Hello there stamping friends. Happy March! Today I have a NEW stamp and die set to share with you from the Not 2 Shabby Shop.
When Jamie (of Not 2 Shabby) asked it I might like to share the Sweet Critters stamp set this month, as it seemed like my style I was all over it! The critters in this set are DARLING. And the die set cuts around their arms so they can hold any number of cute things that are in the stamp set. This set is for the March Stamp and Die of the Month, a subscription you can join through Not 2 Shabby. This set is a shining example of the cute stamp sets that the N2S shop puts out each month.
Let's take a look at the card I made with this cute set.
I love the story book feel of these critters and that I can tuck little things in their hands!
I was in the mood for some ink blending when I made this card. I wanted a very springy storybook look for this card. I used Spun Sugar and Wilted Violet for the sky with a dusting of Vintage Photo. For the grassy hill I used Twisted Citron and Rustic Wilderness and again added a bit of Vintage Photo. I also had some fun with splattering, since I LOVE that look.
Here you can see how the hands/arms of the critters are cut away from the body, the dies do this for you! Not crafty knife needed! This made me think that they would look cute popping up from behind the fence. This fence is the Slimline Picket Fence die, new from Lawn Fawn. I even tucked a little something into the paws of each critter.
Have you noticed the fuzzy little tuffs on top of each of the critters heads? That is Cottontail Flocking by Pink and Main. It is the perfect touch to these critters!
To embellish this card I use Shimmering Rose Nuvo drops to make little hearts. Not only did I have so much fun making this card but I just love how it turned out.
If you'd like to purchase from the Not 2 Shabby shop and it is items that are not for subscription use code N2S10 at check out to get 10% off your purchase.
All the other supplies I used have been listed and linked for you below.

Hey there stamping friends. I am thrilled to help my friend Jamie Peters celebrate her YouTube channel, Not 2 Shabby, reached 10K subscribers. To celebrate 10 designers have come together for a YouTube hop! And there are 10 sponsor, each designer will be showcasing one of these sponsors. And each sponsor has a gift card to giveaway!!! Tons of fun right here today!
I will be showcasing Lawn Fawn and making some easter themed projects.
Now let's take a look at the projects that I made using Lawn Fawn products for this hop.
The Build-a-Basket die set is the perfect Easter die set that you can use with any other easter stamps you might have. It is one of those timeless die sets that I will hold on to and use for years to come. With this die set I made a mini slimline card and a gift tag with a pull out piece.
This basket fits perfectly on a mini slimline card! I love that the basket can be the star of the show on this size card. If you are not familiar with a mini slimline card they are 3" x 6", super easy to make using a 6" x 6" piece of card stock and just fold it in half.
For my background I used Watercolor Wishes patterned paper. I added a bit of sparkle to the blue background using the Lots of Hearts stencil and Fairy Dust Stencil Paste. It makes for a nice subtle something in the background.
The sentiment on this card is from a Not 2 Shabby stamp set, Easter Wishes, I fit perfectly on the grass and is a great style for this card. I love it embossed with white, it gives it such a fun spring feel.
I played with different colors of card stock to create my two toned pieces. I love using a light and a dark card stock of the same color family for the eggs, basket and bunny.
Now let's take a look at the tag. I know it is a bit big for this stuffy peep bunny, but it is what I had. But this tag would fit nicely on a bigger stuffy, maybe one that would not fit in an easter basket. Or an a gift for a person that might not get an easter basket anymore. But wait, there is more to this tag, when you pull on on the eggs.....
This pull out is 1-7/8" x 1-3/4" and it just the right size for a little message or for your "To and From". Make sure to watch the video to see how this goes together.
If you'd like more inspiration with this die set be sure to check out this video, where I make a banner and place card with it.
If you are not familiar with Not 2 Shabby, they carry their own line of stamps, dies, paper, stencils and digitals stamps. AND, you can find products from your favorite stamp companies as well. I order my Lawn Fawn products from the Not 2 Shabby shop most of the time, it's because I love supporting not only one of my favorite product lines but also a small business run by a person I know. And Jamie is so great with customer service and getting orders out quickly.
If you want to shop the Not 2 Shabby shop you can use my discount code N2S10 to get 10% off your order at check out (some new or sale items may not apply).
If you'd like to hop along with us and enter the giveaway you will want to do that over on YouTube, as this is a video hop. Here are all the stops on the hop.
Below I have links to the products I used on these projects.

Hello my stamping friends. Today I am creating with the November Stamp of the Month from Not 2 Shabby! It's the Cup of Cheer Stamp set. This set is available to purchase now or you can subscribe and get the Stamp of the Month set each month! And what is super cool is that now you can also get the coordinating die set with it if you like!
Take a look at the three cards I made using this new stamp set.
The images in this set are so darling with their cute little faces. Plus, I just love penguins!
Watch the video to see this stamp set in action and these cards come together.
For each of these cards I used small images in the stamp set to stamp and emboss a background. I love making my own backgrounds and embossing a repeating image with white embossing powder is a classic technique that can be used with so many stamp sets. I also used the same layout for each of these cards. Repeating the same layout and design elements really made it easy to create three cards. I only had to think of one idea and then repeat that with new colors and new stamped images.
To get my images ready for coloring I stamped them with Versafine Onyx Black ink and embossed them with clear powder on Bristol Smooth Card Stock. Then I used two shades of each color to get some shading when I colored. I also go the lighter areas on my image with the used of the Blender Pen. These markers blend with each other beautifully. Watch the video to see them in action.
Marshmallow stamps, so simple, so super cute! Love them! And this little cup with the smiley face is just darling.
On this card especially you can see the splatter in the background that is real life is shimmery, as I used Perfect Pearls to make the splatter.
I finished off these cards with some sequins, which came with my order. I little sampler of sequins that had great options to coordinate with these cards.
These cards were simple to make and easy to replicate. But mostly, I had fun making them and that is what makes for a great card.
You can find the Stamp of the Month for November, Cup Of Cheer right HERE.
If you like the Stamp of the Month from Not 2 Shabby you are going to LOVE the Box of the Month! Arctic Winter is the cutest collection of winter critter stamps, paper packs, Ephemera and embellishments.

Hello there! I am back sharing another card kit. This month I have been sharing a different card kit each week. My hope is to give you ideas not only with that kit, but tips on how to use any card kit that you might have. Last week I shared the All Aboard Kit from Spellbinders. If you missed that video you can watch it here. That kit is SO full of ephemera and embellishments and that was my focus playing with that kit. I also gave my self a few goals, to make simple cards and to make about 20 cards. You'll have to watch to see how that turned out.
This week I went a completely different route. And I have a few more tips for you for making with kits. This week's kit is from Not 2 Shabby. It is the Lovely Fall Kit, the Box of the Month for September 2021. Every month Not 2 Shabby does a different box, you can subscribe and get is sent to you automatically each month. Some of the kit contents are also sold separately. These kits are very popular and usually sell out each month. I did not go quick and easy on these cards, I just had fun playing and ended up creating 8 cards!
Check out this video for all the insights and the making of these 8 card!
Did you catch all my tips in this video for creating with kits?
Let me recap them for you here, because if you are like me, you card kits can start to pile up and get forgotten.
My first tip is the set a date to create! I set aside a Saturday afternoon to play and create with this Lovely Fall kit. And I was looking forward to breaking it out and knowing I was going to do that the ideas started forming in my head.
Another problem that happens with kits is that there is so much in them that you don't know where to start.
To help with that I have 2 tips for you.
One, stamp out all the images. I even like to stamp them out a few times while I am at it. Then color them up. As you are doing this the creative juices start flowing and idea may come to you about what images you'd like to pair up on a card.
Second, play with the special thing in the kit. This kit comes with the Knit Diamond stencil, something special to pull out and just play with. Another special thing that might come in a kit is a die set. So, I took out the stencil and made a few backgrounds. NOW, I have stamped and colored images and backgrounds. With all the other fun stuff in this kit I was READY to create.
So now let's take a close up look at each of the cards I made.
Let me just list all the things I love about this card. One, that stamped scene from the Welcome Fall Stamp Set! I was intimidated by it at first, but once I started coloring it, I loved it more and more. Second, I love the Buffalo check! That paper is from the Lovely Fall 6" x 6" paper pack. Next, I love the burlap and Jute cord. Adding texture to my card is one of my favorite things to do. This card measures 6" x 6". Sometimes you just have to go big!
This card features one of the stenciled background I made using Distress Oxide inks. I added a row of the stamped images and a sentiment. The splatter is from the Broomstick and Frosted Juniper Distress Mica Stain Sprays. These are from a limited edition release. If there are any available still you might find them either at Simon Says Stamp, Scrapbook.com or Ranger. As well as the Grave Grit Paste I used on the next card.
Don't you just love that tiered tray image! The set this is from Autumn Vibes has already sold out, but several of the images are in the Ephemera pack. I used the Knit Diamonds stencil and some Grave Grit paste to make this background. And it is just fabulous, so much texture! This card as with 3 others in today's creations are mini slimline. The all measure 5-3/4" x 3".
Who loves squirrels? ME!!! I wanted to keep with my color pallet and make this a pumpkin spice themed card. I stamped the pumpkin image all over the plaid patterned paper, splattered it and inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink. Once again I added burlap and jute twine to my card for texture.
I loved stamping on the patterned paper, so I did it again on this wood grain panel using Speckled Egg Distress ink and the acorn and leaves stamps. I combined stamped images and ephemera on this one. BUT, my FAVORITE part of this card is the base the elements are sitting on. I masked off the bottom of the card front, added some Grave Grit Paste and then pressed a piece of burlap into it to create texture! It reminds me of the concrete tend in home decor right now.
This card is a full panel shaker, if you have never seen one made before be sure to watch my video. The flowers I added were from my stash and just seemed to go with this card. The circle that my sentiment is mounted on is part of a stenciled background where I used the Knit Diamond Stencil and the Broomstick Distress Mica Stain Spray. LOVE how it turned out.
I wanted to make a card that used ephemera as the focal point of the card and that is this card. I also used another of the backgrounds I made using the Knit Diamond Stencil. After spraying a background with Distress Mica Stain Spray I did not want to waste all the spray on top of the stencil, so I picked it up with a piece of white card stock and it became the background for this card.
And finally a slimline card! The super cool thing about this card is that I spread Journey Glaze all over my ephemera pieces and them sprinkled on some glitter. So when you turn this card in the light it's very pretty.
If you'd like to see all these cards being made you can watch this video.
This kit is currently sold out, but I have listed the products that you can buy individually from this kit below.
Not 2 Shabby also has a Stamp and Die set of the month! The month's set is darling with Scarecrows! You can also subscribe and get the stamp and die of the month automatically. See more about that here.

Have you had one of those days where you can not find you mojo. Card making is not happening. Crafting is a no go. But you have time and new things, only you don't know what to make?!?
That's when I like to turn to a challenge. Like the one I am playing along with today from Not 2 Shabby. You can find these kinds of challenges all over the World Wide Web. The fun thing about them is it gets you thinking of how you can incorporate that challenge into what you have. And that can be just the thing to spark the old mojo! Here is the challenge board for the N2S July challenge .
You can be inspired by the colors, the images, the flowers, the shapes, the suit with the boutonniere (WEDDING!), and so much more.
Another thing that can spark creativity is collaborating with a friend. AND, of course I am doing that too for today's challenge. I collaborated with my friend, Jenn Hartsgrove of Katahdin Krafts to up the challenge a bit. We decided together that along with Not 2 Shabby challenge we would also use the Waffle Cone Ice Cream Digital stamp from N2S and make a slimline card. This really gets the wheels turning. And I am always super excited to see what Jenn will come up with, how similar and how different will our cards be!!!
I hope you are excited to see what we both did with this challenge. AND just maybe we can help you be inspired and fuel your mojo enough that you will want to play along with us and the Not 2 Shabby July Challenge. Get all the details about playing along right HERE.
Now let's take a look at my card making video and what I made for this challenge.
Now you can watch Jenn's video and see her creation with this challenge in this video HERE.
Now let's take a closer look at today's card.
For the used of the ice cream cone I print and cut out 3. I colored them (with COPIC Markers) to go with the colors of the inspiration challenge board. I love the look of blending the blue and purple together. I think this ice cream must be Blueberry and Huckleberry. I then attached them to a sheet of Faux Embossed Watercolor Paper. I cut off the excess cones and reused them to fill in the entire background for a more full look. I added the sentiment and some gems to dress up the card.
Today is National Ice cream Day, so if you are still up reading this, you have my permission to have a bowl of ice cream before bed, or hit a drive through!!!

Hello there stamping friends today I am going to share with you a few hacks to making multiple cards at once. This is also part of a YouTube hop with Not 2 Shabby. We are celebrating their new box of the month - Insect Cuties.
When I get a new kit or box of the month, it inspires me to play. I want to make a bunch of things and try out all the stuff in that box. So I thought I would make a bunch of cards so I could play with all the images in the two stamp sets in this box. Doing this I thought you might like a to know a few of the things I do to streamline this and make it a little easier.
As this is a video hop, let's start with the video, where you are going to hear all of my hacks for making multiple cards.
This hop does offer a GIVEAWAY! A $25 shopping spree to the Not 2 Shabby shop. To enter hop along with us over on YouTube using the hashtag #N2SInsectCuties to find all of the videos. Comment as you hop along. And be sure to enter the Rafflecopter here:https://www.rafflecopter.com/rafl/display/eeeaf7f37/?
The hop ends on July 8th, watch the N2S Instagram, blog and YouTube page for winner announcement.
Now let's take a look at all five of the slimline cards I made.
When making multiple cards I like to find an element that I can repeat on all of the cards. For me it was the use of this plaid die by Pink & Main.
I also like to repeat the same design elements with a few subtle changes, as you will see in the following cards. Don't you just love the darling critters in these new stamp sets. These little snails hugging is so darling.
For all of the cards I used the Faux Embossed Slimline Rainbow paper pad. It has a pattern on it that appears to be embossed! It's super cool and you can see it much better on my last card. I die cut the patterned paper on the first four cards, I like how the embossed detail on the paper gives it some variation.
I also used the Clay elements and gem stones from the July box to embellish each of my cards. Even though I have several different color schemes going on I was able to find flowers from the embellishment mix to match, as well as the gems. Both have a rainbow of colors to match whatever color scheme you choose.
For my final card I used the patterned paper behind my black plaid die cut. I added three bees from one of the stamp sets in the box, Buzy Bees as well as a sentiment from that set. This card is definitely my favorite. But the other are so darling and really helped me build up my birthday card stash. And with a few simple hacks these cards were quick to make.
The rest of the supplies I used are linked for you below.

YEP, hair gel is not just for spiking your hair do! It's great for underwater cards! And today I am going to show you three ways to add Hair Gel to your cards for a fun underwater look!
This is one of those techniques that you have to SEE being done. Check out my video below.
When you shop at the Not 2 Shabby shop be sure to use code N2S10 at check out for 10% off your order!
Now let's take a look at Hair Gel card No.1!
For this first card I added clear hair gel to a cellophane bag and put it behind a window in my card. the seahorses are behind the gel. This makes a squishy, bubbly window that the recipient can push on. It gives the card a very realistic under water feel.
For the second card I used hair gel with a few drops of ink.
This is fun because you can let the recipient mix the color around in the gel. You can even put two colors of ink in and them them mix the colors together. The ink does not immediately color all of the gel, it takes mixing to do so.
The third way I used Hair Gel in my card was to add glitter to the gel. This one ended up being my FAVE!
So much fun to push around the glittery gel. A little bit goes a long way with the glitter, a pinch will do or up to 1/8 of a teaspoon if you have a bigger window like I do on this card.
And there are all three of my Hair Gel cards. They really are so much fun to make. I do not recommend mailing these for fear they might get punctured and the USPS does not like mysterious liquids seeping out the mail. These are great to be hand delivered or inside a box. Be sure to watch the video to see how I put these cards together.
Below you will find all the supplies I used to make today's cards.

Hey there stamping friends, today I'm sharing with you 5 techniques that you can use to alter patterned paper. And making 5 mini slimline cards. You can watch the video to see all of the techniques and see the cards come together. I am also sharing pictures of all the card in this post.
Here are all five of the Mini Slimline cards I made, each of them with a different technique to alter patterned paper.
For my cards I used products from the May Box of the Month from Not 2 Shabby. A lot of the contents of this kit have already sold out. Not only is the box of the month a great value, it is full of darling coordinating product too! I have all the products still available linked for you below.
Let's talk about each of the five techniques I used.
1 - Splatter your Patterned Paper
I love splatter. So splattering all the things is normal for me and the reason why it is number one on my list of techniques today. I also feel that splattering has a bit of a spilt coffee look. I used two different brown water colors for the splattering on this card.
All of the cards in today's post are Mini Slimline Cards. Which is a 6" x 6" pice of paper folded in half. These fit in a #6-3/4 envelope, the standard size envelope you can buy at the grocery store in the US.
2 - Stencil over your Patterned Paper
When stenciling over patterned paper you want to carefully choose the pattern of the paper and the stencil that is going over the top. One stencil that I think would go with several patterned papers is a Polka dot stencil. For my background on this card I chose to use a striped paper and a wavy stencil. The medium I chose, Glitz Glitter Gel allowed for the strips to show through the stenciling but added a fun glittered pattern to the paper.
You can also do this technique with ink over the stencil or any other paste or spread.
3 Stamp on your Patterned Paper
I chose a polka dot pattern for this background and stamped on it with donuts, coffee cups and the word sweet. I loved customizing the paper, a perfect fit for the images and sentiment I chose.
I could not stop there with this paper though. I added some splatter to this one as well. You could add splatter to any of the techniques that I am sharing today.
4 Doodle on your Patterned Paper
This is a fun one. I chose this white paper with black polka dots to doodle on, with a black fine tip pen. I also practiced the doodling I wanted to do before committing it to the paper. I added in the small dots and flowers. And I even ended up doodling on the cup to add some hearts. I had the most fun making this background.
5 - Ink up your Patterned Paper
This paper with the tea cups on it was the perfect paper to add some Vintage Photo ink to. I started at the bottom and worked my way towards the top getting lighter as I went up. I then spritzed the paper with water to get some lighter splattered areas. Then I DOODLED on this paper TOO! I add the strings with tea bags. This played into the tag I added to the card, with a tea bag like look.
Those are all five the techniques, all very easy to do on ANY patterned paper you might already have. It may even help you to use up paper that you might not love as much as others. I hope you'll give these techniques a try.
Here is the video, I'd love for you to watch with me and see this cards come together.

Are you like me and that you have to tell yourself it is okay to take a break. And sometimes we need to hear that from someone else. And maybe there are times we get to be the person to let a friend know it is okay to take a break. That is what my card is all about today.
A day in the park with music, books, coffee, chocolate, a kitty and NO ALLERGIES of course, sounds perfect!
It would be so nice, but are you like me, would you be laying there thinking about all the things you should be doing instead?
That's when we need the gentle reminder...
It's okay to take a break. I love that the message is not see when the recipient first looks at the card. and Then it is revealed as a gentle reminder.
As you can see I had a lot of fun with this card, using a bunch of images from the Me Time and the Not Today stamp sets to create this scene. These sets come with other images that make them great for indoor scenes too; a couch, chair and bath tub. Be sure to check out the April Box of the Month, Lazy Days from Not 2 Shabby.

Hello there and welcome to the Coffee Lovers Hop! I am hopping along with Not 2 Shabby today, sharing this brand new digital stamp set release, made especially for this hop. It is the Some Bunny Bring me Coffee digital stamp set. This set was designed by Jamie Peters at Not 2 Shabby. Take a close look at the egg, it has a coffee cup and coffee beans on it!
I am apart of the Instagram Hop, so if you'd like to be entered to win the $25 shopping spree at the Not 2 Shabby Shop make sure you click over to my Instagram page and start the hop there or search #n2scoffeehop . Here's a quick and easy link to get there: https://www.instagram.com/carrierhoades
I also wanted to share today's creation with you in a video so that you could see how I made my swirled coffee background, using Shaving Cream. It's an old technique, but a good one. Watch me get all messy right here.
If you can not see the video up on this screen, you can also view it right here.
Making a shaving cream background is so much fun! I love the swirly look it creates that looks good enough to eat. Have you tried a shaving cream background before?
Here's an up close look at today's card.
I LOVE digital stamps for a couple reasons; one you get instant gratification. You see a stamp you love, you purchase it and print it out! No waiting on the mail! Second, I can make that stamp any size I like. Third, I can easily make a mirror image of that stamp.
If you have not tried Digital Stamp Sets yet, I highly recommend just giving it a try! You can find this digital stamp set, Some Bunny bring me some Coffee, right here.
The printer I use for my Digital image is the HP Envy 7645. I print out on light weight card stock that I buy in a ream at Walmart. It is great for Copic coloring.
I also like to use my Cameo Silhouette to print and cut out my Digital images. In my design studio in Cameo I am able to adjust the size of the image and group them together like I did with the egg for today's card. All of the things I did for my card you can do just by printing out your images. I also designed the pink shaker frame for this card in using my Cameo Silhouette. You can see a clip of it in my video.
The shaker elements I used are from Trinity Stamps. They have a TON of embellishments. Clay elements, half pearls in all colors, sequins, confetti and gems and more! These clay elements are made to look like real sprinkles, this mix is called Neapolitan.

Hello Friends! What is your favorite medium to color with? Are you an alcohol marker user? Do you love water brush pens? Or how about colored pencils?
Today I am coloring in the same image with all three of these mediums. It seems to me that images of hands are very popular in the stamp industry right now. So, I thought I'd share my favorite stamp set of hands, Happy Together from the Not 2 Shabby shop, and show my 3 favorite coloring mediums and make 3 cards. Sounds fun right???
Watch the fun right here...
If you can not see the video on this screen you can also watch it right here.
The first medium I used is Copic Markers, my go to and favorite coloring medium right now.
I stamped my image on Accent Opaque Super Smooth 80lb. White card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
For the hand on the right I used the following markers:
E27, E25, E25
For the hand on the left I used:
E35, E33
The purpose of today's post is not to share expert tips on coloring techniques. I do not claim to be an expert at coloring. I just love to color. I love to use and try different things. I wanted to share with you how this image looks colored 3 different ways. And I want to encourage you to just play and have fun with your coloring. You do not have to be an expert to enjoy coloring with any of these mediums.
For each of my cards I used the Frosted and Tufted paper pad from Not 2 Shabby to pick a background paper that I liked for each of the colored hands. This one has a Swiss dots pattern on light pink. I then used my Conversation Hearts stencil from Lawn Fawn to stencil on some Glitz Glitter Gel love the top fo that. This made for a fun background on each of the cards.
For my second card I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens.
These are a waterbed marker with a brush tip, These markers blend with each other and with water.
I used Bristol Smooth paper and Versafine Onyx Black ink.
For the right on the left I used the following markers:
Dark Brown #062
Mid Brown #065
For the hand on the left I used:
Oatmeal #064
Natural Beige #107
If I was to redo on of set of hands it would be this one. The two dark browns I used had different under tones. One being more of a pink undertone and the other yellow. So I did not get the blend I was hoping for and so I kept trying to fix it by adding more. I feel okay with how it turned out but would be happy to give it another go.
To cut out the hands and sentiments for these cards I used my Pix Scan Mat and my Cameo Silhouette. I have a quick tutorial of this in the video if you are interested.
For my third cards I pulled out my Arteza Colored Pencils.
I used Accent Opaque Super Smooth White card stock and Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
The pencils I used for the hand on the right are:
Dark Chocolate #A118
Sienna Brown #A048
The pencils I used for the hand on the left are:
Burnt Ochre #A113
Peaches & Cream #A022
The Glitz Glitter Gel really shows up on this dark brown patterned paper. In some lights is reflects a little green.
I really love how the colored pencil looks. I don't color with them as much as I used to. How about you, do you use colored pencils or markers more?
Here is a look at all three cards together. I would love to know which of the three you like best. I enjoyed coloring all of them and finding so many different skin tones to bring to life.
Below I have listed and linked all the supplies I used to make today's cards.

Hello my stamping friends! Today's post is jam packed with goodness! I am showing off the new Valentines Box from Not 2 Shabby. And using a coordinating digital stamp set (Sprinkled with Love) with the kit to make 2 cards. In the making of these two cards I have a tutorial on how to use the Cameo Silhouette electronic cutter to combine two images to make one new one and then print and cut that image. With this new image print and cut I will show you two cards, one for Valentine's Day and one for Christmas. My Christmas card is for the Crafty Christmas Club monthly hop. Be sure to read to the end of this post to hop along and get your monthly dose of Christmas inspiration! Okay, let's jump in!
Check the Not 2 Shabby Valentines Box, the Cameo Silhouette tutorial, and the cards in the video below.
Here you can see I made one card for Valentines Day and the other for Christmas.
Both of my cards are MINI Slimline cards, which is a 6" x 6" piece of card stock folded in half at 3". Cute and easy! And the perfect size for using a 6" x 6" paper pack. Just cut the paper in half and you have a card front. But for my cards I cut my paper to 2-7/8" x 5-7/8" to have a very thin white border around the paper. The paper is from the Frosted and Tufted paper pack (currently only available in the Valentines Box)
My cupcake and cookie image is actually 2 digitals stamps that I combined to make one before printing it out and cutting it out with my Cameo Silhouette. You can see how in the video above.
I used Copic Markers to color up my image. When I work with Digital stamps I used light weight card stock from Walmart that comes in a ream. It reads through the printer very easily. I use a HP Envy 7645 for printing and have not had any issues with the printed image bleeding when I Copic color them.
My sentiment is from the Sprinkled with Love stamp set. So, the Sprinkled with love set comes in a clear stamp set and as a digital stamp set. It was fun to mix the digital stamps with the actual stamp set. I added a few stickers and sequins from the Valentines Box around my sentiment to finish off the card.
And now for the Christmas version of my card for the Crafty Christmas Club Hop.
The Crafty Christmas Club is a group of crafters who share Christmas creations on the 25th of every month.
To make some Christmas treats for this card, I went with red frosting and a green cupcake wrapper. I think this cupcake would be so much fun to color up for different holiday and themes. I feel like this cupcake is chocolate peppermint. Red and White frosting would have been another great choice for this card.
For the background I used the white tufted print from the Frosted and Tufted paper pack.
I added one of the bows from the Ephemera pack, it was not quite the right color to match my card so I colored over it with my RV11 Copic marker, which is one of the colors I used to color the frosting.
I used the same sentiment on this card, To my sweet friend. And on the inside, Merry Christmas.
To accent this card I added a few of the small white sequins. I think it is a yummy Christmas card, even thought my daughter says it looks more like it's a watermelon cupcake. What do you think?
Now it is time to hop along and see what the other makes did for the Crafty Christmas Club January Hop. Next up is Tania Cordie, check out her creation right here. Continue to hop along from there for more Christmas inspiration.

Today is release day at the Not 2 Shabby Shop. I am excited for this Valentines Day release because there are so many cute things! To kick off release day I am sharing a card with my favorite stamp set from the release. It is the Sprinkled with Love stamp set. I love images of food! Especially sweets! So, this stamp set is right up my alley. There are two other stamp sets in this release that are also darling; Bouquet of Happiness and Happy Together. This release also launches the very first Not 2 Shabby exclusive paper packs! They are darling papers, great for Valentines Day and beyond. You are also going to love the new ephemera pack and sticker packs! If you do love it all you can get the entire release as a bundle for a 15% discount, plus free shipping!
Now let's take a look at the Sprinkled with Love set in action.
If you can not see the video on this screen, you can also view it here.
I colored in each of my cookies using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush makers. Trying to match them to the colors in my clay heart sprinkles. I have all the the markers I used shown in the video, if you are interested in the exact color combinations. I find coloring with these markers to be a very quick and easy way to color my stamped images in. But there are two crucial things you need to be successful with this coloring method. The first is Bristol Smooth paper, it has a very smooth surface which helps these water based markers to glide across the paper. I have not liked the results I get with other papers and the Zig Markers. Second is you need an ink that will not bleed, I use Versafine Onyx Black ink. I have all of these things listed and linked for you below.
I used the slimline scalloped frame from Trinity Stamps to create the outside of my shaker, I thought this might look like the outside of a box of cookies with a window to see in. This die cut is 8-1/2" x 3-1/2". I added a window sheet to the back of the die set and put my cookies all in a row behind the window, so they appear to be in the box as well.
Behind the cookies is a sheet of printed paper from the Winter Hues Slimline paper pack from Trinity Stamps. I love the light pink and light blue together.
The shaker elements I used are clay hearts from the Craft Supplies by CC Etsy shop, one of my favorite places to get shaker elements.
My card has two sentiments. One I stamped right on the window sheet with White StazOn ink. The sentiment reads, " You Make Life Sweet". White Staz On ink is permanent and so perfect for stamping on a window sheet. But you do want to be sure to clean/ scrub your stamp immediately after stamping. And, if you mess up on stamping your image, a little rubbing alcohol will take it off. This sentiment is from the Sweet Senti-mini stamp set from Trinity Stamps.
The second sentiment is from the Sprinkled with Love stamp set and says just that. I embossed it on a little tag and tied it around the card, giving it more of that "box of cookies" feel.
If you would like to see creations with another of the stamp sets from this release you can watch my Bouquet of Happiness video right here.

Today I am sharing some hacks for using the Cameo Silhouette for card making with digital stamps.
Several of you have commented, letting me know that you have not used your Silhouette in a while. An electronic cutter, like the Silhouette can be a great tool for card making. In this video I am going to show you the following hacks..
Sizing of digital images to perfectly fit your card
Print and cut card front panels with digital images on them
How to make masks of your digital images
Creating custom sentiments to print and cut
Create custom sentiments that are white with a black background
Create a die cut background around a digital image
Plus, I am sharing 3 totally cute cards using the Snow Happy Digital stamp from the Not 2 Shabby Shop.
Have you tried digital stamps? If not let me tell you what I love about them.
You can purchase a digital stamp from the comfort of home and play with it that same day.
You can make the images any size you like.
They are very reasonably priced.
Now let's take a closer look at each of these cards.
On this card I used my Silhouette to size the digital stamp to fill my card front. I also created a mask so that I could ink blend a night sky behind him. And I created my own sentiment that is black on white with a die cut look.
I print and cut my image so that it was on a 4" x 5-1/4" panel. I like to use a light weight card stock that I get by the ream at Walmart. I use a HP 7645 printer to print out my images and then I am able to Copic color with out any problems.
For this next card I used my Silhouette to create a snowy backdrop for my snowman image.
You can see the snow falling and snowflakes are cut from the paper around the snowman. This is very easy to do on the Silhouette and you can see me do it in the video above.
I also made another custom sentiment for this card. This time in a rectangular shape.
After coloring in my snowman and splattering it with Perfect Pearls, I popped up the panel on to a piece of light blue card stock. I love the shadows this gives the background.
I just couldn't stop with two cards, so I made this third one with a distinct Valentine's look. I colored in the background around the snowman with my B01 Copic Marker. I created the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment using the Oatmeal Raisin Cookie font that I purchase and downloaded from the Silhouette Design store. And this is the font I used on all the sentiments I made. I did make three others that I used on the insides of these cards.
And after coloring in the image I splattered the entire image with white acrylic paint for a snowy look.
I am so in love with this Snow Happy digital stamp. You can easily use this digital image with out the Cameo Silhouette electronic cutter. But I hope these card making hacks have inspired you to dust off your Silhouette and use it for card making, there are so many possibilities.
If you have any questions about the techniques I used or using the Cameo Silhouette, feel free to leave that question below. I am more than happy to try and help!

Today I am sharing how I made this sign for my Hot Cocoa Bar and giving you a tour of it as well!
On my sign I am using an image I downloaded from the Silhouette Design Store, Hot Cocoa by Jillibean Soup.
That is the image on the base of my sign, which I made to look like it was on a chalkboard, using Print and Cut in my Cameo Silhouette studio. If you do not have a Silhouette you could easily find a hot cocoa printable. Etsy is another good option for things like this.
They add the touch of cutesy, that I love. But a sign like this would be equally as cute with out the critters.
I added a bit of holly and a bow to finish it off and added it to my Hot Cocoa Bar.
If you'd like to learn more about using the Cameo Silhouette for paper crafting you might like this video too. I use the same Holiday Latte digital stamp to show you how to Print and Cut your digital images and how to make a shape card.
I would love to know, do you have a Hot Cocoa bar, or have you done one? Tell me about it, I am in love with them right now and would so enjoy hearing about yours.

This card all started with the desire to do some no line coloring with the Winter Friends stamp set. And wanting to pull out the Slimline Scallop Peekaboo die set I have had for a little bit from Whimsy Stamps and play with it too.
That resulted in a Slimline Peekaboo shaker card with the Winter Friends. And they are so cute colored with no line coloring. You can see it all come together in this video.
If you can not see the video on this screen you can also view it right here.
The Slimline Scallop Peekaboo die set has two flaps that open to reveal whatever scene or sentiment or gift card you want to put in there, so many possibilities.
I added trees and snow to the background using the Winter Sentiments stamp set from Not 2 Shabby. This is a stamp set you can purchase or get for free with a $60 purchase at the Not 2 Shabby shop. You can also get the Winter Friends stamp set when your order reaches $100! Both are darling and work so good together!
I love that you open the flaps to this wintery scene. I think no line coloring is perfect for this scene because the trees from the Winter Sentiments stamp set are solid and stamped in green ink, they do not have a black outline. And with the no line colored images my critters do not have a black outline either. So they coordinate well with the trees and give the card an over all softer look that is great with a snowy scene.
Here you can see the bunny up close. I used Copic Markers to do my no-line coloring. I used two shades of pink and two shades of red for the bunny's winter clothing. For the bunny itself I used three shades of warm gray; W4, W2 and W0. Then I added some highlights with a white gel pen. I needed a bit more detail on his eyes, so I used a mechanical pencil to draw in the eyelids and lashes. It was the perfect touch.
I colored the fox with E19, E15 and E13 Copic Markers. And the same warm gray markers for the white areas. I used YR17, YR13 and YR11 for his hat and scarf. Again, I used a white gel pen for highlight, which I feel really brings these images to life. You can see how well the no lined color image goes with the solid tree images and snowflakes.
What do you think about those amazing shaker elements? These are the Charleston Sequin Mix by Catherine Pooler, and were the inspiration for the colors I chose for this card. Honestly this color combination has been one of my favorites this holiday season.

This month, to make it more fun, I am collaborating with my friend Bitty Penny. We have been following each other on YouTube and just became friends. So, you have two fun videos to watch today! We thought we would make it even more fun and add another element to this challenge! And that is to make a shape card!
Another great thing about this challenge is that YOU are invited to play along. Create a project using this month's challenge and post it to social media, like Instagram and use the hashtag #not2shabbydigichallenge so I can find you. At the end of the month a winner will randomly be selected to win a free digital stamp from the Not 2 Shabby Shop!
For my shape card I thought I would challenge myself to use my Silhouette Cameo to create the shape card and print and cut my digital stamp. The digital stamp I chose is the new Holiday Latte.
If you can not see the video here on this screen, you can also watch it right here.
And now check out what Bitty Penny made for this collaboration and challenge in her video right here.
Now let's take a closer look at my Holiday Latte Shape Card.
I ADORE this digital stamp!
What is so cool about digital stamps is that you can change the size of the image. I thought I would make this latte be my card and make it BIG. The finished size of this card is 3-3/4" x 6-1/2". It will fit nicely in a slimline envelope, or in a hand made envelope.
I colored in my image with my Copic Markers. I just use my HP Envy 7645 printer and light weight card stock for all my digital stamp and have not had an issue coloring them in with Copic Markers.
After coloring in the cup I then stamped a snowflake pattern over the cup in white. The snowflake is from the Winter Sentiments stamp set from Not 2 Shabby. You can get this stamp set for free when you make a purchase of $60 at the Not 2 Shabby Shop.
I used my Cameo Silhouette to print and cut my digital stamp as well as create this shape card, you can see how in the video above.
I also used the Winter Sentiments stamp set on the inside of my card, the perfect saying for this card.
And be sure to click over and see the cute shape card that Bitty Penny has created. I love to see what different people do with the same challenge. Speaking of that please join us in this challenge. Grab a digi stamp over at the Not 2 Shabby shop and create something using it and a stand alone die. Post it to Instagram using the hashtag #not2shabbydigichallenge and you will be entered to win a free digital stamp from the Not 2 Shabby Shop. The winner will be notified on the last day of the month.

Hey there. I am back with another Not 2 Shabby video. Today I have made 2 cards with two new stamp sets that are new and exclusive to the Not 2 Shabby Shop. These are stamp sets are both free gifts with purchase.
When you spend $60 at the Not 2 Shabby Shop you will get the Winter Sentiments for FREE and when that order reaches $100 you will ALSO get the Winter Friends stamp set for free. It's a great deal for some darling stamp sets. You can also purchase these stamp set for a great price. See the Winter Sentiments stamp set HERE and the Winter Friends stamp set HERE.
You can watch me make two cards with this set in this video:
If you can not see the video on this screen you can also watch it right here.
Here is the first card I mad with these stamp sets. An A2 card.
I created the background by taking all the little snow/snowflake images from both stamp sets and putting them on one acrylic stamping block. I stamped a piece of Whip Cream card stock with clear pigment ink. Then I applied my two different colors of PanPastels over the top of this. The PanPastels stick to the stamped images, creating a more concentrated, darker image than the area around it. I just LOVE this look. Then I splattered this with Liquid Stardust for some great shimmer. Then to make sure my PanPastels never smears I sprayed a Matte Fixative Spray over the background.
Over the top of this added the Lift the Flap Tree backdrop die from Lawn Fawn, die cut from Tin Pail Cardstock, a very light gray.
I added snowy border along the bottom of die cut from Pixie Dust card stock, for a glittery hill that my critters could stand on.
For my stamped images I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whip Cream card stock. Then I put the stamped images onto my PixScan mat for my Cameo Silhouette. I took a picture of the mat with my phone, sent that pictures to my computer. I then opened that pictures in my Silhouette design studio program. I trace the images and then off set my tracing with a spacing of .040. This allows me to have die cut looking images. Once I have these images traced. I can then cut out these shapes to use the next time I want to stamp with this stamp set. In the video for these cards you can see how I used those blank die cuts and my MISTI stamp positioning tool to stamp on the die cuts with precision.
I colored in all my images with Copic Markers and popped them on with foam squares.
After making my first card I was inspired to make another. I just love these critters so much! I wanted to have more of that snowy sky showing and I also thought it would be cute to have the Lift the Flap Trees die cut from a lavender card stock. So, a slimline card was born.
