbread people have out foxed the fox and have made their escape.

The slimline card was actually pretty easy to make with the help of the new Over the Mountain stamp set. 

I love that three stamps can make a hilly backdrop for my scene. 

You can see here the fox is pretty proud of himself, he is so sly. But the gingerbread boy on his back sees that half eaten gingerbread boy in the water and is now on to the fox. 

In this close up pic you can see the foot prints I made in the snow with my C0 Copic marker, it's one of my favorite details on this card. 

But let's see what happens next in this story. 

The gingerbread people are smarter than that fox and have made their getaway in their adorable little car. From the Car Critters Stamp set. You can see the fox is not sure what just happened. 

These cards just make me smile!  They are light and bright and tell a story.

Lawn Fawn Tiny Gingerbread Pull Tab

Hello and Happy November. It is a new month and time for a new Stamp Set of the Month series! For the month of November I will be showcasing the Tiny Gingerbread stamp set by Lawn Fawn. 

I LOVE gingerbread men and so I decided to challenge myself to see what I could come up with for this tiny stamp set. 

For Episode One I am pulling out one of my favorite and my first interactive die set, Pull Tab. I thought it would be fun to have a way to dunk one of the gingerbread men in hot cocoa. 

As a second challenge I decided to make a slimline version and an A2 sized version of the same card.

First up let's take a look at the slimline card. 

To make this cocoa bar scene for my Tiny Gingerbread people I brought in the Thanks A Latte stamp set. These two stamp sets are the perfect pairing!  Especially for dunking your gingerbread man into your cocoa. 

In the first photo you can see the gingerbread man all the way in the cocoa and in this photo you can see him pulled up out of the cocoa. He is very small and so the movement with the pull tab is also very small.  But it is quite fun to dunk hime over and over in the cocoa.  

The background for this card was made using PanPastels.  First, I stamped the snowflake image repeatedly over my 9" x 4" background with clear embossing ink. Then, I rubbed on red PanPastel. The PanPastel will stick to the stamped images and make them darker. It is one of my most favorite kind of backgrounds to make, as it is so easy.  

Now let's take a look at the A2 sized version on this card. 

If you like the standard size card (A2 - 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4") you can almost always take an idea from a slimline card and pair it down to fit on an A2 card. That is what I am going to be showing you in this months series.  

This A2 card still has the gingerbread man getting dunked but only has the one cup on it. If you are making a lot of Christmas cards this one would definitely be the faster card to make. 

I just adore all the little images in this gingerbread set, but I am pretty giddy over have a stamp of cookie crumbs. It's weird, I know.

Lawn Fawn Thanks Thanks Thanks Slimline Shaker

Today I am sharing a card I made for the ScrapbookPal.com YouTube channel and blog. 

I used the new Thanks Thanks Thanks stamp set by Lawn Fawn for this slimline shaker card. 

The colors I chose for the background of this card were inspired by the heart shaker elements from my stash, a free gift from Trinity Stamps. I did my ink blending with Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass, and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink.  

I die cut this with the Large Slimline with Slider die set and the Small Slimline Lift the Flap die set to create the frame. The finished size of this card is 8-1/2" x 3-1/2", the card base started out at 8-1/2" x 7" and I scored it at 3-1/2" to put this shaker on to. 

The fall out from this frame then became the background panel for my shaker card. This I stamped repeatedly with the large script thanks and embossed it with clear powder. 

The next way I added many thanks to this card was by stamping the THX image on different colors of card stock with a slightly darker colored ink. I then cut this out and they became part of the shaker element I used for this card. 

For the sentiment on the out side of the card I wanted some contrast so I used Versafine Onyx black ink and clear embossing powder.  I just love how the black and white pop on top of this background.

Let's Go Nut Christmas Episode

Hello. Did you catch Episode 4 of my Let's Go Nuts series? 

It went up on YouTube last night. You can see it right here. 

For this last episode of my October Stamp Set of the Month series. I wanted to do Christmas. So, I CASEd myself.  I took each of the three cards I made during this series and used them as inspiration to make a Christmas version of each card!

In this video I show you the three cards that inspired these and then you can watch how I made them. If you can not see the video above you can also view it right here.  

Now let's take a closer look at each of the cards. 

The first card is a z-fold card. The top left panel pulls back, revealing more of the scene. If you did not catch episode one where I made a Halloween version of this card you can see that here. 

First let's look at the left hand side of the card. 

Here the squirrels are preparing for a neighborhood Christmas party. I love the squirrels in gray for my winter cards. Like a lot of animals their coats can change in winter and get lighter, so I thought warm gray Copic makers were perfect for today's cards. 

Here is the right hand side of the card. 

I love using the Mushroom House and acorn house on the same card. And the fact that the Let's Go Nuts stamp set has so many squirrel images makes it so easy to create a scene like this one, a village of critters. 

To create the z-fold panel you need to have to piece that you connect together. The right hand panel is 8-3/4" x 3-3/4". The left hand panel is 9-1/4" x 3-3/4", scored at 4-3/8" and 8-3/4". This is the panel you fold in to a z shape and you will also have a tab to connect this piece to the first panel. Once complete I adhered this down to a slimline card that measures 9" x 8", scored at 4".  You an easily adjust the size of these panels to fit the slimline card size you like. I found this biggest slimline size to be perfect for the acorn and mushroom house. 

The next card is a pull tab card. Inspired by this card right here. 

The squirrels are all prepared for winter and are celebrating the season together. And what are a squirrels Christmas dreams? 

Enough nuts stockpiled up for the entire winter. On the first card I had a window sheet so you could see through the door as to what was inside the house. I did not do that this time, leaving what was on the pull tab a surprise. 

The last card in the episode is a shaker card. Inspired by this birthday card. 

It is winter time now for the squirrels. That one squirrel is just excited about everything, but especially catching a snowflake on his tongue. 

When you open the door you can see a neighborly exchange of Christmas treats. 

We love to exchange treats in our neighborhood. We always make Gingerbread cookies and Almond Rocca.
