Hello there my stamping friends! Today I am making MINI things with the Car Critters stamp set by Lawn Fawn!
Mini, meaning a mini scene, and mini card and a tiny shape card! I had so much fun making all three of these I hope that you will join me and watch this episode.
And now let's look at the first card that has a MINI Scene.
Sometimes making an entire scene can be overwhelming. Making a small or mini scene can be just the right size. With a little bit of masking I was able to make this beach scene for my Car Critters to go swimming in.
But while they were swimming a crab found it's way into their car and started listening to some tunes!
Next up is the mini card, a Shadow Box card. I love the 3D feel of a Shadow Box card and that they lay flat and fit in an A2 sized envelope.
In this scene they are out for a drive I the woods. Which in Idaho is not that far away. We can drive for less than an hour and be in the hills and tress and smell the fresh mountain air.
That is why I colored this card to look like my blue car. We love going to the mountains, usually with an RV in tow.
You could make any scene in this card for your bears to go on a drive to. A beach, a safari, the park, so many fun ways to use this combo of the Shadow Box die set and the Car Critters stamp set.
And here is the mini car shaped card. I just attached the stamped die cut car to the top of the card base. The card base started out at a folded I half piece of white card stock. I used the car die to die cut the shape card by putting the top of the car die just off the folded edge of the paper. When the die hangers off the edge it will not cut that fold. Then you adhere the card to this, creating a car shaped card! This would make a great gift tag, love note, or add it to a card as a kind of lift the flap interactive element.
Those are my three mini creations with the Car Critters stamp set. Be sure to tune in next Tuesday for Episode 4! More fun ideas for you with this stamp set are on their way!

Welcome back my stamping friends. Today, I am sharing Episode 2 of my June Stamp Set of the Month series featuring the Car Critters stamp set by Lawn Fawn.
Today I am making Reveal Wheel cards that are also slimline! I will show you two different ways to create slimline Reveal Wheel cards. On of them is a double Reveal Wheel Card! TWO reveal wheels on one card! If you love Reveal Wheel then you should really check out my Two Window Reveal Wheel card!
Let's take a look at today's cards.
It's a birthday theme this week!
This first card is how we use to do birthdays. Driving around picking up all our friends and heading out to a fun location for a party, like bowling!
You can see that this card has two square reveal wheels on it. So the balloon gets a different face with the turn of the wheel and gets a new passenger with every turn of the wheel.
Let's look...
The additional critters in the car come from the Coaster Critters stamp set. I love seeing the car get all crowded with friends. Even though I colored the fox wrong! I had to go with it because I did not want to redo the entire reveal wheel piece. But not to worry the fox is colored right on the next card. And then I thought we are all different, and so maybe it's okay if the fox on this card is different. What do you think, would you have re done it?
Now let's look at how I used the Square Reveal Wheel to make a slimline version.
This is what birthday parties look like now days. It's a birthday parade. They have decorated their cars, they are throwing candy and have gifts to drop off. But one card is doing all the things. This is grandmas car, she brought balloons as you can see above.
She brought cake!
She brought presents!
And she is playing some good music!

Happy June! A new month means it is time for a new stamp set of the month series!
This month's stamp set of the month is....... Car Critters by Lawn Fawn!
Each week, on Tuesday, I will be brining you new ideas with this set for the entire month of June!
Today's card is a Flippin' Awesome card. The Flippin Awesome die set, with it's ability to make a waterfall card easy, is one of my favorite interactive cards to make. So, it had to be the first card I made with the Car Critters!
The Car Critters stamp set is a smaller set and a great price point. I have so many fun ideas with this setI can not wait to share them with you!
With each flip of this waterfall style card a new scene inside the car is revealed and this sunset drive evolves as well, as the color of the clouds also change.
In the first scene these little bears head out on a sunset drive or road trip.
They are happy and listening to tunes.
Until someone took a wrong turn.
The map to the rescue, perfect if you don't have cell service on the back roads. Do you see the sunset getting darker?
And then all is right again and we finish with a heartfelt sentiment.
I think this card would be great for an anniversary card, or bday card for a significant other. I left the inside blank so I can customize it when the time comes.
You can watch the making of this card right here.
If you are new to my YouTube channel, please feel free to subscribe. I have a few new videos a week.
Be sure to tune back in next Tuesday for Episode Two. I have something fun planned, crossing my fingers that it will work out how it is in my mind!

Hello my stamping friends. I am excited to bring you Episode 3 of my Rainbow Turnabout series! Today is a fun one! We are not making rainbows!
When my daughter first saw this stamp set she thought it was to make watermelons. So, that is where this idea was born!
Do you see watermelons???
Let's take a look at my watermelon card.
To create the watermelon background I first stamped my Rainbow Turnabout image one time in Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink and embossed it with clear powder. I wanted to set this ink so that I could watercolor in the fruit part of the watermelon with out watercoloring the rind. For the watercoloring I pressed my Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink down on my glass mat and used a water blending brush to water color in the fruit. When that was dry I drew in the seeds with a black journaling pen.
The large watermelon on the front of this card was made using the Brighter Days stamp set, also from Concord & 9th. It was designed to work with the Rainbow Turnabout background and makes for a great watermelon too! The Brighter Days die set has a die for cutting out raindrops that is perfect for my watermelon seeds!!! I love that you can get the Brighter Days stamp and die set in a bundle for a bit of savings, thanks Concord & 9th!!!
Now it is time for another sweet treat, the Popsicle!
This card was a little bit easier than the last. I stamped the Rainbow Turnabout one time with the Picked Raspberry ink and then watercolored the popsicles with that same ink. The sticks I painted on using Tea Stain Distress Oxide ink.
The large popsicle is also from the Brighter Days set. The drips are that same raindrop die! I think the thing that makes these popsicles POP, is the addition of the white gel pen to give them the look of shine.
You can see these cards in the making right here, in Episode 3 of my Rainbow Turnabout series!

In this week's episode featuring the Rainbow Turnabout stamp set from Concord & 9th I am showing you two ways to emboss this image for some fun backgrounds. I'm taking those backgrounds and making 5" x 5" cards with the Oh, Shoot! stamp set, also from Concord & 9th.
You can watch this episode right here:
Now let's take a closer look at the cards.
For the first card I embossed the turnabout with clear ink on white paper with clear embossing powder. Then I used Distress Oxide Inks to ink blend over this for an emboss resist background. It is such a fun background that can be used for any stamp set you'd like to pair with it.
I chose to use the new Oh, Shoot stamp set. Look at that fun camera! I love it and it has an interactive option. The picture image can pull in and out of the camera, I die, it is so cute!
The die cut smile is also from the Oh, Shoot! die set. Doesn't it look good in glitter paper! The addition of the large gems remind me of the old time flash cubes.
CARD TWO
For this background I actually made 5 backgrounds, doing an entire 6"x 6" panel of each color. Stamping each with clear ink, clear powder and embossing it. The raised up shiny rainbows are so cool. Then I cut them into 1" strips to make the background for this 5" x 5" card.
I colored the camera the same and did an assortment of stamped instant picture images around the card, including one mini shaker. Which was easy to make the with coordinating die that cuts out the center of the instant picture image. The hearts inside are from a die in this same set and were die cut from black glitter paper.
Thank you so much for stopping by, remember to tune in next Tuesday for Episode 3 of the Rainbow Turnabout series! Below are all the supplies I used to make these cards. Hello my crafty friend and welcome to Episode One of my May Stamp Set of the Month Series.
This month I am featuring the Rainbow Turnabout stamp set by Concord & 9th. I am a huge turnabout fan. A background stamp that you can stamp in multiple colors, it's just awesome! So, when they came out with a rainbow turnabout, I was giddy!
Episode One is Bright vs. Pastel! I love bright colors so I knew I would be inking this goody up with the brightest I have, but I thought it would also look good in pastels. So, I am doing both! Brights VS Pastels! Who will win? You be the judge.
You are going to want to watch the video so you can see the making of the backgrounds and the inks I used. Watch it right here:
Now let's take a closer look at each card.
The is the first of the bright cards. I used Altenew inks for all my stamping. They sell their inks in sets of four colors that are the same, like 4 reds that range in shades. I love that, it's great for stamp layering and turnabout stamping too. Because for my pastel card I took the lightest shades of the same bright inks I used for this card!
Also, on each of the cards, I incorporated the Sew Happy die set from Concord & 9th and added stitched elements. Like this hello in rainbow colors.
The thread I used is also from Concord & 9th, the kit they have has great colors in it!
Here is the first pastel card.
Loving how the pastel came out, more than I thought I would. It's just so happy!
Love how the stitched diamond looks on this card, the perfect frame for the tiny sentiment. All the sentiments I used are from the Rainbow Turnabout set.
Next up is the second bright card.
For this card I switched up my inks a little bit. I skipped orange and used a teal color. I love how it turned out! I like that the teal in the rainbow matches the teal clouds. It really helps to tie it all together.
I am so in love with this hello with the ombre effect, using 3 different threads from the Concord & 9th pack.
Next us we have our last card and the second pastel card.
For this card I used thread I had on hand as it more closely matched this fun colors in this background.
Each of these cards has their own look and feel with the different colors. Do you have a favorite? I love them all and had such a fun time making them. I even got my daughter stitching!
Be sure to tune in on Tuesday for episode 2 with this Rainbow Turnabout stamp set!
Here all the the supplies I used to make these cards as well as other stitching products that Concord & 9th has to offer. Affiliate links have been used. Welcome my stamping friends, to episode 5 of my Peek-a-Boo Fair series! It's been a fun month of creations with this Avery Elle stamp set, a great addition to the Peek-a-Boo line! In this episode I am jumping in with both feet to do some no-line coloring. Really it's a light line coloring. Meaning, you stamp your images in a light color of ink and use that as a guide to color in your image so that the line goes away and only your coloring remains. For this technique I used Antique Linen Distress Ink to stamp my images. I used stamp from the Peek-a-Boo Fair set, Peek-a-Boo Pals and Market stand for the card. I also brought in Peek-a-Boo Pets for the cute treat holder I made to match my card.
To color in my images I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers on Bristol Smooth card stock. My method is to outline the image with a darker marker and blend that softer with a lighter marker and color that out either with the same marker or a third lighter marker.
You might be able to tell right off the bat, but this card is a 5" x 7". I needed a bigger area to create my night at the fair scene, so that I could put the ticket booth next to the Ferris wheel.
The background on this card was created using PanPastels from the Spellbinders shop. First I put all the hearts and stars from the Peek-a-Boo Fair and Peek-a-Boo Pal stamp sets on one block and stamped them onto Whip Cream card stock with clear pigment ink. Then I applied the PanPastels from the Rich Sorbet collection. The pastel sticks to the ink making the image slightly darker. It's a fast way to create a background, it takes so little pastel to get this look and they blend with almost no effort.
In this photo you can see the gold shimmer on the background, added using Shimmer Gold Splash Spray by Fun Stampers Journey.
To take this card up a notch, I added to the inside of the card as well.
Now let's take a look at the treat bag I made using the Treat Topper die by Avery Elle.
The farm animals have snuck out at night to get themselves a treat! That is cotton candy in my 4" x 6" cellophane bag and not dryer lint, fyi.
I love that this die cuts the perfect bag topper with a little handle. I added a sentiment tag to the handle to finish off the look. The little farm critters are from the Peek-a-Boo Pets stamp set. I LOVE how the little pig turned out. I think I am getting the hang of no-line coloring and will have to keep playing with it.

Today is all about slimline, rainbows, unicorns and watercoloring! Sounds like fun to me!
In Episode 4 I am making slimline cards! My current favorite thing to make! So, you knew there would be an episode with slimlines.
I made two different cards, like I like to do, both using watercoloring to color in my images. And it was so fun playing with watercolors!
Take a look at today's cards.
I pulled out a couple other Avery Elle sets for todays cards, Rainbows stamp set and die set and Peek-a-Boo Balloon stamp and die set as well. I really wanted to make a "somewhere over the rainbow" card. And there is where the unicorn is going in his hot air balloon.
I used my Arteza watercolors to paint all of my images and the sky background as well.
To give them a bit of shimmer I sprayed the sky and rainbow with Avery Elle Clear Shimmer Spray. A pretty easy card to make.
These slimline cards measure: 9" x 8" scored at 4"
The card front layer is 3-3/4" x 8-3/4"
For card two I used the Rainbows die set to make a shaker for the front of the card.
Each of the rainbow strips were die cut from a watercolored panel to give character to each piece. I also used those watercolored panels to stamp my rain drops on.
My shaker elements are from Nuvo, Rainbow Quartz Triangles. I might just adore these little iridescent triangles! I used them in Episode 3 for both of my shaker cards.
You can watch Episode 4 right here:

Thank you for taking time out of your day with me!
In Episode 3 I am making my favorite kind of card, shaker cards with the Avery Elle stamp set, Peek-a-Boo Fair.
For the shaker elements in both of these cards I used Nuvo Rainbow Quartz Triangles. Like kinda look like unicorn horns!
For card one, I brought in the Peek-a-Boo Pals stamp set to go with my Peek-a-Boo Fair set. My unicorn needed some friends to ride the Ferris wheel with him, that is where the sloth and panda came from.
One thing I really love about both of these cards is the Cloud Mat background. If you watch the video you can see how I used this die by Avery Elle three ways to make the cloud backgrounds in these cards.
If you look close you can see the blue sky in the background, that look was created with a little ink smooshing and Distress Oxide ink.
Card two features the Market Stand stamp set, another great set for all your Peek-a-Boo critters.
I turned mine into a kissing booth.
I love the rainbow clouds in the background.
I was brave on this card and hand wrote in the sign with "UNICORN KISSES". Not sure I love it, I wish my hand writing was better. But I am letting go of perfectionism!
You can see the making of these cards in this video.
Here is the supply list for these cards. Affiliate links have been used at no cost to you, thank you for your support!
Thank you for spending part of your day with me today! I'll be back again soon with more fun creations.
Hello my crafty friends! Welcome back, today's post is tons of fun! Pictures might not do these fun Tri-Fold cards justice, so be sure to catch the video! Both of today's card feature a unique opening to a Tri-Fold card. I cannot wait to show them to you.
First up, let's take a look at how the Ferris wheel card opens.
With some partial die cutting, the front of this card is the Ferris wheel.
Then you open up the sunset panel to the inside of the card.
And there is a cute critter from another Peek-a-Boo set, Peek-a-Boo Scary Pals set, on the inside.
Moving on to card two.
Love is in the air right here....
When you open the front cover, the bumper car layer, there is a second sentiment.
And a cute little surprise on the inside.
I'd love for you to check out the video and see the making of these cards.

Hey there crafty friends! It's April already and that means it is time for a new Stamp Set of the Month series. For the month of April I will be highlighting the Avery Elle stamp set, Peek-a-Boo Fair! It is the cutest stamp set, with a Ferris wheel, unicorn, and bumper car! And since I am already in love with the Peek-a-Boo collection from Avery Elle it was a must have set!
For today's cards I am putting this set in motion! To create motion I used an Action Wobbler and the Reveal Wheel die set.
Card one features the Ferris wheel. I colored a unicorn for each of the carriages, cause they are sooooo darn cute with their little hooves hanging over the edge! The pink unicorn is the one popped up on an action wobbler. There's always that one guy who has to rock the carriage on the Ferris wheel! Make sure to watch the video making of these cards so you can see it in action.
For the amazing sky I used the Cloud Mat die by Avery Elle. It's a great die to use behind the Ferris wheel because they way the die cuts out the wheel, you can see through the spindles. It give the scene a bit of depth.
Card two features the Bumper Car and is set in motion using the Reveal Wheel die set by Lawn Fawn.
As you turn the wheel back and forth the Bumper car moves. It's too cute!

It's Episode 5 of my Really High Five Series! Yay. I really do love it when I have five weeks to share ideas with you on stamp sets that I love. So this week, I am taking the Really High Five stamp set and pairing it with the Flippin Awesome die set, also by Lawn Fawn.
I love this die set so much! Back in the day I used to make my own cards with this technique or interactive element on them. It was a lot of work to remember or find my notes on how to cut and where to score and all those things. So, when I saw the Flippin Awesome die set by Lawn Fawn I knew I needed it.
First up, I wanted to make each picture of the interactive scene be a continuation of the previous, kind of like a flip book. So, I took the rabbit from Really High Five and made it look as if he were doing a flip on the trampoline. Each pictures or scene changes just a little and has a sentiment that builds with each picture.
Follow along to see each of the scenes:
And at the end, a gift card! The Diagonal Gift Card die set fits perfect on this die cut.
I finished off the card with some cute stamped image, the mouse floating by at the end of a balloon. And some bugs from the Bug Deal stamp set, another of my favorite stamp sets.
For Card Two, I made a different scene on each square and tried to make a simpler version of the Flippin Awesome card. I used the Flippin Awesome add on die set, that has two frames in it. The scalloped frame is a great base for the Flippin Awesome mechanism. And the rectangle frame is the perfect layer for the last panel of the Flippin Awesome mechanism, if you do not want to put a gift card there.
Let's take a look at this card start to finish.
You can see the making of these cards in the video below.

Hello my stamping friends, welcome back. Today I am bringing you Episode 4 of my Really High Five Series. Today's episode is all about shakers! I love a shaker card, if you have been a blog follower for a while now you already know this.
For the first card I am doing something fun and different with a shaker card. I put a shaker on top of a shaker card! Two shakers in one!
The balloon that the bear is holding is a shaker element on top of this shaker card. It's not just me, that's cool, right???
You can watch the video below and see how I made both of the shakers on this card.
I love this bear and how the illustration makes him look like he's really in motion. He can either be jumping in the air or trailing behind a balloon. BUT, that is not all, if you put him in a different scene....
He and his foxy friend are doing the backstroke at a pool party! And don't forget about the cricket, he wants to join in the fun too! This card is my entry for the Lawn Fawnatics challenge #73 - Birthday! We have a lot of pool party birthdays in my family because we live across the street from our neighborhood pool.
And this is also a shaker card, I think these sequins look like the water is splashing in the pool.
I used some other Lawn Fawn stamps and dies to complete the scene. The trees are from the Hammock and Trees die set and the stamped images around the trees are from the On The Beach stamp set. Which also has a fox and a bear in it, so it pairs really well with the Really High Five stamp set.
I'd love for you to watch the video and see how I made these cards. Let me know which one if your favorite.
All the supplies I used to make these cards can be found in the supply list below.

I hope you have a few new fun ideas for your Really High Five stamp and die set. I will be back again next Tuesday with a new episode with this stamp set. Yay for 5 episodes!!!
Welcome to Episode 3 of my Really High Five Series!
Are you into Slimline cards? A card that fit a business size envelope? I might have an obsession with them right now. So, of course I wanted to make a slimline card for this series. One that was horizontal scene with the Really High Five critters each jumping on their own trampoline. To make this scene I wanted to use the new Cloudy and Grassy stencils by Lawn Fawn. But the stencils are 6" x 6" and the card front of my slimline card is 8-1/2" x 3-3/4". So, in today's episode I will show you an easy way I found to extend those stenciled scenes seamlessly over the entire length of the horizontal slimline card.
If you know me I couldn't stop with just one card, I had to make a vertical version of this card too. And, card two is.... extra. I put all the things on this card. So, check them out, watch the video below and let me know what you think. Which card is your fave?
Let me take a second to give you the measurements of my slimline cards, a card made to fit in a business sized envelope. I am not sure that there is a standard size. But I like mine to be as big as they can and still fit in the envelope.
Card Front - 3-3/4" x 8-1/2"
Layer - 4" x 8-3/4"
Card Base - 9" x 8-1/2", score at 4-1/4"
Let's take a closer look at the trampoline card, the horizontal card that I extended the stenciled scene to stretch across the entire length of the front panel.
It's a very easy technique to do and I show you how to do it in the video below.
I added some bugs from the Bug Deal stamp set for a little added touch of cuteness. I love the Richard Scarry books and the Little Critter books, they both have busy scenes with little details to find in the pictures, and that is what inspired me. In the Little Critter books there is always a critter, like a frog, mouse, spider or cricket, and on each page and you are looking to see what that little critter is doing in that scene. So, when I saw the Bug Deal stamp set I knew it would be a great addition to this Really High Five stamp set, as well as my entire Lawn Fawn collection. Watch for me to add them to a lot of my upcoming cards!
After making the horizontal card I really wanted to make a vertical slimline card too. The idea came to me to make a birthday party at home scene, using one of my faves, the Build-a-House die set. And this card is definitely as busy scene, just like the Busy World of Richard Scarry.
If you want to see more creations with the Build-a-House die set I did an entire series with this die set.
I have linked the videos to all of the episodes of my Build-a-House series for you below, if you are interested:
The surprise on both of these cards is that the bear is popped up on an action wobbler, so when you give him a little flick, he wobbles. And when you open the door on the house there are presents inside.
Here is the video , so you can watch the making of these cards. If you have yet to do you, you can click over to my YouTube channel to subscribe.

Welcome back, it's Eposide 2 of the Really High Five series! Today, I am showing you how to use the Reveal Wheel and circle add on's to make a two window Reveal Wheel card!
You can see here there is not ONE but TWO windows in this card!
And when you turn the wheel the color of the balloons change.
But the faces do not move! If you were to stamp the faces on the circles then as you turned the wheel the faces would move and end up being sideways. So, I designed a work around. It involves a paper crafters secret weapon, a window sheet! You can see how I used this secret window in Episode 1, right here: https://youtu.be/Ug4Omv-vu1Q
You can see the making of this card and how to create a second window in your Reveal Wheel cards in the video below.

In Episode One, I am sharing two different interactive cards that make the critters look like they are jumping up and down on the trampoline! Since I could not decide which to make, a Pull Tab card or a Slider card, I made both.
When you pull the tab up the critters BOTH jump. You should watch the video to see how I got both the bunny and the mouse to move with the Pull Tab die.
For card two I chose to do the same layout, cause I can not get enough of a rainbow cloud background with the new Cloudy stencil by Lawn Fawn. I really am giddy over the addition of stencils to the Lawn Fawn line! This card features the Slide on Over die set to make the critters bounce.
All you do is tilt the card to bounce the bunny and mouse.
These cards are so much fun to play with.
Watch here to see these cards being made. If you enjoy the video be sure to let me know by giving it a thumbs up.
Remember I will be back again next Tuesday with new ideas with the Really High Five stamp and die set.

It's already time for Episode 4 of my Everyday Purse series! For today's episode I am showing you how to make cards with the Everyday Purse Builder die set.
First, I have some purse shaped cards. Then I have a card with a purse on it. But this is a special card because the purse has a surprise on the inside.
Take a look at all three of the cards I made in this episode and then we will talk about each of them.
I love that this die is so versatile. I can make a purse to put a present in, or easily alter it to create a card.
For this first purse shaped card I die cut two purse pieces and cut the flap off one and all but 1/4" of the flap of the other. This created a hinge to adhere the two pieces together. Using this technique is great if you are using patterned paper that has a directional design on it.
When opened this purse has a die cut circle to add a sentiment and personalize message on, as well as a gift card.
For this purse, I folded a piece of printed paper in half and die cut the purse so that the edge of the die was just below the fold. Ran it though my die cutting machine. Then I had a purse card that is one piece. This is so easy and all I needed to do was then decorate it. But if you have a print on your paper that goes one direction you will want to use the first method for creating your purse card.
This patterned paper is very simple on this inside, it could be written on or I may still add a die cut when I am ready to give it away.
This card is so much fun. I added a pocket to the front of this card, when you open it, you can see money inside.
There is a window sheet covering this opening, so the recipient has to get the money from the inside of the card.
The rip strip die set from My Favorite Things is the perfect thing to use on this card. If you do not have this die you can always leave the pocket open, don't use the window sheet and the money could be removed there.
Be sure to check out the video to see how these cards are made. And if you like it make sure to let me know by giving it a thumbs up.

Hello my crafty friends! Today is episode 3 of my Everyday Purse series.
Today I am going to be altering the purses. Making the purse wider, or thiner and able to accommodate items that are longer than the purse.
Here you can see both the wider version and the thinner version.
You are going to want to watch the video to see how it's done. You are going to love how easy it is!
To alter the purse only takes a few easy steps. For either widening the purse or making it more narrow, you are going to want to cut off the side flaps.
You can see here that the chocolate I used is hanging out the sides of the purse. Removing the side pieces allows you to accommodate larger sized objects.
The chocolate I used is also wider than this purse. So, when adhering the bottom flaps of this purse together I widen the base by not completely overlapping the base flaps. This widened the base about 1/4"- 1/2". You can change the width of your purse by measuring the item you want it to hold and then adhere the base flaps together with the added width you need.
And can we talk about the pattern on this wider purse!!! I am in love with it. I used the To The Point Turnabout stamp set to create it. If you are not familiar with turnabout stamps, you are in for a treat. Imagine being able to stamp and background stamp in multiple colors, quickly and easily creating your own printed paper! That is what turnabout stamps do! This unique method and design of turnabout stamps allows you to take one image stamp it in one color, turn your paper stamp it in another color, for a total of four turns and four colors! I am in love with them! And with the To The Point turnabout you can actually put down 8 colors on your stamped panel!!! I'll show you how in the video that goes with this blog post.
Take a look at the thinner Everyday purse.
This purse is great for using up your printed papers. I decided to do some pattern mixing on this one for a fun look. And since the candy I wanted to put in this purse was thin, I needed to make this purse fit it, so there was not too much room around the candy bar.
To make this purse thiner I just cut the bottom flaps of the purse down to about 1/2". With the sides already removed, this makes the purse the perfect size for this thin candy bar.
This purses will make a great little gift, or add a gift card inside to take it up a notch. I also love the idea of these purses being party favors. Which makes me want to throw a party just so these can be the party favors!
Incase you missed it, I have linked the two other videos with this die set. Check them out here:
Hey there stamping friends, I am back with Episode 2 of my February Stamp Set of the Month series. This month's featured set is the Everyday Purse bundle from Concord & 9th, a collaboration set with my friend, Becky Roberts of Inking Idaho. I am in love with this die set and am excited to be sharing new ideas with this bundle for you each week.
This week, I wanted to use some specialty papers by Tonic for a leather look for my purses. And I decided to turn them into clutches.
The paper that I used to make these clutches is from Tonic's Specialty paper line. The red purse is die cut from the Red Berries paper and the silver from Pewter Slates. Both of these papers are Hand Crafted Cotton Papers. They are very soft and delicate. So when using this paper for these purses be sure to treat them with care. Because the end result is stunning!
Because this paper is delicate it gave me the idea to line it with patterned paper. You can get a glimpse of it the picture above and see it being made in the video below.
For the red purse, I used some fun black and white patterned paper that I had in my stash for the liner.
Also, the liner helps hid the end of the clutch handle.
The tassels on both purses were made with the Playful Lightweight Paper pack that Concord & 9th carries. With 10 colors in this pack it is easy to find one that will coordinate with your project. But if not, one of the colors is white, so you can always add ink to that one so that it matches your project exactly.
Here you can check out the video, making of these clutch purses and get all the tips and techniques to creating these clutches. And I'll show you how I made the patent leather accents.
Below I have listed and linked the items used to make these clutches. Affiliate links have been used. When you click and shop the I do get a small percentage of the sale at no cost to you. And that means you get to help support this blog and YouTube channel. I think it is so generous to shop the links of those makers that inspire us and give them credit for the inspiration and knowledge they share with us. So, I encourage you to shop with those that have done that for you.
Thank you so very much for spending a little time with me today.
Hello my stamping friends! Today I am here with Episode 1 of my February Stamp Set of the Month series. Which is actually more like at Die and Stamp Set series. This month I am featuring the Everyday Purse builder die set and coordinating stamp set. I love it when a die set gets a coordinating stamp set instead of the other way around. And this die set deserves a coordinating stamp set cause it is soooooo good.
Concord & 9th collaborated with Becky Roberts of Inking Idaho to bring us this die set. My friend Becky designed this purse several years ago as a printable pattern and now has brought it to use in the form of a die set, I am so thrilled for her to have accomplished this goal. AND, I am so excited to have the die set, because of the recent computer crash at my house I lost my PDF of this purse. Plus, die cutting it is so much easier!
For Episode 1 I wanted to use my Concord & 9th background stamps give pattern to my purses.
The plaid purse gets it's pattern from the Gingham background stamp and the second purse get's it's dots from the Polka Dot Turnabout background stamp.
Look at all the fun details on each of these purses, all are die cut using dies from this 17 piece die set.
This finished purse is big enough to hold a gift card and wide enough to put some candy in with it.
I am in love with the pink and gray purse. I love that this gingham stamp set has two images so you can use the gingham on it's own or with this stitched detail image.
For the Polka Dot purse, I was able to get the multiple colors by using the Polka Dot turnabout stamp set. I use the Rose Petals ink collections by Altenew.
These purses make the perfect little gift to give a friend. Think Galentine's day, party favors, birthday gift with a gift card in it, Mother's Day, teacher gifts, neighbor gifts, a little something for your favorite beauty stylist, an no occasion gift for your bestie. The list goes on and on. You can see the making of these purses in my video below.
If you have not subscribed to my YouTube channel yet, you can do so here. I will be back next Tuesday with more ideas for you with this Die and stamp set. And I have often have other videos during the week.
Below I have listed and linked all the supplies I have used to make the purses. If you are reading this on the day it is posted the Everyday Purse builder die set is currently out of stock, but is expected to be back in, in a few days.
Thank you so much for stopping by and letting me share my creations with you!
